@FGPackers Oh my god, that gave me goosebumps!

I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.

This is a spoiler, so do NOT click on the video if you don't want any spoilers!! I'm NOT joking!

So, what do you think of the blood moon? I liked Zelda's warning, and the cutscene is pretty disturbing for a Zelda game, it has a lot of MM-like feelings

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Remember when we were hyped about BotW back at E3 2014 among all those other Wii U games like Splatoon, Smash and Bayonetta 2, those were good times and I hope E3 2017 provides a Switch experience of at least that caliber.

jos

so, is there still no feed back on how the Wiiu version runs in comparison to the switch edition

jos

SomeBitTripFan

@jos: From what I've heard (I can't directly find the information), Edge Magazine said that the Wii U version runs reasonable well, but that there are some drops "into the teens" during certain weather effects. They stated that generally the frames only dropped "when it didn't matter". As for the Switch version, it apparently runs at a stable 30 FPS.

@SomeBitTripFan
thanks for that
did Nintendolife get a review copy of the wiiU version, be nice to hear some feed back from them too

@SomeBitTripFan

Gamexplain are saying there are frame drops in the Switch version too.

Fun non-spoilerish fact:

There's no loading when you go into houses and buildings. I won't post the video where I got this from because it contains a lot of spoiler stuff.

^That's kind of amazing. How is this game running relatively smooth at all?

@Dezzy That's brilliant.All these little tidbits are increasing my hype through the roof.

I will say,I'll be slightly disappointed if there is not a new version of the house theme,love that tune.I expect there wont be though,doesn't seem like it'll fit.It's going to take a belter of a tune to top it.Can't wait to find out.

So about the day-one DLC...

3 new Treasure Chests

  • Found in the Great Plateau
  • Contains useful items
  • Includes exclusive in-game clothing

If these chests are found in the Great Plateau (rather than simply given to the player) wouldn't it be best to thoroughly explore that area before obtaining the DLC?

Otherwise: You purchase the DLC day-one, explore every inch of the Great Plateau, find all the chests... then spend the rest of the game wondering which items/chests came from the DLC (apart from the Switch T-shirt*).

Think I'll wait a few weeks before grabbing that DLC; will probably appreciate it more.

(*I'm guessing there will be a Wii U T-shirt for Wii U owners?)

@jos

Appearantly, in the EDGE review of BOTW (solid 10/10 btw), it is said that the Wii U has some frame rate issues, but I don't think they make a big deal out of it.

Hi Im new.... please like me! (0_0)

I'm not going to bother purchasing the DLC until summer.I'd rather find these rare items on my own and find them I will.When I do come across the Switch T-shirt It'll be on tmy back for a few seconds to see how it looks then if I can trade it for something else I will haha

@Monkey_Balls Nope, Wii U owners also get a Switch T-shirt.

Really? Well never let it be said again that Nintendo don't advertise...

Switch-T-shirt-only run coming to a YouTube near you.
