@Octane Temporarily. Had to come bask in the good news being a business geek and all that. Plus I got some good news of my own...kind of depending on how you look at it.
The words about support from Take Two, Activision and EA have me curious. Is that more Skylanders, FIFA and NBA? EA is probably going to shut up and put up now, Activision notably have said nothing since Skylanders on launch day, and Take Two....I mean....Grand Theft Auto anyone?
That's the thing. I fully expect NBA and FIFA at this point, they'd be insane not to. It's just...what else...
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
At the same time....Vicarious Visions worked on Crash (As they have in the past on GBA actually) and helped with Destiny 2. Toys For Bob helped with Crash.
So I assume there will be a title this year from TFB? Maybe?

NBA and FIFA are dead certs. Madden for sure also. GTA seems so logical but who knows. It may never come
I don't see EA porting anything outside of sports titles unfortunately
Activision is COD or Crash once it becomes multi platform
After using the wii u pro controller after how many months, I have to say it is soooooooooo much sleeker and more comfortable than the switch pro controller. I really wish they could just update the Wii U version with motion controls and NFC because it is a gorgeous piece of hardware. Especially compared to the cheap feeling Switch version
@Operative2-0 I'm the other way round. The Wii U Pro feels cheap compared to the Switch Pro. The Wii U Pro feels hollow and is considerably lighter. The Switch Pro feels sturdy and well built and I love how the big buttons feel. The analogue sticks are much better too. Shame about the D-pad though.
@Octane Oh hush Mr Pushsquare! Remember where you are and don't be a party pooper
Edit- PS4 had like 3 months of market domination before Switch, so it's probably referring to just the first 10 months like for like. (Maybe - I have no idea ^^)
General question here. I've been taking my Switch into work, and leaving it in its official case while in standby mode. By the end of the day, however, it is warm and the battery has run down about 80%. It has literally never left its case, and had a full charge before leaving the house. Anyone else had this issue? Any idea what's causing it?
So far, the only way I've found to get around this is to turn the Switch off fully, but that means I lose that pick-up-and-play factor, carrying on exactly where I left off. Like I say, I don't know what's causing it. I might try putting it in airplane mode, and seeing if that makes a difference.

They don't even need to add motion controls and NFC. I just wish they would let me use my existing Wii U Pro Controller on the Switch, because I can not justify spending 70 flipping dollars on another controller. The prices are absolutely outrageous.
One thing that really ticks me off about the Switch is how Nintendo has done practically nothing to smooth over those of us who actually supported them during the Wii U years.
@Krull Hmm...whenever I leave my Switch in stand-by mode (in my case) the battery level seems to barely drop at all - and no over-heating (or anything) either. I've even left it in my case for over a week before (with a suspended game) and the battery didn't drop by more than 10% in all that time. Can't think why yours would be so drastically different...
You could perhaps try a full shut down (hold down the power button for 12 seconds) to see if that can perhaps solve the issue? (sometimes, if the issue is software related, a full shutdown can clear the problem) ..can't promise it'll work, but could be worth a try?

Unless its docked I believe it slowly loses battery life? I could be wrong though..
I honestly prefer the Switch pro controller much more than the Wii U pro controller, the only real advantage the Wii U pro controller has is it's much cheaper.
Nah, the wii u pro controller even just looks better. I like the Switch versions see through casing, but not when it has a weird solid color handle set. In all honesty, it looks like a prototype model.
Not to mention the plastic itself feels too light and cheap in my hands. That's also a problem with the wii u version, but at least it looked very sleek.
Not to mention the ridiculously huge buttons on the switch version. They aren't actively uncomfortable, but the smaller and more spaced out buttons on the wii u are something I miss.
Oh and the non crappy D-Pad.
Even the sticks feel and look worse off. My switch pro controller sticks have this ashy white residue where they bump against the rim of the joystick.
Oh, and personal preference really, but the stick placement felt better when they were symmetrical
@Harmonie I don’t think they need to do any smoothing whatsoever. It would have been nice, but I don’t think it’s something realistic to expect.
Luckily, not too many of us supported the Wii U because rewarding a bad idea wouldn’t get them to change their ways in terms of marketing etc and be better overall. The Nintendo we have now is so drastically better then beforehand, that I’ll gladly pay some of the extra costs that come with it.
About your wish, I do remember the president of Nintendo hinting they might support some the previous controllers in the future. But more importantly, don’t you like the joycons?

Well, here's the thing: I don't see the Switch as a particularly strong console, either. It is just another limited system full of strange decisions from Nintendo. Some things are good like being able to go fully portable, other things are a step back, like going back to Friend Codes. And now we're going to have to pay for the online system. It's just... not good.
So, actually, I was fine with the Wii U. BUT I'm not too happy that Nintendo is getting 'rewarded' for the bad decisions they've made with the Switch. The Wii U actually fixed a lot of the issues I had with the Wii. It was a much better system than the Wii. Not perfect, but I never even once remotely regretted my decision to get the Wii U. But I do feel kind of thrown under the bus for supporting Nintendo, now.
I'm just sad that I bought Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U and all of the DLC, but now everyone's on the same darn game on the Switch, but I'd have to spend a full $60 to be able to play it on the Switch with them. I don't have that kind of money. I already bought the game, I already supported Nintendo. A Mario Kart 8 port should have never costed $60. If it did, Nintendo could have seen those of us who did purchase it on the Wii U and go "Hey, these consumers supported us, lets give them a discount on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe if they wish to support us again". That's not asking for a lot.
Maybe it's not realistic, I don't know.. But Nintendo did do a whole Ambassador's Program for those of us who purchased the 3DS early, and gave us some nifty VC games, including some GBA games which had not been released on VC ever - that was a pretty big deal. I don't understand why it's any different this time?
And, no, I don't really like the Joycons. I hate weird non-traditional controller things like that. I always hated that on the Wii, and on the Wii U I always used the Pro Controller (thankfully the Wii U was a much better made console than the Wii, so we could actually use the Pro Controller for pretty much any game). I just want regular controllers... and I don't want to have to spend $70 to get one. If Nintendo is going to add support for the Wii U Pro Controller they better get on it soon.
