@JaxonH haha yea I'm with you. It got so hard for me to play anything thats not on switch that I decided to sell my ps4 earlier this year. And its for the exact reason you mention, being tethered to a tv. I'm about 50/50 at this point(dock and handheld) so that 50% in handheld really helps me play games in a quick amount of time which in turn, allows me to play more games overall. I'm deliberately holding off on the witcher until after LM3 so I can devote all my time to it. I'm just praying i catch on and don't get overwhelmed or disappointed like I did in...wait for it.... dark souls. I was really excited for that but it was so hard to play, and I had no clue what i was doing that it became a waste ( for me). I don't mind huge, engrossing games as long as they're easy to pick up, understand, and never seem like it's just filler to keep you busy. I dont think TW3 will be like that though from what i read. This will be my first exposure to the series. And im hoping to get completely sucked in. Again, it'll be my first(major) switch purchase after LM3 and I'm looking forward to it. Just hope I can catch on.
Oh and im going physical for sure. I have tons of eshop credit but i wont miss the 32gb cart and goodies.
@Ralizah Totally forgot about Shantae. Definitely want that one.
@link3710 Yeah aside from Luigi's Mansion 3 and Shantae and the Seven Sirens, I can basically focus on my backlog for the next few months until FFVIIR hits. Honestly though, Jedi Academy and Doom 64 are the only Switch releases for Q1 I plan on picking up as of right now (I'm assuming Panzer Dragoon Remake won't release until later).
Will definitely look at grabbing some of these Switch re-releases though (Monkey Ball, Assassin's Creed, Call of Jaurez).
@HobbitGamer I am with you on this. I just can't get into Skyrim, but I've played New Vegas several times and would absolutely buy and play it again on Switch. FO3 too. Portable New Vegas? Sign me up!

@JaxonH Just invest in a saddle bag and the "strong back" perk and put equipment you're not actively using but don't want to get rid of in the item boxes. I have a weight limit of 150 atm and I loot literally everything that's not bolted down. Geralt must look like a madman in my game, digging through the drawers and boxes in the homes of random peasants as he frantically stuffs candelabras, pieces of meat, and dolls into his sack.
@Heavyarms55 Picking up The Outer Worlds if it's a good port, I take it?
I'd personally love an arkham collection. I only beat asylum from what I remember. I know I played a ton of city and even some knight but never finished them.
@HobbitGamer Absolutely agreed. A port of the Mass Effect Trilogy is the one and only thing left EA could do that would make me give them money. Outer Worlds looks interesting too. Do we have a Switch release date, or even release window for it yet?

I'm definitely getting Outer Worlds via my One, that's the kind of game I want to be as immersed in as possible, but assuming the Switch version holds its own, I'd love to get that version for a second run through
"NSO is too expensive! We used to get all this for free!"
Meanwhile Bethesda just dropped a 100 dollar a year subscription for Fallout 76. But hey, those private servers, am I right? XD
The private servers aren't even private. And the unlimited item storage deletes your items instead. Seriously, what's wrong with Bethesda? Everything they release is so utterly broken, nothing works, every single time. Even their patches sometimes cause more bugs than they fix. The game is still riddled with bugs that have been in the game since launch, but instead of fixing those first, they prioritise a $100 sub.
Ubisoft has delayed Gods & Monsters to the next fiscal year (April 2020 - March 2021). Saw that coming considering we haven't seen anything of it.
Not Switch related, but Rainbow Six Quarantine and Watch Dogs Legion were also delayed. Naughty Dog also pushed The Last of Us Part II to May 29th.
As of right now, Luigi's Mansion 3 is now the only new release I'm looking forward to until FFVIIR hits in March. My wallet is happy about that lol
TBF, I'm actually fine with the delays. With Death Stranding, Pokemon and Luigi's Mansion coming soon. And FF7R and Cyberpunk next year, I'm all set. Cyberpunk will probably be enough for the first half of 2020. TLOU2 after that, followed by Ghost of Tsushima, and whatever Nintendo does next year (Pikmin 4 please?).
@Heavyarms55 I’m not sure of a release lock down for Outer Worlds, but I want to say it’s a quarter behind the others.
I dumped so many runs through all three ME games, got the special editions of 2 & 3, was a monster in multiplayer. That’s one of my top five franchises of video games.

Mass Effect is one of the largest and best Western IPs in gaming. Too bad it's in the hands of the worst company for it's target audience. Honestly, the only big western IPs I still want on Switch are that and Tomb Raider (yes I count it as western still, despite the ownership, and no, B-K doesn't count as big these days).
Which all release this Tuesday. That’s a nice little slice of hybrid gaming additions. Mostly Monkey Ball and Atelier Ryza for my top picks (though I’m grabbing all of them- can’t pass up adding to the Switch library).
@Ralizah
I don’t have an issue with weight in Witcher 3. I haven’t even needed to use the item box, though I have used it to tuck a few weapons and things that are locked to level 14 so I don’t accidentally sell them. I take everything I see and haven’t really hit the limit yet. Aside from once early game. My issue with weight was in Skyrim.

@EvilLucario Yeah with Obsidian being a part of Xbox Game Studios, The Outer Worlds continues Microsoft's promise of all Xbox Game Studios titles being available at launch on Xbox Game Pass.
Gamepass is a great deal for people who don’t mind not owning and just want to play, and who don’t mind playing tv only. My brother is playing right now via Gamepass. Made his usual sales pitch spiel about how I should get Gamepass to play it. Told him the same thing I tell him every time- I’ll wait for the Switch version 😁
Just updated my X1X, and.... it feels just as slow and clunky with delay as it did before. PS4 used to be snappy but has accrued a fair bit of delay over the years as the OS bloats, but one thing I will say is it’s way faster than X1 still. For all the faults of a slim OS, one thing I love about Switch is how instantaneous everything is. Especially the screenshots. One thing that really bugs me on other consoles is when you hit the screenshot button (share button or X Home Button) there’s like a 1-2 second delay before the notification pops up. I hate that. It’s why I just don’t bother taking screenshots on other consoles. Or videos.
Trying to buy MGS Peacewalker digitally on the store and dear goodness, it’s like watching paint dry getting through checkout.
Once they introduced Games With Gold, I ended up only buying about 3 games a year for 360. When I finally got an X1, I only bought Andromeda and Fallout 4 over the two years I had it.
I was clearly not their ideal consumer 😂
