I have Pillars of Eternity for PC, but I've never been able to sit down and enjoy it. Maybe having it on the Switch and being able to play handheld will work.
Oh neat. I kinda ignored the game coverage previously since it hadn't been announced for Switch. Guess I'll go take a look now. Nice to see Obsidian still making new stuff!

I am beyond hyped for this. If I was not at work right now I'd be screaming. (Plus now I can play it while I wait for the Epic store exclusive rights to expire, WOOT) Ok, Bethesda, Oblivion and Fallout please! I love the switch so much. Especially now that I'm back to working multiple jobs...best system ever.
And with it releasing a little later that means I don't have to break my embargo. (No new games beyond my two existing preorders till Nov.)

@BlueBlur101 If Bethesda doesn't have games ready for PS5/Xbox Scarlett launch window, I could see them doing a PS4/XB1/Switch port of Fallout 3 and/or New Vegas. After all, both Sony and Microsoft have confirmed that their next gen consoles have backwards compatibility with current gen games.
@redd214 Good shout! Just preordered one. Thanks a bunch.
@Ryu_Niiyama Yeah, if this is properly optimized, this this will be a GREAT addition to the library, I think. I was already looking forward to the game to begin with.
They kinda won me back with the Switch port. The Epic exclusivity had soured me a bit on this game, as I don't particularly want to play it on a normal home console, but I'd opt for a Switch port anyway.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Grumblevolcano I wouldn't count on it. Bethesda Game Studios never acknowledge their legacy content existing on home consoles. Most of their older titles are forever locked to strictly PC with the exception of Morrowind and Oblivion being Xbox One backwards compatible. I wouldn't count on them ever acknowledging Fallout 3 or New Vegas ever in the near future. Plus it seems BGS is now entirely preoccupied with Starfield, which at the moment is in production and partially playable, and the pre-production stuff on TES VI. I wouldn't expect to hear anything else about preceding titles from them unless it's Fallout 76 related
Plus there is a good chance Starfield could show up at E3 2020 after Sony and Microsoft officially unveil the PlayStation 5 and Project Scarlett. Bethesda's probably waiting on them to be honest. They just announced those games last year to alleviate any potential concerns that they were distancing themselves from purely single-player titles after Fallout 76.

I actually woke up to The Outer Worlds news. I've been following this game a lot since The Game Awards last year, as it basically looks like Fallout in space (I mean go figure Obsidian's developing it). I've still got my preorder locked in for the PC version from the Microsoft Store since there's no way in hell I'm making an Epic account just to play it off of their store. However, I am happy for those who are interested in picking up the Switch version. I'm holding off buying it until I see what the Switch version looks like, as the footage shown during that developer interview seemed to be from another platform or the PC build of the game. Obsidian can pull this off, the game looks amazing enough.
Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if out of the blue Cyberpunk 2077 gets announced for Switch

@redd214 Jeez, I go there a couple hours later and they're already gone. Well that's fine, I didn't really need a Switch Lite anyways...
For all of you who are comparing the Outer Worlds to Fallout, as someone who's only played the Elder Scrolls series what's the difference?
The recent Fallout games are open world. While, The Outer Worlds appears to be a more linear experience. Player agency still appears to be the focus though; you choose how you explore the world and progress through the story. But The Outer Worlds is clearly a budget game compared to Fallout 3 or Fallout 4. In that sense, The Outer Worlds probably compares more favorably to Dishonored than Fallout in its freedom of exploration and player choice.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@BlueBlur101 Still rocking win 7 for at least another two years. win 10 is a little more nosy than I like. I am planning on upgrading my rig next year anyhoo. I'll deal with it then. In the meantime... Switch!!!!
