I had just picked up Ace Combat 4 (PS2) & Super Smash Bros. (N64) at a garage sale in the spring, so a lot of those by myself, as well as a replay of Kingdom Hearts (PS2).
Though on the weekends, me & my best friend goofed off exclusively with the most current iterations of the DBZ & WWE games on PS2.
Oh, & lots of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on GBA.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
2005 I was outside playing on the street with my friends in the hood. Recently I'm seeing kids playing mobile games from walking dead to honeyday Blitz 2. My the generations have changed. I'm still proud to be a kid who played outside!
I think 10 years ago was when Radiata Stories was released. Sounds interesting but I don't think I played too far into it.
Sigma Star Saga for GBA. Probably still playing Final Fantasy I&II. Maybe Zelda: Oracle of Ages (I know I bought Oracle of Seasons when it was still available new, but I didn't buy Ages until I got a used copy years later).
Checking the archive what I was playing then...
Super Famicom: Magna Braban, Doraemon, 3x3 Eyes - Seima Korinden, Record of Lodoss War
Famicom: Last Armageddon, Galaxy Odyssey
Maybe that was when I first played Lunar and a couple other Sega CD RPGs.
I can't say for sure but probably Resident Evil 4, TimeSplitters 3, Killer7, Soul Calibur III, Viewtiful Joe and Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes all seem likely.
I'm struggling to think of what else I played. Which is slightly odd in a way since I'm so used to SLOOOOOOWLY playing through like 6+ games but I dunno. I might've been playing Kirby Air Ride again.
2005...mostly beer pong. Those were the college years.
Didn't really play too many video games then, besides the occasional Melee tourneys. Also played some Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis games and N64 (OoT and Diddy Kong Racing) games on emulators occasionally. Oh, and Duck Hunt on a friend's NES he brought to school. That game is always good.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
In 2005 I was 22 and wasn't playing a lot of games. I played the occasional PS2 game, and played Halo with a group of friends, but overall I felt gaming was kind of stale in that time period. It wasn't until the Wii, more specifically the VC, that really got me back into gaming.
The Urbz: Sims in the City, Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends and The Sims 2 on DS. I must have finished The Urbz around 7 or 8 times when I first bought my DS as I couldn't afford any other games.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
Mostly Smash and Harvest moon. I didn't game very much in college... too busy and sleep was like gold to me.

@sillygostly: ooohh I really liked the Sims 2 on the DS. It was a bit disappointing compared to The Sims Bustin' Out, but it was still pretty fun to play.
It really had a little bit of everything. Darn, now I want to play it... My hotel is probably all dirty.
I always wanted to play the urbz (DS or GBA). But I never found a copy of it.
I was definitely playing a flavor of Doom/Quake at the the moment. I was recently married so I didn't have the time (nor the approval) to play games late at night, like I used to. I think that I wast playing Doom 3 at the time (when it came out, I didn't have a strong computer to play with). I didn't own a GBA or a NDS, but I think I got a GameCube from my brother (I was 35 at the time!!), and played the heck out of of Sonic DX and, gasp, Superman.
