What's your dream special weapon? Mine's Self-Destruct. This is obviously self-explanatory; With the press of the right stick, you'll destroy any opposition of the sort within a wide radius. You'll be dead, but sacrificing yourself at the very end can do wonders, right?
That's cool but I want mini ink strikes you can send across the map to different points.

@Spoony_Tech Well I do want them to raise the level cap, and all those hacker "found" weapons makes me think they will as everybody being at level 20 really doens't make any sense. But it could have been purposefully to get better players out of turfwar and into ranked to give new players more of a chance to be productive. Worked on me. Of course just having turf ware split between levels 1-10 adn 11-20 would have worked too, but they were probably afraid of splitting up the install base that much and people having too wait too long to play. Same reason no weapon change or backing out of lobby, once you're in you're in.
If level 20 is sitll the max after the big August update that would be a shame though. Like the $299 Wii U price. Gotta give the people want they want.

i Like this idea,
how cool would it be to have a mine, places on the inkling's other side, and after placing the minds you have this switch use and all of them explodes at once

LOL.... Mini Inkstrike Rush.... that's cool. @Aozz That'll be cool, but I think that will only be effective when you can see the enemy. Remember that you can't see enemies on the GP screen, so placing mines at the other side of the arena might not be very effective. Of course, you can make educated guesses and dominate with that special!
I do like the sound of these made-up special weapons. Since a Self-Destruct was already mentioned (loved "Spite" in Uprising), I guess mine would be something supportive.
A "Guardian" special where you support your teammates with buffs for a few seconds but in turn, you can't move while using it (and maybe showed you to opponents on the map). Your teammates would have improved speed and tripled defence. At first, I thought about it being a Bubbler buff to everyone except you or their attacks becoming capable of OHKOs but I imagine that'd be unbalanced (at least more so...).
Honestly it doesn't sound that creepy imo. It's like moaning metal and such, which makes sense in the place you are. This question is though, why did Nintendo bother putting it in?
It is pretty soft and hard to hear though.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
Problem w/ self destruct I think would be too many jerks just using to it mess up the game. It just seems like that kind of jerk weapon, people just ding it for no reason.
Other problem is everybody doing it all at once in splat zone battles near the end. Might not be too useful shooting somebody on a moving platform, would be an easy way to stop the rainmaker omr moving forward though.
I'm not opposed to the idea, just thinking about how it works in practice. I do think there would need to be a 10 second penalty on the respawn pad to keep people from spamming it. Even jerks dont' want to be stuck on the respawn pad for 10 seconds doing nothing.

Ok, so I don't play shooters very often (meaning ever), so can somebody give some tips on how to battle people. I run into one-on-one shootouts all the time where we are just shooting each other in the face, I get splatted, and the other person walks away clean. And I know I am hitting them because I can hear the noise it makes. Or I am shooting someone and they just turn around and nail me and I'm dead. I don't get it. Also, they can jump out of the way but jumping never works for me, even rollers still get me all the time. I know the point is inking turf and not killing, but it is very annoying to have to respawn every 15 seconds because I get killed and can't touch the other person.

Go to the testing area and test each weapon to find what's working for you. You'll need hits equal to 100 or more to splat an oponents without additional abilities. Also pay attention to the paint/reach range of each separate weapon.

From what you say it sound like a range matter, each weapon have a different range and speed of fire, it's important to shoot opponents from a distance you have an advantage with, else they'll always walk away after splatting you. I would suggest you to train a bit with your weapon, there is even an area for that; do some tests for leanr your weapon's range or at least to get used to shoot as soon as the reticle confirm you can hit and you'll start to splat ground and inklings alike.
Oh... and don't waste time jumping, I don't say it's useless, but it's not super useful either and it can only mess your aim if your not used to it, making even more likely to be the only one getting splatted.
@Xyphon22 - I've been having a similar problem myself of late so I decided to switch weapons. Not sure what I'm going to settle on but trying them all out gave me something new to do.
OK, a few things to keep in mind. If you are somewhat new to the game gear does matter. It's not the end all and be all but if all your gear is for things like speed and ink refill but the other player has gear for defense and offense, well even w/ the same weapon they are going to kill you before you ill them. Gear has 3 sub slots, choose wisely.
Also, areospray is still the most effective weapon for most people. Damage and range may be low but it shoots really fast.
If you are new to the game and under level 10 or so just keep using the weapon you get for free at the start of the game then bubble.
In turf war, just avoid people and go ink somewhere else, not everybody has to be rambo. Of course in the warehouse you don't have much choice, that area is too small for real gaming, but others it's easier. And even on that one, stay to the side alleys. ALl levels have side alleys that need inking.
Run, run away!
Dont play ranked, they are all trained assassins in there.
Just have fun and don't'worry about it, it's a game.

Thanks for the tips. I think my biggest problem is with the reticle. Is it just me or are there two of them? Even doing the charger amiibo challenges, I rarely hit the enemies first try, especially in the Octoling battle stages. I think I keep using the wrong reticle to aim. Basically, I'm just not very good. Hopefully I'll get better. Of course, even when I have a kill/death ration of like 1/10, I still often end up with the best score on my team, it's just annoying to die so often.
PS, last night when I was having my troubles, I was using the Aerospray, which I think has decent range, right? So I don't know if that was the problem. Maybe I simply wasn't using my range and I was too close.
@rjejr Yeah, I'm definitely just having fun, just looking for a little bit of advice. And I got stuck playing the warehouse like 6 matches in a row, so that probably had something to do with it, too.

Aerospray has almost no range and does little damage, so you need to hit the person a lot, which is going to be a problem if you can't aim. . There is only supposed to be 1 aiming reticle but I think there may be another point that's always in the middle of the screen which is probably throwing you off. I've always thought it was a ghost/figment of my implantation but if you are seeing it too.. maybe it's an aerospray thing? RG is great in turf wars no doubt. It's the weapon I was using up until 2 nights ago when I realized I was always dieing as well. Switched to .52 gal, Spoony_tech's weapon of choice. Worked ok in turf, haven't gone back in ranked yet as I'm B- 0 points so if I die next match C+ again. .
Warehouse? I knew it.

Oh, really? See I don't really pay much attention to weapons' stats, I just use what I think is good and fun. I thought based on comments on here that it had good range, but I guess not. And I usually don't stick with one weapon, but I had a great streak going with it so I stuck with it. Then I ran into a very bad streak.
@Xyphon22 - I had one night where everybody was jumping around like they were on pogo sticks. Fortunatley I haven't seen more than 1 or maybe 2 since. Always good to get out of the lobby every once in a while to change up who you are playing with.

Yeah, I've started where in ranked battles, if I lose, I usually leave and find a new group. It seems like if I lose once I lose like 4 or 5 in a row. And it doesn't really take any longer to go back to the lobby, just a couple of seconds, so it doesn't really matter.
