On the first splatfest it took me about 6 hours but it was so long because i was losing more than winning. I hate that you almost always get paired with super low level people. Just made it to fiend with all loses >_<

Yeah that happens to me all the time... :/
Anyways I'm having allergies and trouble sleeping, so...yeah. Gotta take medicine which will make me sleepy.

After looking at some people's posts on the NA Splatoon community, it looks like you can still do private battles during splatfests. Are you still limited to the Splatfest t-shirt when playing with friends?

Interesting first hour of splatfest so far. Won on Moray Towers 73-12. teams were 29. 23. 19. 9 vs 22. 12. 7. 4. Kind of saw that one coming. Then won on Camp Triggerfish 43-40. teams were 23. 21. 11. 10 vs 25. 23. 22. 17. Called it a night after that one, not going to get any better than that. And I made it too defender the match before, but it was too ugly a loss to stop with.

Due to the stage selection I was playing with the splattershot w/ bomb and bomb rush. Weird choice for me but it seemed to work. Enough range to get the buckets yet still fast enough for the gaitling gun, and turf war means bombs, boms and more bombs. Turf war really is fast but so much less hectic than ranked.

So it seems like there are there are a lot of marshies over here in NA, considering I'm in lobby for a while and often vs marshmallows as well. And all this talk of hotdogs made me believe I was in the minority here! Well regardless, well see the numbers after its over.

Splatfest hasn't started here yet. I think it's kinda interesting how tower control can be very, very different depending on who is playing. One match I had a team of people who seemed to be only interested in defending. I was going in hard trying to ride the tower and everyone else just sat back waiting for the other team to get control. Another match my opponents seemed oblivious to the fact that I was riding the tower to their base and instead wanted to just hold the centre section.

I've had really zero problems all night. The only 3 disconnects were in the post results. I would say my team went about 75 to 80% wins. I finished at champion and that's all I'll be able to do.

I say Splatfast is a good time not only to rank up gear but try out practically every weapon.

The Disruptor sub is actually better than I thought it was.

I keep reading it as "I'd rather roast a hot dog" and "I'd rather be a marshmallow" for some reason lol.

I have to say, this seems like a one-sided Splatfest (and the first one I've gotten to partake in). Had plenty of marshmallow vs marshmallow matches. I got to Marshmallow Champion in about 2.5 hours. By the way, I got the Squid Girl hat and dress! Now I just need the shoes. Also, a pair of fake contacts is one of the new head gear.

Getting to King/Queen is literally more than double all the points you've gotten prior. I'm more than half may through these 99 points so I'm going for it. 3 hours and running.

Anyone else notice there were many communication errors between matches but far fewer 4v3's than previous Splatfests? I didn't notice any lag and never got disconnected during a match, so it seemed like my Internet was fine but they were taking steps to try to reduce the lopsided matchups from people that were having Internet problems.

Well after doing Splatfest for 4.5 hours I finally got there. I'll reserve my final judgement until after I get those sea snails, but I'm going to count on not worth. I was crushing those games for a while, but around 2/3 to go I hit a small loss streak... and did that time rack up. I can't imagine getting up to King with anything less than a 75% win rate. It took too long as it was and I won a considerable amount of my games (at least 80%). Oh well, at least I'm a Marshmallow King.

Something that hit me while playing was that you're basically part of a Callie and Marie cult during Splatfest; makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

And I didn't get any issues except for one laggy match but that was just one guy, and 3 disconnects after the match was already over (well fine, I wanted to switch weapons anyway).

I mean I'm not opposed to the idea but each forum section is supposed to only have a certain number of stickies, what do you think @LztheQuack ?

I've just played non stop from one Callie and Marie announcement to the next.,I don't think I've ever done that before.It's that new leaderboard that's to blame,I couldn't stop playing until I was number 1.Joey was neck and neck with me for ages so that kept me going but he gave up,after 3 and half hours someone had to.I kept going for another half just to be on the safe side

Wasn't there already fake contacts made by the Tentatek brand before the update? Or did they add another one, but made by a different brand?

New thought. That Japanese Spaltoon website w/ the rankings really needs to be an app (or whatever you want to call it) on the Wii U menu. They had 1 for MKWii Channel, haven't really seen one since. I'm ok if it's just a front end button that opens up the web browser to the website as long as it can automatically log in whoever's NNID is signed on, both my 2 kids and I are playing Spaltoon. Does the web browser keep a separate cache per account? Don't think my kids have ever used it.
