@Ralizah I imagine it was designed around the Japanese apartment which is exactly 1.5 rooms large. Everyone is in the TV room unless they're sleeping.

Where are we supposed to be watching this event in 5 minutes? All I have is the Japanese link.

@Ralizah I could play with my Wii U gamepad whilst sat on the downstairs toilet in my house, and that's a small hallway between my lounge and the toilet.

I could also use it in my bed, as the Wii U is in the room directly below.

On a separate topic, been meaning to mention this since I first saw them. Remember when Hori released these PlayStation controllers that resemble joy-con...

Untitled

...well it had me wondering how long it will be before we see dual thumbsticks on a single joy-con... Switch 2?

I'm not entirely sure what I just watched, but I think I like it.

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music

@NEStalgia Well, the Western commitment to polishing every aesthetic aspect of a production and saddling it with mediocre gameplay is the big reason why I'll likely continue to ignore the Western AAA industry almost entirely. Thankfully, the Japanese and indies are still making games I actually want to play.

Although I don't think good gameplay and immersion in a production are mutually exclusive things. I could point to something like Resident Evil 7 as an example... ESPECIALLY in VR.

@gcunit Those don't look like joycon, though. They look like horrible Playstation versions of Nintendo's already horrible Classic Controllers for the Wii.

The frick was that! It looks aimed at really little kids, which is kind of a shame as that idea is cool.

That would definitely have been amazing as a kid, gotta love Nintendo for making something like that. Also... VR predictions turned out to not be completely wrong? Sort of? In a very bizarre way? Regardless, another way for people to enjoy the Switch is always a good thing.

That Labo trailer looks amazing, I just hope it's not just some novelty that has zero in-depth application.

Also, is Labo not a bit too like a colloquialism for labia?

That's....damn I want that and I'm 22.

You can be a giant robot and your movements are in the game!!!!

So the IR Camera looks for reflective tape that controls the game. So these little cardboard creations use the IR Cameras and Gyroscopes to take what you do with the cardboard, be it actual realistic motions or key presses....and the game responds.

Man I'm 5 again.

Imagine playing a racing game with one joy con as your steering wheel and the other as your accelerator...

If that properly works then that's genius.

Could use the same device to provide analog trigger support for Gamecube VC.
