@NeonPizza I mean, please do not just talk about the good, no need to dodge issues you got with the consoles. Please don't stop criticism whenever you can, as long as it is valid and can be discussed on.

@NeonPizza You know, there's almost never any reason for me to play any AAA game on my PS4 since my PC can run all of them much more smoothly, but I don't make a habit of going onto Playstation forums and saying that there's no reason to play the PS4 versions of these games.

Pointing out flaws in Switch games is fine. Hollow Knight and Mega Man running at a lower resolution on less powerful portable hardware isn't a flaw, any more than The Witcher 3 running at 30fps on PS4 is a flaw. Unless we're going with the idea that all games are inherently flawed if they're not all running at 4k60 with raytracing settings set to max, in which case, even most PS5 versions of games are flawed compared to the experiences you'd get on the most powerful PCs.

Anyway, if differences in resolution are such a big deal to you, then I recommend building that dream computer, stat. You'll enjoy your games a lot more.

@NeonPizza I think the issue is you're mainly nitpicking graphics which... Quite frankly is a 'yes, duh, the Switch is weaker and graphics aren't quite as shiny" sort of topic. So there's no discussion to be had. Especially since, quite frankly, Hollow Knight and MM11 look fantastic given the constraints of the hardware, it's not like they're disasters like some games. They're not even recent titles. So there's really no positive engagement that can be made with a post like that.

Like what's someone going to say. "Yes! Developers are lazy, Switch games should all be 4k output with antialiasing!"?

I assume everyone will be on "pins and needles" waiting for the alleged Switch Pro announcement today?

How disappointed would you be if it doesn't happen?

@Magician I wouldn't be disappointed.

I'd be sitting back with a nice ice cold drink laughing myself through the heatwave.

More so if by E3 the thing still doesn't publicly exist and Bloomberg has to try again for the next three months.

I mean really, from the initial 2016 reveal of this thing there has been people saying a revision is coming. That's before we even had a release date.

I think most people will be disappointed as they are expecting a "New" Switch supporting 4K rez 60FPS that can cook and teleport you around the world, but instead they will get the current Switch with OLED screen and smaller bezels Ohhh and new colors ofc! The most important detail of all!

@Magician I will be hype beyond belief when Nintendo announces / reveals anything! A game. A console. Whatever. Unconcerned if something doesn't happen that fits in line with a bloke on Twitter's musings. I enjoy reading rumours, but I don't hang on what they say (if you get me.) and certainly wouldn't get hostile or anything lol.

Yeah I think if this new Switch exists it's not going to be as huge an upgrade as people have led themselves to believe. I don't really care about it either way though so it's a win-win situation for me: if it does get announced then people will finally stop going on about the rumours, and if it doesn't then it'll be funny to see that the leaks that people were so adamant were true actually turned out to be wrong.

Nope you will get only hallucinations with this model and you will like it Next model though will be with Star Wars style holograms!

@Magician Disappointed because there wouldn't a distraction that'll make the Series X easier to buy, at least I think the Switch revision would do that.

No, what'll happen if it gets announced is people will spend a long time complaining if it wasn't as good as they hoped, @Dogorilla .... Then, they'll get convinced another upgrade is happening & speculate about that for years

@BruceCM Ah yeah, you're right... There'll probably be some new rumour about the 4K Nintendo Super Xbox which is a collaboration with Microsoft and has Rare Replay built into every unit

Yeah, whatever happens, there'll still be plenty of 'so, when's the actual successor coming', too, @GrailUK .... It's one of the things you do get used to, at least! Anyone thinking that whatever gets announced soon will stop that sort of stuff really needs to understand it'll soon resume again
Even if Nintendo did manage to make a pocket sized switch that'd unfold to play on it's own screen at full HD & connected to a TV for 4k output, you'd still get people wondering what was next & debating the likelihood of various possibilities

@Magician i tired and anoyed of this contant Switch Pro rumors, since the launch of Switch i hearing that Nintendo is planing to release a 4K revision of Switch, this is getting ridiculous and anoying, is Wii HD all over again.

@Slowdive how this gonna affect future Nintendo games like Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2/Splatoon 3? can't Nintendo just share a review code of one it games for preview/review? well @Jump DCsuperheroes i don't think Nintendo consider is a major release, this game seen more like a filler for june, the major release for june is Game Builder Garage and Mario Golf Super Rush.

@Slowdive They are probably just talking about DC Super Girl Teens (or whatever it's called) which is out tomorrow but I've not seen reviews for it yet. All their other releases like Paper Mario, Hyrule Warriors and just recently Mario Golf I've seen previews and reviews pop up in advance.

So, how many years after a console release does Nintendo start "Nintendo Selects" price drops?
