I've seen lots of switch games and accessories but as long as the switch itself has been out I've yet to see one available for purchase in the wild.

Is anybody else wowed by the textures used for these new switch games? I spent most of my time staring at mario's hair or the texture of bowser's suit. Don't get me started on yoshi... I'm going to be so broke this year.

@Ryu_Niiyama they wow me too, from a distance Nintendo games still have that cartoonish look and you think oh why cant they look realistic like the other platforms but when you actually look closely these cartoon drawings have crazy detail and texture

Didn't watch the video cause I don't want spoilers, but apparently Odyssey will have two player co-op.

Neato. Was kind of hoping for full independent Co op but that will be very fun too

Possibly more WiiU definitive editions inbound. Nintendo is talking/thinking about it at least. Anybody got a wish-list?

I'm excited for pokken, but honestly aside from sports games and fighting games I think that Nintendo has already ported their biggest hitter with mario kart.

Might as well bring over all major Wii U games. 3D World would be nice. Maybe add online multiplayer. Hyrule Warriors would win my heart, though. I'd prefer a sequel but if we got a Switch version with all the 3DS/Wii U DLC in one package I'd be happy

I don't want any more ports. I'd rather they didn't clog up the release schedule with old games and prevent new ones from coming out. If there's gonna be a drought without them, sure, bring a couple ports if you need to, but otherwise I'd rather play new games, especially since ports might make them less inclined to make the next games in certain franchises. For example, I really doubt the Switch gets Mario Kart 9. In that regard, it's basically the Wii U 2.0.

Nintendo Treehouse has been my fav thing since it began being something

its so great, so relaxing, can do it while working, the dev talk is great and gives an incredible insight no other company does.

Its easily the best thing ever, i dont even care about the e3 presentations to be honest, Nintendo Treehouse delivers and when it ends its always the worst part ever.

HW would be a good candidate because they could add all the 3ds only content. If they did a smash with all the DLC baked in (despite me buying a lot of it already) I'd be happy. Since they are looking for games that they can add to (likely cheaply so existing DLC is good) those two would work. I was hoping platinum would have something to make a bayo duology port worth it. I could see mario maker but I would want more functionality with it. If they wanted Nintendo could keep that game going forever.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Pikmin 3!!!

And... honestly... New Super Mario Bros U. That game was excellent and I want a 2D Mario on Switch.

@erv
It is still up in the air, but I wouldn't count on it. But I am importing MHXX, and I have never imported a Japanese game and played in another language before. But here's why I'm doing it...

For one, I really want a new HD Monster Hunter on Switch. It's going to be an excruciating wait for MH Worlds, and I need a quick fix in the meantime. But Generations was a pretty straightforward game. There was hardly any story whatsoever. Just pick a quest and hunt. Quests are color-coded depending on the type of quest they are (hunting, trapping, gathering), so that won't be an issue. Items have visual icons so you won't need to read the text for those either. There are pictures of the monster you are hunting for each quest as well so that's not a problem. For armor, I'm just going to go hunt the monster whose armor I want to make, and stop back at the Armory after a few hunts and check which armor pieces highlight as purchasable. And I'll just keep coming back until I have all five highlighted, then buy it.

There will also be Gaijin Hunter tutorial for people who import, to help explain how to play the game in Japanese and how to get through some menus and stuff. So that will be a huge help. Also, I have Generations on 3DS. I can refer to that game if needed for certain menus or things of that nature. Moreover, MHXX is on 3DS, and 3DS is hacked. Which means it can have a fan translation... and guess what- it does. It's not complete but it does translate all menus in the game, all items, names, weapons, etc. it just doesn't have dialogue translated yet. But even that could change with a future update. Using that as a reference for any parts of the game I have trouble with will be the perfect solution.

And really, it can't be that hard. Once you accept the quest and you're out on the hunt, it doesn't matter what language it's in beyond that. After that it's all the same. Hunt and have a blast. Plus I think it would be a good experience in case future games stay in Japan. Playing the next game will be infinitely easier having had experience doing it. So it's an investment for the future too.

Outside of Smash and Super Mario Maker, I'd have to choose Hyrule Warriors featuring all Wii U and 3DS content including all DLC. Fire Emblem Warriors isn't seeming to be the massively time consuming warriors game I was expecting based on my experience with Hyrule Warriors. Sure they could reveal more modes in the next 3 months but Coliseum mode looks very barebones compared to Adventure mode.

Aside from Mario Maker, Captain Toad, and maybe the original Splatoon, the Wii U's lineup can stay a thing of the past. One of the most mediocre lineups I've seen from Nintendo.

Bringing the original Splatoon would be pretty redundant. I see maybe Tropical Freeze later on in the Switch's life

I would LOVE to see Super Mario 3D World. It really is a stellar game.

I really hope FIFA does well. My son and I have been playing NHL 2014 and loving it. I would be day one for a Switch version! I think we could really get into FIFA as well.

I'm the opposite. Kinda. I'd rather them get the "one per system" games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros out of the way as quickly as possible. Whether it's a port or not I don't care because it's not like there has been a massive graphical leap this time around. What would a "Mario Kart 9" really add that couldn't be added with more Mario Kart 8 DLC?

And the sooner they get those games out of the way the sooner they can start working on new content. New content for a platform that already has most of the major Nintendo staples. A platform that will already have a fairly decent install base because they got Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon and Mario out in the first year.

Personally I'm more interested in HD remasters from past consoles than Wii U ports.

Metroid Prime Trilogy in particular I think would be smart. Xenoblade or Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 would be great as well

It'd be great if they did an HD remaster trilogy at some point before Prime 4(just hopefully not as practice for the dev team, delaying the game's development for months similar to Wind Waker HD). With optional pointer controls, cuz those are amazing.

The only two Wii U games that I would like to play but never got around to getting are Smash and Hyrule Warriors. Why they both seem like logical choices for a port with the DLC and a 3DS version to combine, they unfortunately don't seem likely to me with both a new Warriors game and two big fighting games coming out soon.
