It's fantastic quality! Even if it's not an official Nintendo product, I still highly recommend it! I still wear it a lot while playing Splatoon. It's awesome being a true kid/squid!
@Blue_Blur: Cool! I probably would've bought it eventually anyway since I feel like it's a must-have as a Splatoon geek, I also still have to buy those awesome t-shirts from teepublic and redbubble. But since the hat on etsy is rather pricy (the one from my link was 19,38€ + 7,61€ = 27€, that one from your link is 33,92€ + 11,14€ for shipping, which makes roughly 45€ for a hat. I usually don't wear hats at all^^), I wasn't sure if it's worth the buy (and right now I don't really have the spare money for this kind of thing anyway) and couldn't find a reliable review. But if you're saying the quality is good, then I guess it's worth it.
And don't get me started with the colours, I couldn't even decide. If they weren't so expensive, I would get orange, dark blue, green and yellow.
@LztheQuack: Just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for it?
I just googled for the official hat and found it for 6,99 pounds (on sale, usually it's £9,99) in the Nintendo UK store. Sadly, they don't deliver it outside of the UK.
I guess I would have to contact a friend of my father's to buy it and then send it to me... or wait until I'm in the UK again. Why doesn't Nintendo Germany have it? NoE even sits in Germany... :/
@LztheQuack: Ah okay, then I guess it's the regular price if it's usuallz 9,99 pounds in the UK. But the quality is good, right?
Damn, the sloshing machine was just released. And it really looks interesting, judging from the stats, sub and special. Damn, I need more (virtual and real) money.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
1. Shoot EVERYTHING
2. Make a mess
3. Make grunts and funny sounds when you splat (kill) a player. Bonus points if people are watching you
4. Buy merchandise like squid hats and amiibo

@Freeon-Leon: Nope. Impossible (/s). I guess one could say every weapon that is overused feels OP because you're more likely to get splatted by an overused weapon, and you could argue that a good sniper > tentatek, but idk what else I could say. Honestly it's probably that Inkzooka that tips it over the line. But it's definitely not that OP.
@LztheQuack: Well I don't grunt but I am most certainly talking out-loud to myself just about the entire time.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels

@MasterWario: (Sometimes) I can deal with them easily with my MK II + 2 Attack ups but when they get close they usually do more damage than other weapons. And yeah, the inkzooka doesn't help much. And the fact that many japanese players use it
Or more seriously:
1. Play through the single player campaign first, to get used to all the mechanics.
2. The Gamepad aiming is worth it
3. In multiplayer, try to master as many weapon types as possible. That also gives a better understanding of the enemy team.
4. Choose weapons that matches the gaming mode and the map rotation
5. Invest in good abilities and sub abilities that suit your playing style
6. It's much cheaper to use the shops than paying Spyke. Try to only pay Spyke with super snails (Splatfest awards).
7. Staying alive is a good strategy. A respawn is around 11 seconds of no-playing.
