When did people get so sensitive about spoilers anyway?
I've been noticing this a couple of years now and every year it seems to get worse and worse. It's not only happening in the game community either, the film community is off even worse.
@EvilLucario I wouldn't say the premise for the original game is overdone or boring, though. I just didn't care for it. Also, keep in mind, I'm not a huge fan of revenge narratives.
@kkslider5552000 XCX borrowed the best part of AoT (the composer) and ditched the rest
Although, in fairness, the original at least didn't have "TAKE THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!"
@MegaTen
well.. that’s called marketing. And they are doing really great with Switch imo.
They showing their games to sell them to wider population, not to spoil you. If you like to be surprised about games, why are you here on Xenoblade 2 topic and on this forum in general?
@MegaTen Im shocked so people are against marketing a game to the general public. They need more of a hook than we do.
They need to really be pulled in to a purchase.
What baffles me though is how vocal people are against it.
Cool, you didnt watch the stuff. Fantastic for you. Why keep telling us this crap? Some of us want to know more about the game. The average joe wants to be sold on it.

@MegaTen I agree with @BLP_Software. If you don't want to know too much about a game, you can always choose not to watch the trailers and/or gameplay videos of it. However, if you want to know more about it, it's great you have the option to watch them. If they weren't there, you wouldn't have a choice. Choice is always the best option.
It's not too hard avoiding info tbh. At least from my experience, I've basically always managed it. In all honesty, I'm usually my own worst enemy, and I caved with BotW.
Kind of glad with seeing the stuff with this game, since I'm very divided on it.
@MegaTen If you know more than you wanted then you made the choice to watch. Thats on you not them. They are marketing the game, you make the call whether to listen. People who straight up arent interested in the game disnt watch it. Funny that. Know what else they didnt do? Shout about that fact.
If you want to avoid spoilers fine. But the way YOU feel is not how others feel. "Knowing more than you wished for" is entirely dependant on the individual Im afraid.
This is a complete none issue im afraid. Mountain from a molehill. Dont wanna watch and go over your spoiler threshold? Go for it. Dont push that on us though.
Plus, you know that bit at the start of the dorect? Thats a trailer. It revealed things. Like trailers are meant to. But that was still "spoilery". But thats the same as any other game Im afraid.
You want to sell a fence sitter? Show them the game!
But again, mountain from a molehill buddy.
How you feel isnt how others feel. Personally, if its put out in marketing its meant to be viewed. Its not like the Mario Odyssey stuff showed most of the game (it didnt) and I still had plenty of surprises.
In fact if you know the size of the Xenoblade games, Im amazed they could conceivably show "Too much" or ruin the whole experience in a short 20 minutes.

@MegaTen Over-exposing their own games seems to be Nintendo's newest thing. It's why I skipped the Xenoblade direct: I already know I want the game, so there's no point in spoiling it further.
With that said, I don't care too much about spoilers as long as it's not some huge plot twist or something.

@Ralizah Perhaps you should consider one of the complaints from the Wii U era.
"Why didnt you tell us X game is coming? Bad marketing."
Solution: do the opposite and people choose. Key word: choice. Again, your opinion is your opinion. Stop pushing it as fact thats its "spoiling everything" and that you speak for all of us when it bevokes "too much"

I remember days when people was like - no marketing for Wii U, thats why it’s doomed!
Now people are like - wow too much marketing aka spoilers!
You can never please all people. @MegaTen@Ralizah maybe YOU don’t need trailers or directs to sell over game, but many children and their grandparents do need them because they don’t know they want THAT game YET 😉
There is a reason why Switch is so much more popular than Wii U. And that reason are not us from Nintendolife community who knew we’ll buy one on release from its Nintendo NX days. And neater is hardware itself
EDIT: ever heard of the phrase ‘hype train’ 🚂?! 😁
I so much hate that train but can’t help getting into it and later regret many purchases I made
does anyone know if best buy is doing a midnight release? Or was that only for Odyssey? I know they are focusing on gamers but i don't know how often they do midnight releases.
It's the turn of Vandham, who is the leader of a mercenary band and his blade Suzaku to be shown off in this Tweet. Vandham is voiced by Tesshou Genda and his blade is voiced by Takahiro Fujimoto. Unusually there's no short video clip this time around.

It's obviously for the millions who buy Mario and Zelda but have hitherto avoided Xenoblade.
Great stuff.
He seems fairly clear that it's not actually a sequel to the first game. The title is just because it's structure is similar to the first.
So there goes my theory that Shulk is the Architect.
Oh and a location we haven't seen before (I assume that's the town on the industrial desert one):
I think they're probably making the most of the fact that this is the first time Japan might buy the crap out of a Xenoblade game.
I was wondering if the anime style was chosen for that reason too.
