@JaxonH i unsure if Bayonetta 3 is releasing next year, the game maybe be cancelled or be one of Switch sucessor launch games, Metroid Prime 4 is still too soon to show something about the game, summer/late 2022, maybe Nintendo will show something about the game, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 might release on march 2022 for Switch 5th anniversary.
@link3710 I just mean it should be out by sometime next yeat.
@kkslider5552000 Well, BotW2 is re-using at least some aspects of BotW's map, will probably be re-using a lot of the same assets, probably the same physics engine, etc. If we assume BotW 2 was in development since before their announcement of it in late 2018 (safe bet, I think, considering there was actual footage to show), and assuming it releases in Holiday 2022, it'll have been in development for more than four years. BotW took five years to make, whereas this is a sequel that will likely be utilizing a lot of the same models, environments, physics, etc. as BotW.
Even factoring in covid, it should be ready for action by holiday 2022.
@TheJGG I'd love to see a Final Fantasy collection of some sort. Or an HD-2D remake of one of the older games, but I don't think that's likely with DQIII and Triangle Strategy both filling that niche.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Ralizah I'd expect FF HD-2D is something they have in mind if DQ III does well. So not soon, but probably going to happen eventually.
I'm starting to reconsider my stance on Rabbids in Smash. With a second Mario+Rabbids game confirmed and the last two characters being rather serious, now would be the perfect time for that. I'd still prefer Rayman or The Prince or Sam Fisher, but I could be happy to get Rabbids. I'd want to see a Bowser Jr. Style 8 in one though, which should be easy enough at this point.
It’s crazy how my opinion on the Rabbids did a complete 180 after Kingdom Battle. I used to despise them. They were annoying, not funny, and I can’t think of a single redeeming quality I saw in them at the time.
But Mario Rabbids changed that. Completely. They were really toned down in that game and made a lot more relatable, humorous and likeable. I’m not sure if I would enjoy them in a game of their own, but they feel like they mesh perfectly with Mario and Co. it doesn’t even feel strange anymore. Not only that, but it feels right. .

@JaxonH 0 definitely. I think the pairing works well. It helps that they cut down on the Rabbids running around and going "bwah".
I hope they increase the RPG trappings in the sequel. Nothing big, but maybe more NPCs and towns. Basically things to increase the amount of dialogue and something to give the player a break from standard gameplay. Privately, the first game kind of reminds me of Super Mario RPG and I hope it moves more in that direction (even if the idea is unrealistic).

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
I'd be a bit disappointed if the Rabbids got into Smash instead of Rayman since he's a more iconic character and Rabbids is a spin-off from his series, but I wouldn't be entirely opposed to it. I love weird characters in Smash and the Rabbids definitely fit that bill.
That reminds me, did anyone ever work out why Rayman appears to be in the background of Ultimate's Battlefield stage? It might have just been a coincidence and it's not meant to look like him, but it really does. Context in case anyone missed it: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/05/random_frozen_rayma...
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@Losermagnet
Yea, a bit deeper on the RPG stuff would be awesome. Nothing crazy, nowhere near FE (and that's still considered fairly light by a lot of strat RPG peeps), but like you said: some more towns, more dialogue... I think maybe just a tad more choice and stat building would be great.
@Losermagnet
It does. It's not a traditional RPG- it's SRPG, but it feels very similar. It's an RPG starting Mario made by a major 3rd party, and it's really good.
I'd be OK with leaning a little more heavily into the RPG side. Not sure that's what they'll do, but ya.
@Grumblevolcano
I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who likes Rabbids games other than Kingdom Battle.

@FragRed Look at the wording more carefully, it's players not sales. It's like when companies talk about units shipped or Game Pass subscribers rather than Xbox sales.
