If there is an error trying to get your free stuff and the option to get free stuff goes away, do not fret. On the XMB (home menu bar thing, whatever it's called), go to Account Management > Transaction Management > Services. Find the option that says SCEA Promotion or something like that, then select "Free PSP Game 1" or whatever. It happened to me, and I was about to take a hammer to my system. Thankfully, someone showed me the way before that was necessary.
Just finished downloading Modtown racers. Looking forward to getting into the track creation part of this game - always did want to buy into it, but glad I waited now - $50 Aus game for free!
Modnation Racers... Quality controls? That's a stretch.
The track editor, sure.
I find it controls better than Mario Kart games.
Killzone is pretty cool. And a nice surprise. I didn't know anything about this game, so the fact it wasn't a FPS was a big plus for me.
Though I have two PSP Gos there's no point in getting the other two games. I got Persuit Force and Little Big Planet for free when I bought the console (came with ten free games... TEN!), and Persuit Force sucks anyway.
Now to head on to the Japanese PSN and indulge in those freebies. Wonder what the better half is going to get of those PSP freebies.
No, no, no, no no! Pursuit Force is one of the best action PSP titles on the system. I bought it at launch and just went back through a few hours of it last night. The on-foot sections can be extremely frustrating if you don't realize that it's a cover based mechanic - squat down with square and then move out and shoot enemies by strafing while locked-on - and the shooter/driving mechanics are still insane. Jumping from your car whilst shooting the passenger and driver in the air, stealing the car only to then hijack a helicopter, etc. I love this game!
Killzone Liberation rocks too, but watch the difficulty about middle ways through it. Don't start it off on the highest difficulty or you'll regret it.
I regret getting Modnation Racers. I was so excited when it was announced for PSP but held back because of the issues. I'm also disappointed with Sony Cambridge in not fixing LBP PSP's issues. If I didn't have to worry about the game crashing and levels ending up not being complete because it would crash, I would STILL be playing LBP PSP continuallly because it was the reason why I even got me a PSP in 2008 after hearing of it coming over to the PSP (and my PSP came with Ratchet&Clank Size Matters!)
Really gutted about that announcement of the whole "stop updating LBP PSP". Really really gutted.
Oh, and I'm playing Killzone in normal mode. I know not to be macho man and take on the hardest difficulty- as experienced with other games.
I haven't really gotten too deep into ModNation, but from what I've seen, it's a solid racer. I love the near infinite amount of customization you can do. The controls could be better though, too slippery

I thought so at first, but after a solid few hours of play, I find them more comfortable than any of the Mario Karts now.
I loved ModNation for the PS3 for a few hours. Then the cheap AI got annoying and the controls didn't help. Hope I enjoy my psp version. If not, oh well, it's free
