Some info on Cruis’n Blast since I’m sure many Nintendo fans don’t know what the Cruis’n series is, it’s legacy as an arcade racer (literally- this game has been Arcade exclusive since 2017) or it’s storied history birthed on Nintendo 64. This game coming to Switch is mega news. Talk about a return to the glory days of N64 and GameCube/GBA. With Advance Wars, WarioWare, 2D Metroid, Tony Hawk, Cruis’n Blast, Mario Party with N64 boards, Mario Golf… it feels like it’s 2005. But in some weird dimension where Nintendo was actually in beast mode.
About Cruis’n Blast
▪ Cruis’n Blast was developed and released for the arcade by Raw Thrills in 2017 as the fourth installment in the iconic, beloved Cruis’n™ racing series, originally created by legendary game designer and Raw Thrills CEO Eugene Jarvis. Cruis’n Blast was preceded in the arcade and on Nintendo 64 by Cruis’n USA™ (1994), Cruis’n World™ (1996) and Cruis’n Exotica™ (1999).
▪ Cruis’n Blast for Nintendo Switch features a total of 29 thrilling tracks, including all five fan favorite tracks from the arcade version of the game (Death Valley, London, Madagascar, Rio deJaneiro and Singapore), as well as 23 upgradeable vehicles – from licensed supercars to unicorns. The game supports up to four players on the same console or separate consoles via local play.
▪ Cruis’n Blast will be released on Nintendo Switch in Fall 2021, with a specific date to be announced soon.
Also, found a nice infographic for the next half year spread. Good diversity of genres- little something for everyone.
I've never played Cruis'n before but it looks wonderfully insane, I'm looking forward to it. The rest of this year looks amazing from that infographic, especially when you consider the effect of the pandemic on Nintendo's schedules.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
And ya, MH Stories 2 is definitely going under the radar. I get the game has been shown several times before but this is the first real look under the hood, and the gameplay is legitimately astonishing. It looks really good. Equally impressive as Rise, and that's saying something.
Agreed, I am absolutely sold on it by now. It is just a shame it is coming at the same time as YS IX (2 days apart). Not sure yet which I will start first...
Sorry for the non Switch question but does anyone know if you have to pay full price to preorder games in store at Best Buy? I know you do online but I don’t have the dosh today to cover all the E3 orders I want. Trying to stop using amazon.

@BruceCM Thanks I will give em a call when they open. It’s super early yet so I was being impatient by asking here.

The rest of the year is packed on Switch (and Switch only), and 2022 already has several games slated that look awesome. The Little Hybrid That Could is going to do me for a long while.
Well, there was supposed to be some update about it this year, @TheJGG .... September Direct will be for the other couple of Zeldas they're trying to pretend aren't coming
@TheJGG While I do think a September Direct is very likely, I don't think Bayonetta 3 would be present. Feels more fitting for Bayonetta 3 re-reveal and BotW 2 to be Nintendo's presence at the Game Awards given unless another Fighters Pass gets announced with the final character, Smash will be over by then.
I initially truly believed the Zelda collection was false, @BruceCM… that is, until I learnt that Nintendo literally denied the existence of the 3DS XL, only to reveal it two weeks later. That’s enough to convince me that these are real and that the timing is crucial to their impact.
Yeah I’m in the same boat, @Grumblevolcano. I can easily see us going another year without Bayonetta 3 in any capacity, such is the discreet nature of reveals. A September Direct is pretty much obvious at this point because of Hyrule Warriors: AOC DLC, plus the preemptive reveal of Zelda 35th Anniversary content.
Quite possible, @Balta666 .... In all honesty, Nintendo have a history of that, @TheJGG! I'm sure most of us could give you plenty of egs of them doing the same thing It's certainly possible whatever is planned has been delayed or something but the way he didn't straight up say, 'there are no more Zelda games coming ....'
@TheJGG
They REALLY seem intent on keeping the Zelda focus 100% with Skyward Sword HD for the time being. I'm with you in thinking that a Zelda Collection is probably still real, but we're not gonna hear about it until SS HD is in the rearview mirror by a couple months.
The Switch lineup for the rest of 2021 really is packed, but I do wonder if they're not holding something close to their chest for a big game for the holidays. I guess right now that mantle falls to the Pokemon remakes; they will sell huge and probably be just fine for lots of people until 2022, but I think there's room in November/December for one more heavy hitter... maybe a Zelda Collection, especially if they've made any actual tweaks to Ocarina <wink wink>? lol
(I know I left out Advance Wars and that fan base is very passionate, but I don't really view that as insanely big release.)
