Gettin real sick and tired of people getting stars and bullets in 2nd and 3rd place or triple red shells multiple times in a row. I literally have to stop playing the game for weeks because it gets so boring trying to take down the undefeatable people.

It's much better now that it's more random. It was crap when it kept rewarding rubbish players with bullets, with only half a lap to go, and they go from 12th to top 3.

Im actually starting to get tired on how much casualized this game is.
No item holding without freeing the slot? Even more stiff controls? Cant turbo when you get returned to the stage by lakitu? Cant carefully maneuver to fool the red shells to hit something else?
Also for some reason, I recently started to get last place items in like 3th and 4th place. Was the probability changed?
@Gridatttack Most of the things you mention aren't "casualizing" the game. For example, no turbo means it's not wise to purposely drive off the track when an item is inbound and those games where you could fool red shells made it a useless weapon (what's the point in the item even existing). As for item balance, the first DLC pack changed probabilities probably to nerf fire hopping.

The turbo boost didn't completely made the red shell item useless. It was a smart tactic with its trade off.
You IIRC lost the items, and you also lost a bit of time, but not at much as being hit by a red shell, but it wasn't like you were completely immune to make it useless.
As for fooling a red shell, it was hard to do and you couldn't always do it (depending mostly on the track) If you were too good at it, there was always the blue shell
@Nintendo_Ninja: I'm neutral about Grumble Volcano. I don't like Cheese Land either; it's a really plain track in my eyes. I really like Wario's Gold Mine though, because of the huge drops. It's fun for me.
@Nintendo_Ninja: Grumble Volcano and Cheese Land are the 2 I dislike the most.I didn't like GV on MK Wii either or Wario's Gold Mine for that matter .I always seem to struggle on them for some reason.Funnily enough Warios Gold Mine is now one of my favourites.
I've never played this Splatoon come out, really need to fix that.
Does anyone know why in some races online, you are allowed to stop the item wheel when you get an item by tapping the left trigger but in other races it will not work and you need to wait for it to stop on its own?
I'm guessing it's another lag issue and the game will not allow anyone to stop it manually if someone's connection is bad or something but it's slightly annoying.
oh, and I just got Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS and gotta say Rosalina's voice in that game is so much better and more spunky than Mario Kart 8. I know the person doing her voice in MK8 wasn't the original voice actress but she really didn't do Rosalina justice.
