I hate spoilers, I'm going to skip this thread (I'm not checking game news today either) until Microsoft's show is over. And guys, use spoilers tags if you post spoilers (if you do). This thread could be nice as a "waiting together" place. E3 is like Christmas for us millennials and for older gamers like grumpy yet sweet NEStalgia. For Generation Z I guess it's not because they grew up in the 24/7 online spoilers era.
@Dezzy
I wonder if Microsoft will change their green signature color for their Xbox machine with different color.
Put some Tosca green or Aquamarine color for game box and it will looks beautiful.
@Anti-Matter I hope that they call Anaconda (the powerful one) Xbox 2 and Lockhart Xbox 2S. Keep it simple. Brand colour will still be green but I want to see some special edition consoles like the purple Xbox One S and the Design Lab to include Elite controllers.
@BlueOcean One thing is certain: they're definitely not going to call it "Xbox 2", seeing as the console's current name has nothing to do with a sequential number, but with being the one device that brings all your gaming needs together in a single package. For lack of a better word, kind of an All-in-One gaming device, in short: Xbox One, NOT Xbox 1.
For the record: I'm not saying that any of it makes sense or that it is a decent enough explanation, but it definitely is more than enough reason to not expect the next Xbox to simply be called the Xbox 2.

Less than four hours till the MS conference. Very excited. I skipped purchasing an Xbone after MS's disastrous 2013 E3, so I look forward to hearing every reason why I should buy an XBtwo in 2020. You had better come correct today, MS. Leave me breathless with Fable 4 and Halo Infinite and I'm onboard.

Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
Yes indeed, MS has delivered what I thought was impossible, the western release of PSO2. We'll have to see if Nintendo has a similar announcement on Tuesday. But if PSO2 on Xbox is a western exclusive then MS can lock me in as a day-one buyer for XBtwo. PSO2 will be my main game for the next several years.

Man just reviewing everything from the Xbox they really dropped the ball today. Not that it was bad, but they really had the stage to themselves and I really expected them to come out swinging for 2 hours. Saw a bunch of stuff that Im going to buy on Switch and PS4/5.
And saw this on twitter and its frickin hilarious lol
Wow, that Gears 5 trailer was absolutely terrible. Who made that trailer and thought it was good?
Also the new designs for the Battletoads are awful, they look like rejected Cartoon Network characters.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
Don't publishers know that cinematic trailers with no gameplay are kinda played out by now? Most people see through them these days, especially the kinds of people that follow E3 coverage. Really thought we were mostly done with that.
If you own ultimate edition or expansions bundle you can now uninstall "Expansion 2" and install the full size Lego Speed Champions (5.46GB). Also below is today's Inside Xbox focus (I posted it in the E3 thread):
@redd214 The show itself was decent, nothing spectacular, and certainly nothing like what Phil Spencer seemed to have promised beforehand. I believe he said something like biggest show ever, but that probably only meant in number of games, which was indeed one of the largest, if not THE largest number of games ever shown in an Xbox presentation.
But... (I hate to use this sometimes, but it is true) from a marketing and/or business point of view, they most certainly did NOT drop the ball. I don't agree with Major Nelson's Tweet. It actually kind of puzzles me, seeing as he's part of the team, so why he would (seemingly) want to undermine them, is beyond me. In my view, it's not a mistake, it's business strategy 101.
The thing is, that right now, they've got the most powerful games console in the world, and they NEED that leverage for the coming generation, to have a head start vs Sony. So, revealing all of it now already, without Sony not having done so either (both companies have been more or less equally vague, other than using words like 'faster loading times', 'ray-tracing' and 'greatest console ever'), could or would put them at a disadvantage right out of the gate.
This means that, depending on Sony's actual PS5 release, there's still time to tinker away on the hardware, and to make sure that the next Xbox is indeed once again the most powerful console in the next generation as well, so they can focus on the rest of their targets, because having the best console was of course only ever one battle in the entire war. They've still got quite a few battles to win, such as with the content.
They did also show some results in that regard, so I don't think they're not making any effort towards that goal. Ultimately, I guess we'll have to wait and see, but them not showing their entire hand already really wasn't as bad a move as it may have seemed, because it offered no possibility for Sony to one-up them.

@redd214 Never mind about the Tweet. I read up on it, and it would seem that it was used out of context, because apparently, it was a Major Nelson quote concerning the PlayStation.
Then again: what do I know? I hate social media, so I don't use Twitter...

@ThanosReXXX the tweet was more about just the irony of it nothing more. Though his replies are quite funny too.
Glad you enjoyed the conference, was lacking what I wanted out of it, though the Lego DLC for FH4 did compel me to hook the S back up to play it on Thursday
