So, does anyone think the Champions' Ballad is going to let us play as those characters? And if so, how would they canonically fit in the ruined, empty version of Hyrule?

The DLC is so main story-focused that I can't imagine what the dungeon would be other than just another de-shrine beast. My thinking is that it has some Majora's Mask fan service and is amazing, or is just as underwhelming as all the good parts of the game.

the champions dlc, I'd quite like some way of restoring them. Perhaps as a post story, with a mechanic a bit like Albw. And being able to see the world begin to rebuild post Ganon... I'm not buying the dlc just yet though, I need to know what I'm getting!

The end implies they have moved on to the afterlife, "followed the light" as they say. You usually don't come back from that.

Looking forward to getting home from work and tapping some new amiibo against my pro controller. Majorly excited about fierce deity armour

So, I got the Majora's Mask amiibo and got — what else — Fierce Deity's pants! (After like 10 reloads.)

They buff attack or something. Now I'm just waiting until I can get either the Smash or Twilight Princess Link for the MSRP — I already bought the season pass back when I was enjoying this game on like March 4th. It's pretty weird how they split off the cosmetic items into both amiibo and the expansion pass instead of just making more amiibo... which they also are doing. It's dumb we only got one Breath Zelda amiibo. Her princess regalia looks much more interesting than her would-be adventurer garb.

Any expectations on what Mipha and the others are going to do?

It only took Zelda 31 years to get an awful cover with the protagonist facing away but looking over his shoulder. The Zelda version is nice though. By the way, my high resolution album of every Breath of the Wild concept art I can find is still ongoing. So, if there's anything I missed, please let me know.

^It's cute how Revali is kind of doing the same pose as Link.

Anyways, I decided to play the game again after like a 3 month pause and it's honestly a blast. I kind of forget how fun the game actually was to play and do stuff in. When does the DLC come out? I think their website said in like a week. For the 1st pack I mean.

So, the Fierce Deity sword is literally just a great sword. No sword beams, no skyward strikes, nothing...

I know there's no magic meter in the game, but I expect Zelda to put just a little more care into its weapons than World of Warcraft.

It's not the fierce deity sword. It's just a cheap reproduction.

That doesn't make sense for a number of reasons.

You're playing the same game where the Sea of the Ocean King is a tiny swamp and people bake cakes by throwing eggs and entire wheat branches into a pot.

Yea, I'm "starting fresh" when the DLC comes out for Hard Mode, and I'm pretty excited to get back into it. I didn't put like 100+ hours into the game like most people around here (I only have 90 hours; I'm a filthy casual), but I'm really gonna try go comb for Korok seeds and stuff my next time through with all the knowledge I got from my original file.

The Sea of the Ocean King...? That in and of itself doesn't make any sense.

So, does anyone know in which timeline and when does Breath of the Wild take place? There are so many conflicting clues — Zelda mentions twilight (Twilight Princess) in the first memory along with time (Ocarina of Time) and skyward (Skyward Sword), so that would imply the child timeline ... but all of the sages from Ocarina of Time are referenced in in-game locations, so they seem to all have became sages and are remembered as such in this world (which in other words means not the child timeline). On the other hand, there is Ralis pond, which is a nod to Twilight Princess (unless Ralis became a prince in other timelines as well). Not to mention rock salt, Koroks, Rito, etc. for adult timeline.

Considering that Breath of the Wild is far far far into the future of whichever timeline it is in (cause 10000 years ago they had way more tech than in any Zelda game prior), it actually could be possible that all the timelines converged.

What do you guys think? Please note that I haven't finished all the divine beasts and haven't fought Ganon yet so hide spoilers if you mention any please!

I still haven't got round to finishing it as I'm waiting to buy a Switch.

Can someone explain to me what kind of endgame content there is in the game. Is there much incentive to try and 100% it?

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.
