I think he's talk more about the tech used to drive the price of the controllers and system up. Take the tech out and maybe they could offer the system for 250$ instead of 300$. Plus the controllers would be 20$ cheaper maybe more.
However I like it just like I like my 3d. I've always liked what Nintendo does over the other 2. Give me a different playing experience. I love the rumble on Deluxe as it feels far more natural.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I, too, really like HD Rumble - the only slight criticism I have of it is that there isn't currently a way to adjust the 'force' of the rumble (not on a system level at least, or in any of the games that I have) ..the rumble is somewhat dampened when the Joy-Con are being used with the Grip/Wheel accessories - so it'd be nice to just dial them up a little bit to manually counter that dampening
Love HD Rumble. If nothing else, it adds to the immersion. Blaster Master Zero, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Shantae Half-Genie Hero, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe among others all make great use of it.
I actually played MK8 on Wii U a couple times since getting MK8D and the lack of HD Rumble was noticeable.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Sometimes the best ideas are the ones nobody asked for.
I love the HD Rumble, especially in ARMS. It's hard to describe exactly how it feels but it makes the games so much more immersive. Even Puyo Puyo Tetris feels better with it turned on. I'm considering buying Tumbleseed just so I can feel how the HD Rumble is.
@Grumblevolcano I'd say a general direct makes sense. There are a lot of unknown dates to announce plus what is happening 2018? There are 3 games we know of (Kirby, Yoshi and Fire Emblems) but that's it. It maybe too early to announce the full lineup but I hope they give us details for the first half of the year.

Remember Reggie says there are still unannounced games for this year.My guess is there'll be a smaller 1st party Eshop game and possibly a Wii U port.Or MP Trilogy HD perhaps?Perfect game to keep the non-3DS owning Metroid fans happy and help build hype for MP4 next year (I know I know but I have a feeling it will).
@Operative2-0 It would be superb.I bought the trilogy on Wii U but never actually played it.It's been 14 years or so since I played the original and maybe around 9 years since I played Corruption.Revisting them in HD with motion controls would be incredible, they'd feel like new games to me again, the first 2 at least.
HD Rumble, I've found, is something that I don't really notice when I play, but I definitely notice when it's gone. It was a very weird experience playing Fast RMX with the 8bitdo SNES controller. And not because it controlled poorly: thanks to button remapping, it controlled fine. But something was just... off. And it was the lack of HD Rumble. I can't even say the feature's absence was a bad thing, but I definitely noticed when it was gone.

If you google a similar sort of component it's ~$7US for a single one. Retail. But then you have to take into account the fact that they didn't need a traditional rumble motor. I very much doubt it would have added $20us+ to the cost. More like <$10
And it should also be noted that HD rumble isn't the only feature of this component. It's also way more compact. They use the same thing in smartphones for that reason.
Eiji Aonuma reflects on Zelda: Breath of the Wild We sat down with Nintendo's Eiji Aonuma in Paris to talk about the past, present and future of The Legend of Zelda.
Here's a bit of insight into just what it takes to in terms of sales for a game to chart in the UK. Also, the best selling games in June and Switch's market share.
"you could sell under 5,000 units to break the Top 50 this week, and you only needed a little more than 21,000 copies sold to reach the Top Ten........PS4 accounted for over 55% of the games sold last month, Xbox One is at No.2 with 28.4%, while Switch - which has a significantly smaller install base - is at No.3 with 5.7%."
Here is the UKIE/GfK Top 20 for June:
May June
New 1 Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
New 2 Tekken 7
5 3 Grand Theft Auto V
12 4 Horizon: Zero Dawn
9 5 Overwatch
New 6 Dirt 4
1 7 Injustice 2
5 8 FIFA 17
New 9 Wipeout: Omega Collection
7 10 Rocket League
3 11 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
15 12 Forza Horizon 3
6 13 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands
11 14 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
New 15 Arms
19 16 Dishonored 2
8 17 LEGO Worlds
10 18 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
2 19 Prey
22 20 Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Siege
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Why did Horizon jump up from the twelfth place to the fourth? Did it get a price cut? Or did Crash bring in that many new PS4 owners? I've heard it's one of the best selling games of this year. Kinda n-sane for a simple remake of a game that was never that good to begin with.
