i bet im the only one that thinks adding fine tuning to the land and making it more defined and HD will lose that small bit of atmosphere, the "bad graphics" had more of a water color feel to it than specifically just low res.

-_- I hate you Nintendo Life. Log in and the first image I see in the log in screen is Zelda U...
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

if they added a wolf familiar for link in zelda wii U would that be awesome? you could get a little dog whistle and when you go into battle it could flank enemies with you, add a little more depth in the combat system. i think thatd be awesome.
there could be other familiars too, you could only take one at a time, the rest would wait at your home base.
1. wolf- flanks enemies diverting attention or attacking from behind
2. hawk- dives at enemies to break guard
3. fairy- gives you hints about enemy weak points
4. sheep- looks cute
etc.
A while back there were rumours that the Mask seller from Majora was going to have a part in the Wii U game. I wonder with the revelation of the TP amiibo that the game is a connecting point to past games- perhaps even with time travel? Each game (maybe just the main console 3D boys) could have an amiibo that gives you access to previous powers to allow you to get to harder sections quicker in the game than just following the difficulty path. You could have the Ocarina from OoT to time travel, the Fierce Deity from Majora for super attack power to beat a certain boss blocking a path, the King of Red Lions from WW for traveling across water, Majora and Wolf from TP to lift dig, and break pathways clear, and the Loftwing to fast travel/reach high up areas. Eventually you could get to these areas, but the amibo could just speed this up. You could also use the amiibo to get extra hearts/upgrades quicker than waiting for the items to fre them.
Just a theory, but it would be a way to use amiibo in a meaningful way, but not in a game breaking fashion.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
ive been looking at the gameplay footage of zelda wii U and the Linkle reveal, and link and linkle both have the same hairstyle. i think zelda wii U will have a gender choice
It definitely sounds like the Wolf Link amiibo has read/write functionality in both games, it'll also likely give you 4 and 5 star Sol Shackles for Hyrule Warriors. As for the actual read/write capability, I'm going to guess something forceful as Nintendo's gone increasingly that route recently (Mario Party 10's amiibo party locked behind Mario character amiibo, Splatoon challenges locked behind Inkling amiibo, popular characters like Isabelle need amiibo cards to see in Happy Home Designer, can't get past title screen without an AC figure in amiibo Festival, etc.) so maybe when you obtain a certain item that's exclusive to Twilight Princess (e.g. Spinner, Dominion Rod) you can scan the Wolf Link amiibo to save those items to the amiibo and that's the only way they'll appear in your Zelda U inventory of which to 100% the game you need them.
I wish they kept amiibo out of Zelda U. I'm getting really tired of all the content locked behind those figurines...

consider it like this, every zelda game can use the same amiibos, and all those games would have dlc that costs money. but instead you just buy the dlc once and its available for every single zelda game that uses amiibos, you just scan the same amiibo that youve already bought

I don't even want DLC in Zelda games...
For other games, there's the fact that it's still tied to a physical figurine, which I don't really care for. At least give the option to purchase the amiibo content digitally.
@Octane: I agree, this is my current amiibo collection. In bold are the figures I would've bought if there was no locked content:
Mario
Luigi
Toad
Peach Yoshi
Bowser Bowser Jr.
Rosalina
Wario
DK Blue Yarn Yoshi
8-Bit Classic Mario Marth Ike Robin Lucina Pit Palutena Dark Pit
Link
Zelda
Sheik
Toon Link
Ganondorf Captain Falcon
Inkling Boy
Inkling Girl
Inkling Squid
Shulk
Kirby
Meta Knight
King Dedede Fox
Samus
Villager
Olimar
Pac-Man Mega Man Sonic
@DiscoGentleman: I don't have anything against DLC. I really liked the Mario Kart DLC for example, and they're doing an amazing job with Splatoon. But Zelda is one of those single player games that doesn't really benefit from DLC in my opinion. I cannot imagine how DLC can be present in Zelda without feeling as if there is something important locked behind a paywall.
New Dugeons or story content like most Adventure/RPG games with story content. A challenge dungeon like Den of Trails or something that takes bosses or dugenons with rewards from past games.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
@shingi_70: That's what I meant, adding story elements or more dungeons as DLC just doesn't feel right. Get the game done the first time and make sure it's the complete experience.

i agree that cut content for dlc is wrong, but if they want to add to the game after theyve sent it out then thats ok isnt it?
I'm with Octane on this. I don't want ANY DLC in a game like Zelda either, no additional sidestory, no new dungeons, no amiibo. Nothing. With games like this I want the full package right out of the box, and it doesn't matter if there's cut content or stuff they come up with after the game went gold, with these long development cycles/waits for Zelda games and all the delays, I want them to be complete on release. if they have new ideas for story or gameplay they should just save them for the next game.
i disagree, if the devs want to make and add more content after release then im ok with it, otherwise youd lose that extra bit, as long as dlc is extra content that wasnt created with the main game then its good.
if they create the entire experience and it feels right and they sell it, then a few months later they think of ways to improve it, then why should they not add to the game?
destiny did it the wrong way, but not all companies are evil like bungie and activision
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
