@Nintenerdguy Been over this before.

For Switch you do this.

Put a HDMI cable going from Switch dock to the Elgato's HDMI In port.

Put an HDMI cable going from the Elgato's HDMI Out port to your TV.

Takr the included Micro-USB cable from the Elgato's USB Port to a USB Port on your P C/Laptop.

A HDMI Port on PCs is rarely if ever HDMI in because theres no screen on a PC to display info. Its always used to send information from the PC.

@Grumblevolcano now it should all be random, unless they do new DLCs, but i don't think they will. By the way i would not suggest Fast RMX with MK8D upon us. Shovel Knight can be better

@Rafx No worries! Yes, it has been an adjustment for all of us. After I realized what you did, now I can't wait for a power outage!

Graceful Explosion Machine is AWESOME, guys. If you even remotely enjoyed Geometry Wars or just arcade spaceship shooters in general, you'll probably like it. I love twitch-reflex games, so this is perfect. And the form factor of being able to take it on the go or play it during commercials while watching TV or something (each level takes you roughly 2ish minutes) is so satisfying.

I thought there was a ps3 version? Am I mistaken?

To which game? I'm not sure what you are referring to.

@rallydefault When I watched some gameplay, Geometry Wars was the first thing that came to mind. It looks a lot of fun but I'll save it for a May purchase. Blaster Master Zero just looked more fun.

So...guess who is also co-developing a game he just saw?

This dude. And guess where it's gonna go?

To be clear, it's not a pure twin-stick shooter like Geometry Wars, though. (I don't want to do any false advertising lol) But aside from that, yea, it's a lot like it. You have a standard blaster that can overheat if you just hang on the button, but then you have three special cannons that you can fire, each with radically different effects and situations for best usage that are bound to different face buttons. You also have a boost that can be double-tapped and recharged pretty quickly. Lastly, you can "switch" (ha!) direction of your ship instantly with the left trigger, with all other piloting movement being the left joystick, obviously.

The levels are small and they loop, so if you continue to travel to the right, you loop back on yourself from the left. The levels don't scroll or anything, just like in Geo Wars - it's entirely up to you where you want to take your ship. Enemies drop energy that recharges your weapons faster, introducing a really cool mechanic where you need to always weigh whether or not you want to risk going in close to pick up the energy or keep your distance and sacrifice weapon recharge.

A score multiplier that requires you to continue killing enemies relatively quickly makes things interesting, too. It's going to be addictive for people like me who won't stop until they get an S rank on every stage lol

I've only been playing with my pro controller, so I can't say anything about the HD Rumble, unfortunately. I did watch Nintendo Voice Chat, though, and they were saying how the HD Rumble is pretty cool with the boost. The rumble starts small and then builds like a ship taking off, apparently. And every level only takes around 2ish minutes, even when you're going slowly, so it's perfect to just pick up for some quick levels.

@Rafx The Nintendo Switch, the only home gaming console you can still play, during a power outage.

I was surprised how quickly I was able to experience this perk, and twice at that.
First when my roommate forgot to pay the electric bill, and later when lightning struck a tree over a nearby power line.

Got married.

Please can someone answer my Question? How much money is Gamestop giving for a 32GB Wii u to get a switch? I saw a up to 200 dollar credit if you trade Xbox, PS, or Wii U. How much money will I get for the Wii U to get the Switch.

Pretty sure their ad said this before taking it down:

Wii U $150
Xbox One $175
PS4 $200

They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)

I was initially disappointed when I realised it wasn't a twin stick shooter but it makes sense how they've done it given the gameplay. The multiple weapons add a lot to the gameplay especially the way you can quickly swap between them. That wouldn't have worked with the second analogue. Plus the rockets can be directed with the left stick which is good enough for me.

Its there I guess, I personally think that NVC over-sold it a bit. And HD Rumble is in the Pro Controller it's just not as powerful so it's harder to notice. But on the GamePad? I guess its there and I guess it is fairly dynamic. But I'm not sure it's the sort of thing that you'd write on the box.

Yeah the Switch couldn't handle an explosive, art styled, 6 v 6 online shooter with lots of light and particle effects..

But it can handle a 4 v 4 team based shooter where the ground is constantly being redesigned with effects and new textures and objects.

I think they are pulling the spec card just because its what we get used to hearing. I think the more pressing reason is patching across multiple systems, which I can understand is a pain.

But this is also a game that was designed, revealed and released before the Switch was a thing. ANd just like RE&, FFXV and so on, asking for this so late in development or even after release is a bit much.

Square Enix CEO’s expanded comments on Switch

This week, Nikkei published a significant interview with Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda. Matsuda had a decent amount to say about Switch and expressed significant interest in supporting it with many titles going forward.

We thought it would make sense to fully translate Matsuda’s statement, which include a couple of extra comments. His full words are as follows:

“Our developers with a strong interest in the Switch are eager to challenge themselves to find new ways for people to play games. Having more gaming platforms available is a good thing for us. I really want the Switch to succeed. We’ll be developing new titles, and we’d like to port existing titles that the Switch can support often as we can.

Nintendo creates a variety of new gameplay possibilities. I think other companies will comes up with some surprising gimmicks using the Switch’s unique capabilities. We have our own way of doing things, so we’ll be marrying the Switch’s unique features to the kinds of games we’re known for.”

We do also want to take this opportunity to clarify something about the interview. Some translations had Matsuda as saying Square Enix is prioritizing Switch over other platforms such as Xbox Scorpio. However, this was simply not said. Matsuda’s enthusiasm for Switch is clear, but no comments were made about Square Enix focusing on the system over others.
