I outsmarted a team that had 3 e liters they were so busy just sniping squids i easily snuck into there base and covered most of their platform by the time they figure out what was going on it was the last 10 seconds of the match and my team won XD

Hey, could anyone tell me if they have any connection problems with Splatoon or is it fixed now? Game updated months ago and since then I am kicked from a match due to unstable connection. It is every single match I get in. And I have a good 32mb internet connection with no problems on any other game. I actually got rid of the gane a while back but would repurchase in a heart beat if the connection problems were fixed.

The connection is fine and has always been fine for me, specially after the 2.0.0 update (the update where the bad connections were disconnected instead of causing major lags for the other players). I'm on wired connection.

If you get a "Connection Unstable" message, Splatoon is telling you that your connection is unstable. You need a good up speed, no interference, no packet losses, and preferably full duplex and good ping.

The connection requirement for Splatoon can't be compared with other Wii U games, except perhaps Smash 8-player.

@jariw: I am on a fibre optic broadband package. Stream content from my Xbox one and ps4 with no problems. Can download a gig of data in around 5-10 minutes and out of every single game I have for xbox one, ps4, ps3, ps vita, 3ds, wii and wii u (yes I own them all, no I never have enough time to play them all!) Only Splatoon gives me "connection unstable" problems. I have Halo 5, The Crew (A racing mmo with thousands of players playing accross an open world simultaneously), Final Fantasy Xiv which is an mmo and dont have a hint of lag on any of them. I fail to see how Splatoon is such a special and unique game that it demands a better connection than what I have. Its the game, it has to be.

@Marshi : chances are the settings of your router are to blame. I had similar issues with AC New Leaf - perfect connection except for the multi-player bits in that one game. In the end i got another router and that worked out of the box. Have you tried to setup a DMZ? Sometimes choosing another DNS server can do the trick.

I can say from experience that Belkin routers are useless. They rarely if ever work with video game systems and always disconnect daily. Go with Linksys/Cisco.

Coincidence or not, my old offending router was a Belkin and the new one is a Linksys

Hey @ELI-ASH I noticed you just started up a private battle out of nowhere and got it full, probably from your stream. Is it ok if I join those at any point in the future or you want to restrict that to stream peoples?

I visited my folks for Thanksgiving, and my Wii U could not connect to the router. Funny enough, it was a Belkin router. They are truly awful.

Anyway, I'm finally on my way to Rank C! Hopefully I won't lose all my points...again
