@martinskrtel37: The game is truly sublime.There are some tournament rooms with no items and you can make a custom race offline and online.It can be hard to find opponents on custom race though,at least the times I've tried it anyway.I've not played it since Splatoon come out,that needs to change this weekend.
@TylerTheCreator: really? I would think considering how active the online community is, it being one of the Wii U's flagship games and Nintendo's financial situation being not so great that we'd receive DLC for MK8 at least through 2015.
But who knows. I love the game as is anyway, with all DLC and Amiibo unlocks. I'd think they'd keep Smash DLC coming for longer, though.

I don't think it has to do with financial problems. The fact is, Mario Kart 8 has received a very large amount of DLC and Nintendo is probably looking to move on to other projects like Mario Maker, a few more SSB4 DLC, Wooly Wold, ect. More DLC wouldn't hurt but I think we've already gotten more than anyone expected.
This doesn't mean that Mario Kart 8 is going to slump online. There is still tons of fun to be had with this game and people will continue to do so until the Next Mario Kart in a few years.
I still would have liked a ranking system but it won't happen....
or even try to do some things Mortal Kombat X was were they feature interesting facts about the game during load screens....
For Example: The blue shell has been used 800,000 times.
Peach has been selected 35,0000 times
Moo Moo Meadows has bee used in 9,0000 online races.
Wario has placed 1st place in 760 races. onine.

An easter Egg has been found. Press L, R, ZL or ZR whilst selecting the Animal Crossing track to choose your favourite season. It works works offline though.
Sonic would be amazing if they decide to release more DLC. I feel like they won't though but if they do, the last three characters I would hope they release is Sonic, Bowser Jr., and Birdo.

I signed this petition, I definitely want Sonic as DLC or to be used in a future title. For now i have to dress my Mii up in a Sonic costume.
Is anyone getting tired of these VR grinders? i find it very unhonorable... they go into high BR or VR pros going into 1k rooms and abuse the inexperience... also clans in WW is not making things no better i would know this very well for i have been fighting this for YEARS!!!
