I generally don't play mobile games, mainly just Hearthstone. Recently though I got hooked on Table Top Racer, it's available on both iOS and Android. It's a nice Mario Kart clone with toy cars (kinda like Micro Machines) but game play wise it remindes me of Mario Kart. You have different cups, and can get different weapons out of boxes on the track, bombs, which are like the banana peels in MK, Homing rockets, etc.

Controls are nice well responsive (You are always going, all you do is steer by either tilting your phone or tablet or by tapping the left and right sides of the screen. You earn coins depending on how well you do in the race, which can be used to upgrade your car and by others.

There are two versions a .99 cent version and a free version which plays ads in between each race but if you watch the ads you get coins to use on upgrades for your cars which I found interesting.

@RR529 I know you are always talking about mobile games I really recommend you check out this one especially if you like the Mario Kart series.

@Tasuki, thanks, I'll look into it.

Anyhow, I'm currently playing Dokuro, a puzzle platformer where you play a little minion skeleton (think Goomba in Bowser's army type minion), who decides to betray his big bad boss & free the princess trapped in the castle.

There are some enemies, but it's more about solving puzzles & deactivating traps so the princess can make her way out. You get an elixer early on that briefly lets you take on a "Hero" form, and both "Minion" & "Hero" forms have their own abilities.

As a minion you can double jump & get into small areas, and as a hero you can kill enemies, carry the princess, and stand in water. There are some other abilities you get that you can use in either form, as well.

Also picked up Danmaku Unlimited 2 since it was on sale for ¢99 (usually $4.99), and that's what I'll be woking on next.

So a Co-Worker got me back into Marvel Contest of Champions... such a fun game.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Since my last post I have completed Dokuro (it was a nice puzzle platformer with a unique style).

I also finally got around to playing Monument Valley which was indeed a beautiful experience. One of the most memorable games I've played this year.

Also, after almost a year of playing (without spending a cent), in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, I finally have a high enough team cost to have my team completely composed of UR class characters.

So... Layton's Mystery Journey is launching on mobile for $15.99. Full game, with the usual downloadable puzzles. Even has offline play.

I was planning on getting this on 3DS, but if this is the full, no-frills version of the game, I can't see a justification for not getting it on mobile. ESPECIALLY with the family sharing option.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Finished up the Mirror of Spirits expansion of Lara Croft GO, not too long ago (nice to get back into it for a bit). Also still playing Dokkan Battle, which is holding it's second anniversary event right now.

Also thinking about finally upgrading my tablet. Dokkan Battle is starting to run sluggishly on my Galaxy Tab 3, haven't been able to log into Fire Emblem Heroes for months for some reason, and I haven't yet been able to try Super Mario Run (crashes upon startup) or Pokémon GO (isn't compatible with my device).

Saving up for an Asus ZenPad 8. A more budget tablet, but one of the better budget options out there from what I've read, and it looks like it'll somewhat outperform my 4 year old Samsung (2 GB of Ram VS current 1 GB, Quad Core VS current Dual Core, and it comes Marshmallow OS out of the box, and has been updated to Nougat, VS current Kit-Kat. Screen Resolution & Storage are the same, but hopefully the other upgrades will give it the edge in running the games).

Are there any mobile city builders that are like PC city builders? IE anything that doesn't have timers when you build and make you click on things to collect taxes? I have a feeling that none exists. Don't want mobile trappings in this genre.

Been following a new mobile MMO for awhile now, Warhammer Odyssey. It launched today and I am excited to try it out. It looks similar to a Warhammer MMO I played on PC years ago, Warhammer Age of Reckoning. Hopefully I will report back here after I play it for a bit, but I was curious anyone else trying this game out, and if so what are some impressions.

Got a notice today that I can download Diablo Immortal because I pre-registered for it, which I totally forgot I did. I figured I might as well since I do have a phone. Could be fun as a time waster, so I will probably check it out here later today.

Played about 30 minutes of Diablo Immortal and yep, it's Diablo. It feels alot like Diablo 3 so there's that. From what I have read the biggest thing is that it has MMO elements like WoW or any other MMO. There is guilds and raids and such like traditional MMOs and PVP. So far it's fun but I will have to see what this games catch is before I commit to it.

Got my Demon Hunter to level 15 today and got past the tutorial. The more I play this game the more surprised I am by it. This is the first mobile game that I can say doesn't feel like a mobile game. I can play however long I want to and don't have to worry about energy or some other timer gimmick and there isn't any real game breaking Micro transactions.

I am curious to see how this game plays with a controller or a keyboard and mouse set up, but without a PC right now I can only speculate.

is this on android? you could use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for this, or even a bluetooth controller, wired controllers are also an option with an adapter. 😉🎮

Game on. 🤘 Rock on. 🎸

Tasuki

@markmarkmark Yeah sorry I not going to carry around a controller with me wherever I go. Not only that but if the input device is bigger then the device your gaming on you got a problem.

Got back into Horizon Chase last night. I can't praise this game enough, especially if you like retro type racing games. I just cleared the Chile tracks and am working on 100% the California tracks.
