Topic: Splatoon - OT

I wish they add some region filter games
i hate playing with japanese players, Its not always and its kinda rare, but its pretty annoying

Yeah!! Just got the game so, hopefully the update wont take too long! (sorry if my comments have been annoying!)

Motion controller users, how exactly do you play with them ? do you use the right stick and adjust the aim with the motion controllers ? or play completely with the motions?

i guess they created the game with motion controllers in mind so i guess thats the way to play it

You basically use the right stick to move your character and then move the gamepad to move the camera. Thats basically it

i know how it works but i dont "feel them", i need some advice on how to use them

I didn't like them at first so I switched to twin sticks. Thought that was awful so I made myself get good with motion. Use it to look up and down and the right stick for turning left and right. I do use a little motion for left and right when I'm aiming in a head to head.

So, either my internet is that bad or there is something wrong because I will enter a game, then play for 30 minutes and then be kicked out. IAnything I can do about this?

What does everyone think so far about the new weapons Nintendo has added so far (inkbrush, splash-o-matic, nes zapper)? Some people say they're boring and bad, but I personally like how they add a bit more variety and leave more room for personal preference.

...So what's everyone up to tonight? Was thinking of going online for a bit.

I really like how they have unique looks. I haven't actually tried the splash-o-matic yet. Is it out?
I'm not too great with the inkbrush but I'm much better with it than with rollers. Freakin' rollers...
The thing about the Nes Zapper is the Aerospray is basically better, I think.

Learn to use the Y button , a lot. And I use the screen a lot, not just to super jump, but just to know where to go. I dont like to super jump, I die too much-loved thst way, but in ranked battles when time is of yhe essrnce you really dont have a choice.

Im probably usec to motion, its the only way I played MK Wii and MK 8.

Oh, and Im rjejr and Im on every night for an hour or 2 or 3, ET.

The Splash-o-matic just came out. Most people agree it's basically an Aerospray with greater accuracy, less spread, and different specials, but I still find it to be fairly interesting. The Aerospray basically outclasses most blasters as far as I can tell .

Screw the Areospray, I'll take my .52 Deco any day over it in ranked battles. Hate the range. I find myself killing them more then they kill me tbh. I'll have to try the Zapper someday and this new weapon tonight for sure.

Anyone up for a game(s) o' Splatoon?

So I've just been trying for 10 minutes to get a game with no luck. I just checked NeoGAF and found loads of users are having the same issue. I know Japan is having it's Splatfest so players over there can't play ranked or regular mode, but I don't understand why it's giving the rest of us issues.

I've been fine and have been playing for 5 hours.

Wait, so when a Splatfest is going on, you can't play a normal game? That sucks.

How could normal online be able to play during the Splatfest, since the Plaza is redesigned and everything is taking place at night? Should Splatfest players see online matches in night mode and non-Splatfest players in day mode?

My Wii U as of last night wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi at all. This was very frustrating as I was trying to see the new weapon. I did get to test it out but that was it. I hope it connects today.

No communication errors for me, still, or that I can't play online. The only bad thing happening to me is the ink sometimes doesn't show when I splat it on the ground.
