I got the Splatoon 3 Pro controller and wow, what a difference. I've been using it for 3 days now and it still seemingly has over half charge left. I sure missed the situation where I don't have to charge controllers every day.
@Magician XSEED squatting on the Western distribution rights for ToCS1&2, along with a bunch of older Ys games, is probably why we'll never see localized Switch ports of them.

Yup, I've given up on us ever getting the first two Trails games on Switch in the west.
Why they refuse to release them despite already being on Switch in Japan and already having an English localization... who knows.
If I were Falcom, I'd say look, either you release in the west or we're contracting someone else to do it. If you take issue with that we'll just blacklist you from future bids, and you'll never get work from us again.

Ya, 40 hrs goes a long ways for a controller with HD rumble and gyro aiming. Dualsense barely lasts 1 play session.
It's also just a really, really comfortable controller. The most ergonomic controller I've ever used, in fact. It's not perfect, but it's my favorite controller ever made. Ergonomics is soooo important. Dualsense controllers are too fat and doesn't have a deep enough groove beneath triggers for fingers, which results in my pointer fingers digging into the sharp edge of plastic under the triggers, while the Xbox controllers are too fat and result in the shoulder bumpers not being easy to reach. Furthermore, the Xbox Series controller analog caps are too small and don't feel comfortable. 6 billion dollars research and Nintendo comfortably outdesigned them.

@JaxonH I still think the GameCube controller takes the cake for most comfortable controller, but the Switch Pro Controller is a really really close second.

I don't think so.
As PlayStation gamer who have been playing DDR console version for more than 20 years, the PlayStation controller with symmetrical analog buttons and proper D-pad + command buttons in 4 directions, it felt really fit in my hand and perfect for playing DDR console version and other games.
@IceClimbers
GameCube is super comfy, but has other shortcomings such as the tiny d-pad, weird right analog, missing left shoulder bumpers and odd face button placement. In terms of just holding in the hand though, I think I agree.

The D-Pad really lowers my estimation of the Pro. It's terrible. And the placement is subpar as well for a primary control method.
The texture of the pad isn't as comfortable as the one on the Series X controller, either.
In general, I think the DS4 is still unmatched for me as far as console pads go. The GC controller is up there as well, though. Love the giant, clicky buttons and springy triggers.
The reason I like PlayStation controller and always consider them as a role model because the D-Pad and 4 action buttons schemes looks perfect for playing DDR as it looks like DDR pad on Arcade.
Also, the symmetrical analog buttons are perfect for playing Bishi Bashi games by Konami with analog buttons using.
@Ralizah
D-pad is subpar for fighting games, but since I don't really play those much (and when I do I typically use modded d-pad joycon in handheld or arcade stick docked) it's a non issue.
For standard everyday use of the d-pad in 99% of games, it works flawlessly.
Never noticed texture. Feels fine to me.
Switch Pro is the only controller that has a deep enough groove under the shoulder buttons that it's not hard to reach the shoulder bumpers L/R. It also has immaculate placement of analogs for a natural thumb resting position, as well as face button placement. I can't stand PS analog placement, though I would at least tolerate it if the Dualsense wasn't so fat to the point you can't reach the shoulder buttons easily. Xbox has better analog placement but same issue- too fat, fingers can't reach shoulder buttons. Also no gyro, no HD rumble, etc.
As much as I hate the PS4 controller I'm inclined to say its at least better than the Dualsense ergonomically. At least I can reach the shoulder buttons and sharp edges don't dig into my fingers from being too fat. Dualsense would be my favorite controller if it had a deeper cutout under the shoulder buttons so your pointer fingers don't have to stretch to reach and don't have the plastic edge digging into them.
@JaxonH Gonna strongly disagree. It hits accidental inputs constantly. My Pro controller has THE worst D-Pad I've ever used. I had the same experience with another Pro I used at one point as well, so it's not just a faulty unit.
It's slick in hand. Feels a lot like the joycons after the matte coating wears off.
The Playstation stick placement is ideal for a controller where you might want to use either control option as the dominant one. It's the one consistently superior aspect of their controller design, IMO. Can't speak to the Dualsense, unfortunately, as I've never handled one.
Hypothetically, if the DS4 ditched the lightbar, replaced the options/share buttons with ones that protrude more, had the same texturing on the back as the Series X controller, and could actually manage to last more than a few hours, it'd be my ideal console controller.
Oh, and while we're at it, the Pro controller is the only one that doesn't have a headphone jack, which is another strike against it for me. I have to play in handheld mode if I want to hear the game through my wired headphones.
@Ralizah
My original one used to do that. Sent it to Nintendo for a return, and never had the problem since. All my Pro controllers after have been fine in that respect. I tried. Went to settings and purposely mashed the edge of the Dpad buttons to intentionally make false inputs... but I can't.
No headphone jack is a downside, but not for me, as I use a wired setup from a DAC or just use surround sound.

