Ok guys I got a problem here.

I want to get the new 3ds and a smartphone. The problem is that I can't get both at the same time. I know the smartphone that I want and its the Samsung Galaxy note 4. Problem is its too damm expensive. But here's the thing, my dad has the samsung galaxy s4 mini. So I want to know if his phone is good enough to run games smooth or do I really need to get note 4?

Well the Note 4 is technically categorized as phablet while the Galaxy S4 is a smartphone. Which means that the Note 4 is closer to a tablet then the Galaxy S4 meaning if you are looking for something to run games on your best bet is to go with a tablet or a phablet.

I recent got the Note 4 cause I wanted a phone but I wanted a tablet too for my Internet stuff, watch Netflix and play some of the games I saw and I have to say I am not disappointed.

The main problem I read with the Galaxy S4 mini is if you plan to do alot of stuff like play games watch videos etc. the battery goes fast so take a charger with you. The Note 4 however has great battery life and chargers quickly.

I am not sure what your main use for the device will be but as I said if it's going to be for gaming, Internet etc more then phone use your better off with the Note 4.

So I finally was able to save up enough game credits to by another character in WWE Immortals plus I manged to earn one as well. So today I earned Daniel Bryan and bought Bri Bella so with those two I was able to make another team. So now I have the following teams

Kane, Roman Reigns, and Paige
Daniel Bryan, Bri Bella, Trish Stratus.

Well now that Hearthstone is available on phones I am finding myself playing it alot more then I did on my PC. For some reason this game just seems natural for a phone or tablet but maybe that's just me.

BTW, everyone should check out el.

It's a free game (truly free, no IAP's), and is a "runner" with actual levels. It has twelve in total (though the first & last are just there to set things up, and conclude them respectively, so 10 "real" levels), and it has a real artsy flavor to it (reminded me of NightSky, artstyle wise).

It'll only last you a couple of hours, but it's worth the DL, IMO.

Even the ads are optional, as far as I'm aware (if you die in a level, you have the option to either start over from the beginning, or watch an ad and start at the place you died. That's it from my experience).

I hardly ever play mobile app games, but I thought I'd mention a turn based RPG based on the show Steven Universe. You'd think being a licensed game based off a show would make it a bad game by default but it's actually pretty good! It's sort of like Paper Mario in the sense that attacks require various player inputs like aiming a projectile, or stopping a spinner or bar to determine the strength of an attack, or simply tapping at the right moment. You can also block moves to lessen damage. I highly recommend it for some quick time killing. Your entire party shares a point system and various moves cost points, and these points automatically replenish at the end of every turn. How you distribute those points is up to you so you can spend them all on having a single party member attack multiple times or use some and save the rest to add to the next turn.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I saw that in the Featured apps list the other day and did a double take. Sorta tempted to take the plunge even though I never checked out the series.

Got a slight issue with my tablet...

Whenever I turn it on (actually powering it on or waking it from sleep mode), the internet browser always turns itself on and automatically redirects to an ad (an ad for Candy Crush 2 seems to be the most recurring one, but there are others).

However, it only does this when first turned on, doesn't interfere with general use of the tablet, and my anti-virus software hasn't seemed to pick up on it (if it is a problem), so should I be worried or not?

I clear the history, cookies, and cache of my browser everytime I use it, BTW.

Played with my phone for a bit. Has anybody played Hero Siege or SpellSword? They're pretty fun and kind feels like a game I would play on my 3DS. Hero Siege is basically Binding of Issac without the random dungeons and with RPG elements. It has a lot of gore though. SpellSword is a one screen beat'em up with missions. It more fun than I thought. Just completed a few.

MLB.com Home Run Derby 2014 had a big update:

  • Title has been changed to MLB.com Home Run Derby 2015 (complete with a new icon).
  • The Cincinnati Reds stadium has been added, and takes over the Minnesota Twins stadium as the free level (the Twins stadium has been locked behind a $4.99 pay-wall, but the differences in stadiums are just cosmetic, so you can still do everything for free).
  • The game is even more generous with in-game currency than ever before. You earn just as much as before, but you can now double your haul by watching an optional ad.
  • The menus all have a redesigned look.
  • Some new camera angles have been added. While before all angles were from behind the ball, I've noticed some shots now are from it's front (so it looks like you are in the stands, with the ball coming to you).

How it affects me personally:

  • While the menus all look crisp & clear (as does my batter's model while in the menus), the graphics in the new stadium are all fuzzy (which wasn't the case before). However, I have no idea if that's just the way it is now, or if they're using a new graphics engine that my tablet can't process as well. The good news is that the gameplay still works as smooth as ever.
  • My gameplay records were all erased in the update, though all my in-game currency and unlocked items are safe.

If anybody happens to have a Windows 8 device (Phone / Tablet / PC) the recently reviewed 3DS Eshop - Title Bloo Kid 2 is half the price and supports the 360 / Xbone Controllers and has crossbuy.

