@Haru17 Nah, it's alright, I'd even be cool with a turtle.

I still wonder if fishing is part of the game, I always liked that in OOT and TP. Makes sense if this game has fishing as well, considering its vast world; You know, just another thing to kill time with.

If you're not excited about paying 20 bucks for DLC which won't be released for several months, there's a neat trick you can use to beat the system.

You can buy the DLC after it has been released!

No no, I'm not crazy. It's all true I swear! In fact, you can do this with DLC, video games, and even consoles themselves.

All the more reason why there's absolutely no reason to complain about post-launch DLC. It's like people think 'yeah I really loved your Zelda game and all, but why in the world would you try giving me more of the game later? I would much prefer you stop development immediately and offer no further content!'

@AlexSays Yeah, people are being reactionary still. I don't get it, and honestly think it's pretty lame. I think some people enjoy getting pissed more than they actually do anything else in their lives: A phenomenon for which I would blame society, not necessarily individuals.

@Octane With regard to fishing, there hasn't been any sight of a fishing rod, but Link can catch fish by hand after lunging closer to them while swimming on the water's surface, blowing up the water and causing the dead fish to float to the top, and — I think — by shooting the fish with arrows or striking them with a spear / weapon attack.

Personally I'm not the hugest fan of the fishing mini-games and think it looks more fun without the rod. Especially if Link can swim underwater in Breath of the Wild with fish and pick them up that way. Now that'd be cool!

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

There needs to be a sidequest where you're tasked with catching a frog via fishing that keeping running away from you after you've caught it. Give fans more wonderful 90s Sonic memories.

Lol, way to think up that brilliant idea after multiple users on this thread said they would do exactly this.

But in all seriousness, I sympathize for those who want the complete game with just one purchase. But that's not the way the free market works, unfortunately for them.

Got married.

It was never meant to be a brilliant idea, its common sense shared by some (but not all) users. First post I read on the last page complained about buying DLC that won't be out yet.

Thank you for your response though

Gathering in angry mobs is the world's favorite pastime.

Apart from the loners, who gather in angry mobs on the internet.

I hope it's a cow then, and you can milk it for some Lon Lon Milk with some HD rumble action, or by gently stroking the Wii U GamePad.

Keeping lower the bar to the point you realise it's not even a "spoiler".

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on Nintendo

Hahaha!! The link you posted is actually broken, but clicking on it brings up a funny message! (if you click it, you will see what I mean!)

-Please don't fix it though, as I'm sure Zelda fans will appreciate it.

But please post the proper link in a separate post so that we can all access the page you were referring to. (and still have access to the funny version from your original post)

Thanks.

That link was just copy and pasted from the official Nintendo site.

Thanks. Yeah, the period at the end automatically appends to the url, making it think it's part of the web address. (I had a feeling that might be what it was, but sort of glad it happened that way, as it was worth it just to see the normal webpage "404 - WEB PAGE ERROR" message in the title bar come up instead as
"404 - I AM ERROR". (You have to have played Zelda II the Adventure of Link on the NES to even get what is funny about that, but anyone who has played that game will get the reference).

@Tsurii Oh! I saw that video, but I didn't connect the dots to their quotes from E3. I thought Link slipping while climbing a rain-slicked cliffside was just the 'climb down onto ledge' animation.

@GoronBrudda Don't worry, I think that anyone in this thread will get that reference!

Dodongo dislikes smoke.

It's a secret to everyone.

I am error.

Hey! Listen!

The concept of 'personal responsibility' is a political tool manufactured to oppress the masses.

Yeah, most likely! I must admit, even though the character called Error in that game is kind of corny in a way (as far as jokes go), I will always love the many subtle humorous things that Nintendo sneak into Zelda games.(and even that one for me will still never get old!)

Thanks for that! -I had almost forgotten about some of those!
I especially love some of the funny visual concepts they do aswell...

The hand popping out of the toilet and using a love-letter to wipe himself, springs to mind!

Link meowing like a cat in windwaker also never fails to crack me up too.

("...But don't ask me, as I'm just a kid!") teehee!!

Dezzy

The DLC story should be set in the past and it should have Zelda as the controllable character with you being able to explore all of the main Hyrule town and surrounding area before it got destroyed. That'd be great.

Would also be cool to be able to have multiple people all playing as some of the other characters in multiplayer mode. A Hyrule Warriors style battle taking place in the Breath of the Wild world, each with certain missions (for example) might be fun!
