I'm trying to play some Turf Wars just now but it's struggling to find 8 players.That's twice the countdown has reached zero.I'm now on a third attempt,got 6 players and its about to reach zero.I've never had that happen before,I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Managed to get in after 2 minutes on the 4th attempt but took took ages again to find 8 players for the next battle,then 30 seconds in communication error.I hope it's just a problem with the servers rather than a lack of available players.

I had fun also. for a moment I was starting to doubt my weapon of choice but eventually we got some wins . On that first victory I literally camp for a few sec in the middle of the map and pop out to pick people off by surprise then i had echolocator charged so it made aiming even easier

@OorWullie: Me and my son have had one or 2 of those recently as well. I'm guessing it's looking for more of a proper match as I've had it very good the last 4 play session with good match making. I'll take a time out or 2 for good match making but not to happy about the dc's.

Anybody want to do a twin squad or more I'll be on for the next hour or so.

I dunno, maybe tomorrow...spent too much time trying to make a rage gif from a Youtuber, lol. Might finish up MH4U and play another 3DS game for a bit.

So after doing some reading up I think I will rent this game first and see how I like the full version. Don't get me wrong it seems fun but the fact that online multiplayer is only one person is kind of a disappointment for me since I was hoping to be able to play this with my son.

Could've been worse. Singing vs Dancing is an okay theme, but C'MON! It's freaking Transformers!!! It's just not fair.

Yesterday, I played a random Turf War session where everyone were around level 28-35 and with very fast lobbies. It was fantastic. Now, the Japanese splatfest is on, and I get matched with level 7-16 and just occasional 20+ players and the lobbies taking quite some time. Anyone else having the same issue today with random Turf War? Ranked lobbies seem to work the same way as usual.

BTW, the "Dance" splatfest tee looks nice!

@jariw: Yeah I was wondering why I didn't get matched up with any Japanese players today. But they're of course having their Splatfest.

On a similar note, I've always wondered how the matchmaking works in general. Is it set to "global" except for when it's Splatfest, where it's just in your region? Can I play with people from America for example?

The matchmaking is global. In Turf War, you're should be matched with players of your own skill level and playing style.

I didn't realise there was a Japanese Splatfest today,that explains my trouble finding players earlier.

Good idea, though I'd like to vote for the penguin.

Also, Cheddar vs Brie (Cheddar wins if it's extra strong mature) and Amiga vs Atari ST (also one sided).
