OK, Octopath on GamePass is pretty cool.

At this point, I wonder how long it is before a PS4 port happens? Kinda funny seeing Sony being the odd man out on a Square-Enix JRPG, lol.

Maybe they're skipping PS4 to work on the PS5 version, @Ralizah ....? But yeah, that is somewhat weird! I'll hope it does end up there, as well, for those people I know that weirdly like PS consoles

@BruceCM lol I'm not sure what the point of a PS5 version would be. It's a pixel art game that went overboard with post-processing effects.

Stuff like this really does highlight Sony's fall from grace when it comes to Japanese games compared to early last gen.

Lol, that was kind of my joke, @Ralizah .... It'll run in 4k at 60 fps, with extra post-processing effects when it comes to PS5 next year! I guess Sony's more interested in the bigger name stuff, like it's deal with FFVII Remake & the upcoming Project Athia?

Loving the Bethesda dump. I’m replaying oblivion since I don’t feel like tweaking the ini file to make my controller work. I miss my mods but not enough to reinstall it. I figure I’ll bet bored before I want to play the expansions as I will only advance the main quest enough to start the crisis.

@BruceCM Sony's total disinterest in smaller Japanese stuff is ostensibly the reason NIS has started distancing itself from them. It still blows my mind that Disgaea 6, the next mainline entry in a series virtually synonymous with the Playstation brand since its inception, is Nintendo-exclusive in the West.

@Magician That doesn't look like a great deal to me, they are buying based on 2020's number which are inflated due to the global lockdown. When people can go out more there will be a big drop before settling to something slightly better than their 2019/pre-lockdown earnings. But hey-ho it's their money and I'm not fussed with Discord.

I never had an Xbox but gamepass is looking better everyday... Does anyone use it on PC and/or cloud? What is your opinion of the quality of experience compared to Steam and cloud compared to GeForce now?

@Dezzy It's a messaging service. Originally it was marketed just for gamers but has now become more centralised on "people" rather than just "gamers". You can host servers with up to 500,000 users, (25,000 concurrent) so it's one advantage over more standard services like WhatsApp.

I dunno if anyone else is finding this Spring Sale supremely disappointing?

A lot of these games are often reduced in price, so there's not much rare here. They're also not particularly good deals in most cases. Most of these games are already cheaper than this if you buy retail copies. Unfortunately I'm on Series S so can't.

The recent PSN sale is pretty disappointing as well, prices-wise.

The big reason I'll never buy a digital only console, lol. Saving some money early on is probably nice, but it wouldn't take long at all for the difference in value to even out if you play a lot of games over time.

It only makes sense economically because I buy almost no full price games for it. I'll probably only buy like 2 this year. Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster will definitely be the first one (which is definitely worth the money), and then maybe Halo Infinite (although depending on how it reviews and how long it is, I might just play that on 1-month gamepass instead).

I'm trying to move towards buying less full price games and waiting for sales before getting the latest titles. I can wait for games because I'm getting some of the latest games through GamePass - I'm really looking forward to playing The Ascent, which looks fantastic in the latest trailer
