My soul just let out a little tear of happiness. I still have tons of love for the original, just started a party of RM,RM,BM,WM (should be fun). But right after that FF3 is purely epic in every way.
yeah, the original game was named FFIII in america, and they're not changing it in the game. so it would probably cause even more confusion if they named it FFVI and then people started it up and 'FFIII' appeared on the screen D:

I think this was a mistake. After all the re-releases, spin-off games and sequels, they've finally gotten the point through to everyone that II = IV and III = VI. Going back to calling this one three is just going to start the confusion up all over again, I really don't understand why they did this. Changing the title screen surely wouldn't be that much work.
I could have sworn Final Fantasy was on the nintendo.co.uk list for releases this week, but they seem to have removed it.
Not that i'm too bothered. I have the GBA version.

I agree. And I have to say it gets to me a little when people keep referring to FFVI as FFIII in situations where they SHOULD know people might think they mean the real FFIII. (Same thing goes for II/IV)

Most people who don't know about the name change would usually read the "More Details" insert on the Shop Channel (if they really cared enough to do it). They explained it for II/IV, so i'm pretty sure they're doing the same for III/VI...
I am guessing they let slip the release rather then whether the game will eventually release.
Who cares if it says III or IV? As long as the game functions as it should, pretty things like that aren't that bothering. To me it makes it an authentic American version back when they had no clue that another three games released in Japan.

Was stuck on a part for ages because I couldn't figure out how to perform a simple move :/ so thought I'd mention how its done though I'm sure most will probably figure it out but if it gives you problems here's how its done:
Spoiler The problem I had with blitz was when to input the sequence, the correct way is press A on blitz you should now have a hand pointer pointing at the character its here you input the sequence, I kept pressing A twice once on blitz then on the pointer as if confirming as you would with an attack etc, hopefully that makes sense
