The bucket looked cool too

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

O.o There was a bucket being used. Never would've expected that as a possible weapon. The gattler on the other hand was one of the leaked weapons, so I'm not as surprised by it.

Edit: They also showed some parts of the new unknown maps. They look pretty cool and one of them seemed to be a perfect area for chargers, but I didn't see any Single Player features in them. Hopefully they incorporate them future in maps.

Awesome new weapons. That bucket in particular.

It would be hilarious if the bucket ends up being the most OP weapon in the game. I would be okay with that.

@Ralizah: I'm at the last boss in Teslagrad and have been there for months. In also at the last boss on Puzzles and Dragons as well and have been there for a week. Its like less then say 5 hours of grinding or practice to beat yet I still haven't. I'm horrible when it comes to things like that.

Me too. Now that I'm deliberately going back and finishing games I never quite finished, I'm always amused to find that I'll often stop playing right before the final boss or dungeon. You would think, having invested so much time in the rest of the game, I would find the strength to power through to the end, but that's usually when I end up dropping a game. Heck, I almost dropped Majora's Mask 3D recently right before the final boss fight.

@pikminfan22: I had never thought of it being a sub weapon but I highly doubt it will be. I would think it would be added to a lot of other weapons of that was the case.

Camp Triggerfish is pretty fun. It's really simple but good for Splat Zones battles

I didn't like Camp Triggerfish as much as I thought I would. It's not a bad map, but the layout doesn't really suit my playstyle. Might end up liking it more over time, but right now it's middle of the road for me.

I did have a great match on this map in Splat Zones, though. My team only had two seconds left on our timer, and the other team had over 70 seconds left on theirs. There was less than two minutes left in the match, so we just had to stall long enough for them to not have enough time left. They killed me and someone else on my team, and quickly gained all the momentum and stage control. After getting killed again, I decided to come in from the left and attack from right over the splat zone on my team's side of the map. The match ended up going into overtime, and my team won by having one less second on our timer. I also got to rank B from that match, so I stopped playing for the night because it's all downhill from there.

I think Camp Triggerfish works well if you're using a weapon with good range. I use the Splattershot Pro and I can hit the guys on the opposite side and keep some good distance. I think I'd have a hard time if I was using a Roller or an Aerospray. Snipers seem pretty good too.

@MisterMan: I use the Splattershot jr, so range can be an issue at times. I have to get pretty close to the edge to shoot at the other side of Camp Triggerfish, so I had to use bombs often when I wanted to play it safer. Because it can still reach the other team's side, I think the Splattershot jr can be useful on this map in Splat Zones when you're trying to keep a lead. It still has great coverage, so it's also decent in Turf Wars.

That new trailer looked great, bucket looked like inkbrush w/o the roller component, just constantly splashing if you hit the button fast enough. I could see the minigun giving arespray a run for its money in being OP, Im guessing they make you really slow to compensate, a true tank type character. Im guessing RPG could be coming, with a very long charge time, maybe like inkstrike.

Camp Triggerfish seemed great for splat zones, I was about 7-7 tonight using the .52 gal deco. Cant use that weapon in turf was though, too slow for me.

Looking forward to rainmaker. Is the thing we carry our weapon, it looked like it was shooting something out of its mouth? If we have to carry it but not be able to shoot thats going to be a very team oriented mode, 4 v 3.

Summer of Splatoon continues unabated, hurrah.

Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

@rjejr: Isn't the Inkzooka basically an RPG? Kinda

Not able to watch this right now, but there is a new commercial for Splatoon in Japan. Looks like there is a minigun-like weapon in it.

There are 1 or 2 new maps in that video as well.

@jariw just watched it a little while ago. Interested to see how they will work out.

Also GameXplain did an analysis on it recently.

Thanks for the link! The thing I'm wondering (that wasn't part of the GameXplain analysis) is: don't the wires on the bridge map look very similar to inkrails?

Anyone else finding the lack of Japanese players in Ranked Mode all of a sudden? Is there a Splatfest going on over there because I can't seem to find even one.

Yes, their 3rd Splatfest, with a battle over 2 different brands of tea (Lemon vs. Milk Tea). The Milk Tea apparently look like this:

They should really make all Splatfest on the same day since I've been experiencing nothing but lag and communication errors. Had I known sooner I wouldn't of bothered playing today. Playing Ranked Mode this way is truly a form of Hell that manage to knock me out of +A.

I haven't had any connection issues today, apart from a 3 vs. 4 match. I mostly played Turf War though (only 2 matches on Tower Control ranked), since I'm yet 100% familiar with how all the things work on the new map.
