Don't forget, Command & Conquer 1, 2+Exp., and Red Alert 1 are all freeware on the official C&C site. If you're a fan of the series, RTSes, or newcomers looking for a good way to get into the genre, I highly recommend giving them a try.
Five acclaimed indie games in one package for $anything. It's like that World of Goo offer from awhile back where you could pay as little as one cent, but now you get World of Goo and four other games, including Aquaria, which is the only game I want. I feel bad only offering them $5, but I'm really only doing it for one game that at $20 is too expensive when I doubt I'll even be able to run it.
Impeach a Weasel is great mindless fun when you have a few minutes to spare. I dare anybody to get anywhere near my highest score of 66.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
I don't know if anyone's mentioned Wesnoth yet (www.wesnoth.org), but it's a hell of an open source strategy-RPG game with a few billion hours of campaign content, and a robust and entertaining multiplayer mode.
If you haven't already played Every Day the Same Dream, the above may not make sense, but if you have, you'll likely be interested to know that someone made a short, 8-minute film based on it! Very good game, pretty good movie, not quite what I'd imagine the game in film form though.
That was fairly well done, the story has much more weight to it when its an actual person. I was waiting for that leaf to fall...it never did

Nifflas (Knytt Stories, Within a Deep Forest) has a new game that he quickly developed. It's called FiNCK, and uses the throwing mechanic from SMB2. I've DL'd it, but haven't started it. But hey, it's Nifflas, his games are all awesome.
Downloaded a little game called Dwarf Fortress and it looks like it has so much potential, but it's crazy confusing! There's so much going on and so much to remember that I lose track a lot of the time. I guess I only enjoy traditional games to a certain extent. lol