I want to get Chrono Trigger on Android so I want to know the complete size of that game assuming that you have to keep downloading the game from time to time. Also is a Phone like Samsung Galaxy S4 mini compatible with something like this game that I want to get?

While I don't have Chrono Trigger, I do have three other SE games, and they only had to be downloaded once.

Now, for some reason it does have to authenticate your license every time you play (which can be finicky, as I haven't been able to log into any of them for over a month...), but the game only downloads once.

As for the game's size? Click "More Info" under the game's description. It'll be at the bottom (for the record, FFIV doesn't even come in at 500 MB, and it's fully 3D).

As for your phone? I think it came out the same year as my Galaxy Tab 3 tablet, which has no problems running FFIV, DQIV, and DQV (other than when I can't log in, but that's all on SE's servers, and has nothing to do with the device's power).

So lately I have been in a pinball mood thanks to a friend od mine so tonight I downloaded The Pinball Arcade on PS4 and bought a few tables on it. Anyway there was an Internet outage in my area so I couldn't play the game on my PS4 (darn you constant Internet connection). Well I was still in a pinball mood so I figured let me see what free Pinball games I can get on my phone. Well to my surprise they have The Pinball Arcade on the Google play store.

So you get one free table Tales of Arabian Nights and you can by more if you want. The thing I like about this game is that they use real tables and they are always adding new tables. I probably won't buy any tables on my phone but the free one will be good for me to handle a pinball craving at work.

If you enjoy pinball games I highly recommend this one there are alot of options and even a two player mode (you pass the phone/tablet back and forth). The sound effects are great and they are all licensed tables. The controls are decent only problem I have is if you move the phone/tablet around you shake the table and if you do it too much you tilt the table so you have to be careful with that. Other then that it's a great game.

I got a question big time.

My Dad claims that I can connect my phone to a hard drive. But here's the problem, When I download games from the phone, does it stick to only the SD card and not through the hard drive? And even then, I find it annoying to simply use my phone's hard drive just to play the games I want when I can use my SD card instead.

I downloaded Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle to my tablet. I know, I know, it's typical F2P stuff, but it's DBZ gosh darned it.

Right now I have Android 18, Future Trunks, Tien, Yamcha, Jeice, and Cui on my team, along with Chiaotsu, (a weaker) Yamcha, and a bunch of Red Ribbon Soldiers & Saibamen in my catalogue.

In other news, I'm trying to collect & play as many free "gamer" games that have no IAP's as I can, and I'll try to spread the word about the good ones.

So far in that regard I'd recommend Persist: A Tale of Redemption (a traditional 2D platformer, that's unique in that you lose an ability every level, making traversing the levels even more difficult), Tiny Dangerous Dungeons (An awesome little "Metroidvania" in a Game Boy graphical style), el (an artsy "runner" style game with actual levels, of which there are 12, though that number consists of a prologue & epilogue. This is actually the most difficult of the bunch), and Fairune (a full little RPG, complete with overworld, 3 puzzle centric dungeons, and a final boss fight).

Persist only took me about 15 minutes to beat, but it's absolutely worth the download (and heck, this one doesn't even have any ads either). TDD took me about an hour to beat (it has skipable ads that pop up every other time you enter a door. As it doesn't have individual levels to fit ads inbetween, I was able to look past this, especially since it's still 100X better than any sort of microtransactions). Not sure exactly how long it took me to beat el, as I died the most trying to beat it (it's ads are completely optional. You have the choice to restart the level close to where you died, once, if you watch an ad. You can just choose to ignore it though, and restart from the beginning). Fairune took me 3 hours to beat (it only has one small ad on the title screen, and on the game over screen).

I can't remember the name of it right now, but I'm also playing a free Mega Man style game right now, where the playable character and bosses are all anime styled personifications of coding languages. As the game runs on Unity, the main character is called Unity-Chan (there are actually a bunch of free games that use the character, but this one seemed to be the most "core", and it's been pretty competent so far). The sprite animations are actually pretty good looking, and it promises 50 levels (I can confirm it has 8 worlds, and the 2 I've beat have had different background art in the levels. World 1 had a futuristic city motif, while the first half of world 2 had the outside of a castle in the background, while the second half of the world was inside the castle. All levels share the same tileset for the platforms themselves, but this is a free game with no IAP's after all). I think the only ads I've noticed so far are small ones, on the level complete screen & I think the title screen.

Prune is a great little experience on my iPad.

It has been receiving quite a lot of attention in the media too, from the likes of Business Insider, Destuctoid, Kotaku and The Verge, which you can find out about below:

Sometimes the 'gamey games' works best on iPad/iPhone as opposed to those console-lite games. Her Story and Prune are the best games I have played on my iPad this year (so far), both of which are worth your time and money!

Anyone played a new mobile game called Crashlands by Butterscotch Shenanigans? It is phenomenal and I actually think the best iOS or mobile game out now (currently rated 99 on Metacritic). It's an action RPG with lots of exploration, crafting and humour. Highly recommended to any mobile gamers/users here.
