1. SD expansion - Not necessary for casual gamers We have that, while other companies have hard drives. Lucky us! 3. 2D MARIO!!!! NSMBW is awesome, harks back to the good ol days of Nintendo gaming! I hated NSMBWii, it is crap. I was hoping for something great, like SMB3.
1. The SD situation was Nintendo listening to what their fans wanted. It didn't make them any money and didn't do anything for casual gamers. What it did do was rectify something that was bothering a lot of gamers. 2. I highly recommend Punchout!! 3. Just because you hated NSMBW doesn't make it crap, it just may not be for you. Personally I'm really enjoying it and I'm sure many others are too.

What happens when Nintendo's next console comes out? Most the casuals that bought a Wii only played the Wii Sports that came with it or maybe bought Wii Fit or Wii Play. What would make them get a new console? They bought the Wii to bowl in their own home or something to help them keep an eye on their weight and health. They already have what they want. Some got hooked on gaming again, some enjoyed it until the novelty wore off. Will the next console be as interesting to casuals or will the hardcore Nintendo fans be carrying it much like they did with the Gamecube? With Microsoft and Sony preparing their own motion controllers it seems like Nintendo is going to have a pretty hard battle.
A move that would seem like a great idea to Nintendo would be to release some Elite-like Wii Bundle with two "hardcore" games bundled, one by Sega, and one by Capcom. This would be a great way to release the black Wii, increase the System storage and toss in a SD Card while you're at it and they might catch a few new "hardcore" gamers as well as get in better with two strong 3rd party companies.

That sounds like a great idea. However the day that Nintendo decides to actually release an awesome bundle like that is probably the day I fly my pink unicorn to pick up said deal, lol.
I personally don't feel Nintendo has abandoned us.
The way I see it, the gamers that left them for Microsoft and Sony are being replaced by the new players out there who have never touched a video game in their lifetime.
And of course Nintendo has done great things like the topic person said: 2D Mario in the form of NSMB Wii, a new Punch-Out and SD expansion for the Wii to solve the memory problem. Why should we abandon them now if all they're trying to do is make everyone happy with video gaming?
The usual nonsense. People referring to "casuals" like it's a clear-cut noun now and not a highly ambiguous adjective. RWP constantly talking as if his being the only person in the world not to like NSMBW makes it a bad game. And something about short memories that so far no one has been able to figure out. Let me know if you can piece this together any better. Oh, and apparently the SD solution is Iwata's gift to man now, despite the fact that it was a very simple fix to a problem that should not have been a problem in the first place had they just thought ahead.

I was actually making a joke about having a short memory (as if I had forgot what we were talking about. See what I did there ) but your post was as humorous as always so I'll let it slide

I don't think that saying "it isn't for me" is correct, because I have enjoyed most other 2D Mario platformers. And I would be upset about SD cards too. It costs about $139 for a 32GB (maximum) SD card, while it costs $150 for 120GB 360 hard drive, and $100 for a 1000GB (1TB) USB hard drive that can be used for PS3 and PC. It is a rip off.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
Yeah...the lack of foresight regarding storage was a truely pathetic mistake on Nintendo's part. What's even worse is that they had the audacity to REPEAT the mistake on the DSi! Actually, they made it even WORSE by halving the storage. 256 MB? Come on, that cost you what, a quarter? A buck, maybe. And no SD solution. Morons.
Aside from the continually retarded storage situations, my main complaint with Nintendo is with whatever idiots decide what not to release in America even though it's already in English in PAL regions.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Why would the Wii be doomed? It's the highest selling console of this generation of video game systems. My goodness gracious, this talk of doom-age is absurd.

You're getting majorly ripped off dude if that's the price you're paying for a 32GB SD card. Now granted, I'm getting a PS3 because I can attach my 1TB external HD to it (that and they support just about any Bluetooth headset), but you can find a 32GB SD card for -- at a minimum -- half the price you quoted here, and flash media will always continue to drop in cost.
