G6 DAC is so good. It's the only one I could find that was compatible with Switch, PS5 and PC. Not Series X, but there was none compatible with all 4.

I genuinely haven't used my 800S much though. The Sennheiser Ambeo + SVS subwoofer is just too good. It feels like such a downgrade in comparison. Don't get me wrong- headphones provide a unique audio experience and sometimes I want that, but it's so much more convenient to just use the soundbar. The bass is unbelievably good. I highly recommend you get one, since you are one of the few ppl who appreciate good audio and have the money to afford such an expensive setup. They're even releasing a new, cheaper Ambeo that would be a great lower cost entry point, provided the audio quality isn't significantly diminished.

I do use headphones on PC though, as it drowns out the fan noise. But half the time I'm just using the Sennheiser Drop PC38x for voice chat. For the price, it's great. But compared to the 800S, not so much. But when you're chatting, you're not as concerned with the game's audio so no biggie.

I'm so into Fire Emblem I imported the European PAL version of the Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes collector edition. Should be arriving sometime soon (hopefully). Seems like even buying digital, I can't seem to escape the clutches of physical games piling up.

So, the Monster Hunter lovers already know about this, but it's so cool, everyone should see it.

Don't worry, I'm not trying to sell you anti-MH peeps on the game. If you're still not convinced by now, nothing will ever change that. Doesn't mean you can't appreciate something really cool from the game, though.

@Fizza In regards to your continued AA Chronicles shilling, my BF and I have made it to the final case of the first game now. It's been an utterly fantastic ride, but I have no idea how they plan on concluding everything in one case.

...I also wish they did multiday trials, cause hoo boy this is a long investigation sequence.

By the time the September direct rolls around, it'll be around 4 years. We know that development restarted at some unknown point prior to January 2019, as the reboot had already started by then. So yeah, an announcement late this year with a release mid-2023 (somewhere between 4.5 and 5 years of dev time) isn't out of the cards.

@Giancarlothomaz That actually wouldn't surprise me if it's a short partner direct primarily discussing third party ports.

Guys, something really scary happened to my Switch. I was playing Galactic Attack in handheld mode, made it to level 5 before getting a game over, and the score/high score burned in on the top of the screen. It's not even the OLED model, either, it's the same Switch I had since 2017. I turned it off, and I just checked again - it seems to have fixed itself fully, so that's good at least. It's off again by the time of this post. I had a bit of a panic attack when that happened though...that's one game I'm never playing in handheld mode again!

Has anyone else had that happen? I actually checked my Switch twice since turning it off after playing GA. First time, it mostly went away, but it was still visible when I turned up the brightness. Second time, it looked like it all went away even after cranking up the brightness. I'm sure it'll be OK as a result.

So.

Word is, we'll see Persona announced (whether it's just 4, or 3 and 4, or 3, 4 and 5, who knows), and a game that's been out around 4 years. Some speculate Red Dead Redemption 2, but I'm not buying that. I suspect we'll get Batman Return to Arkham, which has been out 3 years, and lines up with previous leaks.

It's also possible some other game was being referenced from 2018. If so, my bet would be "A Way Out". That seems like a game that could run on Switch, and is the type of lame disappointing announcement that would fit right in with being true.

But if we get Persona and Batman, I'm gonna be a happy camper indeed.

If it is RDR2, it'll be a cloud version, @JaxonH .... But I guess we'll find out what it is soon enough, at least

@JaxonH Batman Return to Arkham has been out around 6 years (came out in 2016), Batman Arkham Collection (Return to Arkham + Arkham Knight + all DLC) however has been out around 4 years (came out in 2018).

Ya, Arkham Collection is the one. I checked Wikipedia and it showed 2019, but that seems close enough to 4 yrs.

I had a gut feeling it was going to be a Partner Showcase direct.

@Rambler I wouldn't blame you! I just checked again, and yep, it's fixed itself overtime. Turned up the brightness all the way and it's gone. Thank goodness, now I don't have to have my Switch repaired after all!

As for that Direct Mini, yeah...I'm a bit disappointed that it's gonna be a partner showcase. I was kind of hoping for them to announce wave 2 of the Mario Kart DLC tracks, but it looks like it's gonna be exclusively third-party stuff. Maybe next time.

Also some saying Nier Automata. Two different leakers I'm not familiar with, one of which also says Persona 3, 4 AND 5.

But, we shall see. At the very least, I can use this as a bellwether to test their credibility.
