@DarthNocturnal Yeah, the weapon swap is a problem I wish they would change. Unless you are playing in a party apparently.
I actually don't mind the map rotation so much. I just wish they would put a third map in it each time. I prefer this way over people voting for the same three maps over and over in CoD; however, I do understand the complaint of how splatoon does it.
@rallydefault Yes, that $500 Xbox One: Now with Stable Framerates and the for kays vs the $250 edition is seriously going to impact Switch sales.....
Even the XBox fanbase isn't terribly hyped about the 1X let alone the non-fanbase. It's VERY nice hardware, I quite like what I saw, but as far as a market impact, it's kind of a rich boy's toy. That's why they presented it along with the newest Porche... Most consumers will shrug and buy a PS4 like before
Supply limitations are the bigger issue, but selling out faster than you can make them is a problem no company ever didn't want.
I wonder why there is so few(little) demo's for Switch games, i have only Mario Kart 8 Deluxe mainly because i don't want to buy games only for reviews and videos.
@Eagle9 It's the Nintendo way. Demos have always been rather rare on Nintendo systems, they usually do it in other ways like the testfire/testpunch and exclusive demos for Club Nintendo members while it existed.
3D platformers are by nature harder with the third dimension, with camera control, and with the eye's inability to perceive depth (unless you're playing SM3DL)...
See? See? 3D is a useful feature that shouldn't have been left behind!
Yes, I'm a touch bitter.
I know, right? It's a shame SM3DL was such an easy game. The 3D really helps with 3D platforming, it would have been great to have a proper challenge with it.
@Eagle9 That's an easy one, the purpose of the testfire/testpunch was to make sure the servers work properly when the game comes out and the easiest way of doing that is by limiting the amount of time people can play in it. People getting to try out the game is a side bonus, not the main objective.
@BigBadJohn I bet they have been holding some back for this weekend. Not sure that's the best idea but they will want to have as many as possible for this launch especially in Japan.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Spoony_Tech I half expected the bundle to include a Splatoon Pro controller so they could max the profit. From the scenes I've seen in Japan it seems like a missed opportunity. Amazing how quickly this IP has become a massive system seller. I love ARMS but it just doesn't have the same mass appeal,
@NEStalgia
Hrm... you're a bit too cocky for my liking on this one, sir. I think you severely underestimate the One X, and you're way off in your discussion of its price.
Yes, it's 500 bucks, but let's be honest: raise your hand if you ended up spending around 500 for the Switch's launch when it boils down to hardware (300), a game or two (40-60 a pop most likely), an SD card (varied wildly, but could be rather expensive, around 100), and maybe even a pro controller (60). The One X you can buy literally standalone as it uses all previous Xbox One games. You'll even get an extra "free" controller out of the deal.
I wouldn't be too sure about the One X flopping. For those of us with 4k and have made use of it through Blu-Rays, Netflix, etc., we know there can be a BIG, really cool difference when viewing media. I think some people around here stick their nose up at something they have no knowledge of. (I have a 4k TV and honestly, I'm pretty surprised at how much of a difference I notice.)
@rallydefault Your right I spent over £500 for my Switch on launch. Also from what Ive seen of the Xbox One X it looks fantastic but the standalone argument only works if you already an Xbox One owner and that 500 bucks is essentially your cost to upgrade. Pretty steep for an upscale in graphics. If you dont have an Xbox your going to have similar extra costs. I have a 4K TV and am very happy with it but then I have streaming devices and a 4K Bluray to to take advantage for media. Personally for me to stump up the 500 plus another 150 on games and a second controller it would have to offer new experiences I cant get anywhere else. This generation is shaping up to be very interesting.
@rallydefault Backwards compatibility could be very big in this case, not only is there Xbox One games but also a constantly increasing selection of Xbox 360 and Xbox games (Xbox games starts in the fall). Where is VC for Switch? Well nonexistent at the moment more than likely due to the existence of retro boxes (NES and SNES Mini) that get scalped for hundreds of dollars.
I mean, try building a PC that delivers 4K for €500. Won't happen. I think the price is fair for Xbox One X. I only wonder how big the market foe 4K truly is. PS4 Pro makes up 25% of the PS4 sales (at €400), I doubt the Xbox One X will do much better than that.
