Dragon Quest 8, which came to North America almost 10 years ago. All summer long I played, finished and started right over again. I need it so bad on my 3DS!

Those weren't even the hidden ones(except for Metal Arms, which was multiplatform). Even Bomberman Generations wasn't a hidden game, for obvious reasons, but hardly anyone still cared. The sequel to that came out and was immediately dropped to like $5. Kmart still had this stuff new and cheap for years. They probably still have some GBA games that are brand new.
The hidden games were things like Amazing Island. A lot of the big titles that actually mattered on Nintendo are basically gone or have been watered down. That's why you have games like Bombing Bastards and Chibi Robo: Photo Finder, instead of Bomberman U and a Chibi Robo like the one on GCN. Those games couldn't have been on PS2, period. I'm not even surprised that Giana Sisters came back from Comadore 64. I do wish I would have had a PS2 and Xbox, though. I only had GCN, and I had to share it with my brother. That's how I had Sonic Adventure 2, Amazing Island, Bomberman, etc. I didn't really play the latter, though. We even had Pokemon Channel and actually liked it,

OH MAN how could I forget my GBA games! Back then I was also playing Megaman Battle Network 3 and Crash Bandicoot (also was playing Crash games on PS1).
@Waveboy Yeah A Bug's Life was fun at the time. Not sure if I'd enjoy it now though. I vaguely remember using different seeds that gree into different plants and throwing various kinds of berries to attack. I also somehow remember collecting letters to spell "FLICK" for something. Not sure how I remembered all that. My memory sucks.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
2005, I was a senior in high school, so... a lot of PS2, plus Diablo II and Age of Empires II on PC. Probably played my favorite few PS1 JRPGs through a couple times each that year too. Bit of Melee and a few other Gamecube games here and there too, when it was available. Didn't have a Gamecube of my own at the time.
That also seems around the time that I first got introduced to the Xbox ecosystem. Friend had an Xbox and we played quite a bit of Halo CE and Halo 2. Other than that and Fable though, I don't really remember getting into any OG Xbox games.
I dunno. I've never denied GCN got plenty of games, but I distinctly remember based on X-play, my trips to Hollywood Video among other things that there was a severe lack of new titles (or at least titles I saw or cared about at the time (sadly I think that included Baten Kaitos, which I deeply regret now)). Like I could find new games to play quite frequently but then sometime after Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, it just diiiiiiiied.
I got my DS at launch, but I can't remember any other game than Super Mario 64, so I probably still played a lot of GBA games back then; Pokémon for sure, Bomberman and Super Mario World also come to mind. On the GameCube I played a lot of Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Pokémon Colosseum and Animal Crossing. Smash and Mario Kart with friends. Mario Party 6 was also released earlier that year, so I'm sure I played that with friends as well.
I think I hardly played video games at this time. Maybe still Pokemon Sapphire, but I wouldn't swear that I did in 2005. Maybe also Sims 2 or Settlers or Zoo Tycoon or something like that, but again: I cannot swear I did at all that year. Probably Minesweeper and a lot of flash games online (there was an awesome site that unfortunately shut down, where they presented flash games that were worth a try and kept you from playing all the bullpoopypoo among them). Adventures and Escape the Room and stuff.
Not anything by Nintendo. Before I got my DSLite in mid 2006 the last Nintendo game I got was Pokemon Crystal. Which I played for quite a few years alongside a bunch of PC games. I didn't get a GBA or a Gamecube or any other consoles for that matter. 2005 was the end of a short gap where I pretty much only played PC games.
So C&C Generals: Zero Hour probably. Possibly some Halo and UT2004 thrown in there for good measure. Also I wouldn't be surprised if you found me sometimes pulling out Super Mario Kart occasionally.

Oh, I forgot I also had an Xbox and a DreamCast. However, I'm not exactly sure we had a working DreamCast in 2005... but I clearly remember playing Sonic Adventure 2 (or 1, can't remember). For the Xbox, I believe we had the Halo games, GTAs, Project Gotham, a certain Star Wars RPG, Jet Set Radio, and several other games I can't remember.
God first.
