I underestimated the task of making the demo. So many bugs came out and some of them critical + I started a course in C#.

This is a new enemy I designed it is called "Wandering Grave". It is a patch of earth with a grave on it. It wanders on its 2 legs made from coffin wood. It will attack with malevolent spirits.

This is the "Phantom Lancer". A spirit that attacks with its spear. I thought that it may be cool to have only helmet, gauntlets, shoulder pads and a cape The weapon you see Erhard using is the "Seraphos, Archangel's Wrath".

I haven't updated in a LONG time!

I started making assets for my game again! And the equipment menu is almost done!

I really wanted to make it not so cluttered!

On the right you can see the statue of the main character and in the slots there the currently equipped item could be seen. It is only for display purposes.

The rest is quite simple.

You pick one of the categories and in the middle you can select an item to be equipped to the slot.

I know it is not much but here is a 5 years old demo video with some basic gameplay. I released a demo back then and people played it and this guy decided to share it on his YT channel. All of my footage is deleted as the game is changing fast.

@Diogmites Damn I REALLY forgot about that "boss". Actually, this is like an enemy in that room right now He is in front of a crematorium now in that room and when you kill him the real boss comes out

As Death will be the main merchant in the game, I want to create another undead being that just love to craft. So, if certain materials are collected and brought to the undead blacksmith, he will make something for the player. It is not a crafting system. You just find a really rare material and the blacksmith will make you a weapon, armor or accessory. It is one time deal per material

@Zuljaras man it's giving Souls blacksmith in the alternate dimension haven full of other dead NPCs, in all the good ways. Glad youre still going with this one.

@jedgamesguy Come to think of it, it really looks like the dead blacksmith from DS3 I am currently drawing paintings for the walls, and I dread the moment I have to rework my equipment menu

I have been working on the design of the menus lately!

Those are my final drafts for the Equipment, Lore, Bestiary and Magic menus.

I have to design the main/navigational pause menu, the usable items & materials menu and the key rebind menu in the exact same style, so it all fits together!

The new thing that I wanted to add is the Items category in the Usable Items menu. There you will be able to choose from 2 categories Consumables and Items.

The consumables are your standard potions, anti-venom etc.

The Items tab will be items that you collect for different purposes but are not usable in any way until something is performed.

I got the idea about that after I learned how to work with Data Structure lists in Game Maker Studio instead of arrays. The DS Lists are more flexible.

Also, the best thing I added was for the equipment menu! Now the items in their categories will be displayed in the order you have found them. Before they were fixed because I did not know how to code that behavior!
