Ouch, and wow. Already at part three, that's incredible.

As for my progress, I tried the whole "get through the prison without being detected" thing for the special exp bonus, and it worked. The tricky part is getting your partners out of the level. To do this, you must have someone with [8+ move] rescue Brom.
Fortunately, the only people who can detect you are the three soldiers, so you can still grab the loot and get the Master Seal from the boss.

Wow, I never tried that because I always thought the other enemies would detect you at some point. That's very impressive.

Thank you. When doing this, you have to follow a very strict pattern, it took me many tries. At first I thought the guys at Intelligent Systems were being sloppy by just throwing a few soldiers around, but it turns out that they put a lot of thinking into making this map. Considering that I'm only training two of the units I was using there, the bonus exp (700 on normal) was worth way more than the fighting exp. (At the time, only Mist and Ike were being trained.)

And the bonus totally helped, thanks to that, I was able to class up Mist quickly.

So far, I've gotten through Serenes Forest. This challenge is surprisingly easy, sadly (since my only people on the field are strong, I have no worries of death). I think I'll try it on hard.

I'm at Rebirth(1) now, getting close to the end. I've had quite a few more deaths, but I still had plenty of awesome dudes left to pick my final team. It always takes me close to 2 hours to sort it all out, stripping the unused characters of all their items and skills and buying and forging whatever I might need. This will be the first time I'm taking one of the Laguz Kings (Tibarn) with me into the tower, and also the first time for Pelleas. And 4 Trueblades are coming along, so that should be interesting

As for my progress, it's time for me to fight The Black Knight. I used Bonus exp Manipulation, so Ike is maxed in everything other than magic and luck. Mist is unstoppable with either the Runesword or the sonicsword, considering her strength can only get to twenty. Zihark is maxed in all but magic, luck, and resistance, and seems to dodge all hits other than magic.
Brom still gets double hits on Swordmasters.

I'm pretty disappointed that you can only get Pelleas or Sephiran when doing a play-through on a completed file.
As soon as I saw that getting Pelleas wasn't an option for me, my knees started to shake. That was 'cause I knew that I couldn't get Sephiran either. (it's also my 4th play-through of Radiant Dawn.) Also, because of this, you can't load a new save file from PoR.

Of course! I'm just annoyed because I beat the game multiple times, then decided to start a file on hard while not choosing a "game cleared" file, only to find that I don't get the special characters.

Also, if you get Kurthnaga to his max level, he becomes almost as powerful as Dheginsea. If I remember correctly, he gets one less strength than the King Dagron.

Heh, I never use any of the Laguz (except for the royalty {that includes the herons}). Whenever I have them on the map, I just put them to the side unless I really need them. Ranulf is the one that I have tried to ignored more than anyone.

I also hardly ever use the Laguz, so maybe I should do a Laguz focussed playthrough sometime. The best way to get them experience is by letting them fight untransformed, but that's pretty risky.
I do love Mordecai's Smite though

Yeah, I like Mordecai's smite. That is, I like steeling it for my better characters. (Oh, ho, ho!)

For me, I usually use this website solely for finding hidden items and finding secret shops before I beat a Fire Emblem game for the first time. After I finish the game once, I'll use it to find out growth rates, secret character recruitments, etc.
I feel like using it is cheating on the initial play-through.

Yeah, it's true, I didn't know that until you told me. It's too bad that her strength can't hold up, though. She could have been great if it did.

Also, it's time for the final battle in PoR, and I'm in the middle of the first chapter of "Part 4" in Radiant Dawn on hard. My characters are severely under-leveled (Laura=Bishop Lv.6 Micaiah=Light Sage Lv. 12 Sothe=Rogue Lv. 16)
I also have Zihark as a Lv. 1 Trueblade, and Ilyana as a Lv. 1 Archsage. All in all, I'm making it work. I'm trying to use Ilyana and Zihark as shields so that the others can level up.

That must have been one of my worst Radiant Dawn playthroughs. Not resetting made me play even more defensively, which probably cost me a lot of bonus experience. Edward was only level 15 when I went into the final chapter, but somehow he had all his stats except magic and resistance maxed out without using any stat enhancing items.
The bossfight was still fairly easy even though I lost Stefan and Gareth in the tower. Nihil is probably the most important thing there.

Man I had this game and the GC one stolen from my apt...together...someone my ex-roommate hung out with was a game thief with really good taste...I lost these 2 games, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story, and Threads of Fate on PS1, and my copy of Earthbound... I never even got to start this one since I hadn't beaten the GC one yet...I kinda liked the FE series, but I'm reluctant to get back into it given my bad luck.

@Olorin Finished, huh? That was really fast, and on hard too. As for playing defensively, this challenge truly makes that the number one priority. I'm pretty darn impressed with how quickly you handled that, and by the fact that no one died in part 2!

Also, I was having a bit of trouble with part 4 chapter 1. Both Edward and Leonardo were under-leveled greatly, so my main focus was to level them up while keeping them alive, which was a tricky challenge. Now it's time for chapter 2, but I have no worries for this one, considering that I only need to use Brom and Nephenee for it.
All in all, I still have a good amount of the game left. I'm not doing the "leave your units dead" challenge, so this could take a while.
As for PoR, I'm trying to get near perfect level-ups for Sothe at the base so that his stats will be better when I use the data transfer, and it's taking forever. I like to look at Ike and Brom's stats, it makes me feel good.

Ouch, that's some pretty tough luck. I accidentally erased my entire save file for Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn after I had completed the game for the first time. It was an issue with me using an SD card wrong.
