So, between Crash Bandicoot 4 and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, PS4 is looking pretty strong on the family-friendly game front. Those will be a nice compliment to the gritty, hyper-adult Cyberpunk 2077.

They haven't even decided how many parts it's going to be in total. If the rest of the game is expanded to the same degree that Midgar was, it could seriously take them like 5 games in order to finish it. That's a bit too long to wait for me!
Tbh, I'm expecting VII-R-2 to come out in 2026ish, near the tail end of PS5/XBSX lifespan. The VII-R series will probably take 15-20 years to finish, with the last 1-2 games ending up being super rushed.
Didn't realized Kena was coming to PS4, guess I can take that off my list of PS5 exclusives I was keeping an eye on. Guess I'll be getting it sooner than I thought.
Edit: Also, I expect FF VII-R to have at least one spin off released between numbered titles, proooobably a Crisis Core reimagining.
@BruceCM Eh? I'm betting they haven't even come up with the idea yet. The spinoff will happen probably between part 2 and part 3, and they haven't planned that far ahead by their own admission.
I'm predicting a 2-3 year gap between VII Remake installments. They're definitely positioning this game around a similar release schedule and format as the FFXIII trilogy. And each new game will probably be a timed PS5 exclusive for a year before coming to Xbox Series X and PC the following year

I can't imagine them not finishing FFVII R before PS6 comes out, I'll say that much, I just hope the devs don't get weird again (like SE does) about making the most impossibly, pointlessly polished game and just work with what they already made to complete this story within my lifetime.
I don't even care with FF VII R and their spinoff.
I'm already sick to hear them.
I still waiting when FF IX remaster get physical release.
Too bad if i have to consider FF IX PS1 version with very 240p pixelish graphic on my PS2 fat. 😕
I'm seriously willing to bet that they won't finish this remake series one way or another.
That's a stupid bet to make, because unless they directly say its cancelled, it could be 20 years and you still technically could not have won that bet yet.
It's a safer bet to support (insert video game kickstarter that got more than 1 million dollars not named Wasteland 2 here).
@Octane That in of itself is honestly a far fetched idea. The first game may have taken almost 5 whole years to come out from its initial announcement, but given they set so many plot threads unique to the Remake games and changed things drastically to the extent they did, It would honestly be more appalling if they didn't finish it.

What could possibly happen to make them not finish it?
Once it's actually started and they've got the engine, assets, staff all sorted, it's going to be a lot cheaper to make the next parts than it is to make any other AAA game from scratch. So the financial incentive will be there, as well as the pressure from the audience. It would take a lot to override both of those.
Some datamined files from the Marvel's Avengers Beta may have allegedly confirmed the inclusions of James Rhodes/War Machine, Kate Bishop/Hawkeye and Jennifer Walters/She Hulk.
Again this roster really isn't pulling from much else other than what's topical and relevant to the movies much like MvCI, considering War Machine is an MCU Avenger and Kate Bishop and Jennifer Walters are about to be introduced in the MCU. I don't really like MUA3 but at least its roster had a healthy balance of more obscure picks for characters and characters that are more mainstream.

Tbh I’m expecting the Suicide Squad game to be better than the Avengers game. Avengers will probably end up being a decent AAA title but it doesn't seem to be embracing the joy of having powers whilst Suicide Squad is skipping that problem altogether and has hunting Superman instead which sounds fun.
I'm curious to know how sensitive that is. I'd LOVE to see optional gyro aiming become more of a standard thing in Sony's games. HZD would have been even better with gyro.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Lol I haven't used gyro aiming once on the PS4. The only time I've used it at all is when using the PS4 controller with the Switch for Breath of the Wild.
@Ralizah I'll give it a try today or tomorrow, and I'll let you know.
Days Gone has it as well. Too bad both games got it in an update 1-2 months after release. I haven't finished Days Gone yet, so I have something to look forward to now.
