Topic: PSP Fan Thread

I’m looking to get Metal Gear Solid for it. I’ll check out Castlevania too. Playing it a little bit now and I remember how cramped it made my hands feel. Playing this and then the Switch is funny. In a way the PSP feels more solid. My joycons wiggle a little bit.

We'll keep in mind they're separate units slotted into the screen, while the psp is a single hunk of plastic and metal.

Even the Switch without the joycons doesn’t feel as solid.

Yeah odd... The PSP is 13 years old and hasn’t bent or cracked yet. I love my Switch the most out of all the handhelds I own. But it definitely doesn’t have the longevity potential that others before it have.

Well the PSP has, so far, been the only big name handheld console to die on me completely.

And believe me, I have a decapitated Nintendo DS that still works.

My PSP still works fine. But it’s always a guarantee that after several months of not using it the battery is completely dead. My DSi has sat unused for probably a couple years and still had battery life when I tried it. Nintendo does make a solid handheld system. Not trying to take anything away. But the PSP amazingly still holds up well. I have the original model. I’ve read the others after it weren’t as solid.

Mine was the 3000-something model. The screen was considerably better than the original’s.

Just bought both Syphon Filter games on eBay. I feel like I’ll be on an eBay spree for a bit. I did this with GBA a few months back.

Bought a PSP a few months ago. Been loving it! Never was a Sony guy, but I am hooked on this thing! Just been diving into a bunch of games, they are so cheap (for the most part). But for now been playing Madden 12 with 2018 roster. Seems right since Switch won't being getting Madden anytime soon.

@NinChocolate Also I love the Yu-Gi-Oh games on the PSP. Lots of cards and story mode. Especially the GX series

Valkyria Chronicles 3. You can find an english patched version on the internet. You can skip VC2 it's very grindy and share 90% of its content with superior VC3 so it could burn you from playing it.

The PSP is one of my all-time favorite Handhelds. Downgraded from the Vita to it and have not looked back since.