Also have to agree the Pro Controller is probably my favourite of all time. It just feels so...right in my hands. The analogue sticks, face buttons, and shoulder buttons all feel perfect. I do, however, understand any criticisms of the d-pad or the lack of analog triggers.
I find the d-pad to be serviceable, but often not ideal for precise maneuvers (Tetris comes to mind). I've had at least one controller which has had this worse than another - I wonder if this is either (i) a QC issue or (ii) the d-pad got silently revised at some point. Either way, I agree the d-pad isn't perfect, but I personally couldn't give you an example of one that is.
Analog triggers? Hot take, but other than for certain genres, I don't think we're missing much here. In fact, in a lot of games I find that holding down analog triggers can be quite tiresome. In a future revision I'd like to see a happy medium - something like the Xbox Elite controller where you have analog triggers with adjustable stop distances; or the Dualsense where this is context-sensitive.
Speaking of the Dualsense, while I appreciate how Sony have tried to innovate with it...I overall don't really like the controller, and would say I prefer the Dualshock 4. It all comes down to ergonomics really, and in that area it feels like a downgrade from DS4 in practically every way. The new rumble features are kinda neat but I personally find they walk a fine line between immersive and intrusive. I've also generally not had the best luck with Sony controllers. To this day, Dualshock 3 is the only controller I've ever experienced drift on (and I've been primarily a Switch gamer for 5 years!); my DS4 randomly decided to stop connecting to consoles (with no solution in sight); and my first Dualsense arrived with dodgy face buttons.
Xbox has an all-round solid controller, I just wish they'd innovate a bit more (give us gyro at least!). It's my preferred controller for PC, however I find it just a bit chunkier in my hands than the Pro Controller. I also tried out the Elite Controller but couldn't get into it due to its weight.
i am confused with Bayonetta 3 file size,theres two confliting sources regarding this, Nintendo site state Bayonetta 3 file size is gonna be 16 GB, but the eShop show is 13.4GB, i believe on Nintendo site or on the eShop? both the internacional Nintendo and brazilian site/eShop show this information.
@Buizel Analog triggers? Hot take, but other than for certain genres, I don't think we're missing much here. In fact, in a lot of games I find that holding down analog triggers can be quite tiresome.
Agree 100%. For very specific games they're crucial- notably racing games. But for everything else (aka 99.9% of everything I play) digital is preferred. I hate having to press down a squishy analog trigger with long travel range when a simple button press is all that's needed. Imo, Switch Pro gets a +1 pt for digital triggers. Though I do agree, something context sensitive like Dualsense could be preferred, but only if every single game that doesn't require analog would lock it to a button press, which is doubtful. It also sucks battery life like crazy.
As for the d-pad, I know the early models were plagued with the issue of false inputs. But the more recent models got a taller pivot, just enough to keep it from happening. I actually love the Pro Controller Dpad quite a bit. At least, for the overwhelming majority of games I play. The only one it's inadequate for is Street Fighter (and, I imagine, other fighters requiring complex inputs).
My actual biggest gripe with the Pro Controller was the rubbery convex analogs. With sweat they can slip. I had mine modded to use Xbox Elite style analogs that magnetically detach. But they're WAY better than actual Xbox analogs. These are concave, larger and more shallow, the perfect size for your thumb to melt right on center. They're so good. I absolutely love my modded Pro Controller now. It's as close to perfect any controller I've owned has come.

I prefer the symmetrical analog buttons for PS4 / PlayStation style controller than the asymmetrical analog buttons controller like Switch / XBOX controller since I play games such as DDR that I need exactly same button schemes as DDR Pad on Arcade so my thumbs can navigate the buttons to beat the arrows quickly.
