@NaviAndMii I did Naboris, Medoh, Rudania, and Ruta. I also went with the flow and headed for the desert first. I didn't continue the main plot till I defeated Naboris and only then did I head to the village I was suppose to. I'd say I spent about 25 to 30 hours in the desert area before I even saw another armor set other then what was available there.

@Spoony_Tech Interesting! The game pretty much guides you to Kakariko Village, then just seems to leave you to it...my natural inclination was to continue heading north from there - but any 'plan' just got thrown out of the window by the many, many distractions out in the world! ..I think I must've done at least 3 whole circuits of the map (exploring every nook and cranny!) before I started to play with any sort of purpose with regards reaching the 'end-game'! ..just so happened to get sucked in to the vah Rudania dungeon first while exploring Death Mountain - had an absolute blast - then casually made my way over to the desert to attempt vah Naboris (..only because it was the area I'd explored the least at that stage)
...some say that the game trys to funnel you in to doing vah Naboris first - but I never got that sense when I played (?) ..I just kinda felt cut loose and free to do whatever I wanted - so that's exactly what I did!
@NaviAndMii What I did when I first jumped off the Great Plateau was head south as I saw something interesting and as you said just kept seeing something interesting till I ended up in the desert. For some reason I was dead set on not going to my next marked destination story wise. I just wanted to see the world!

@Spoony_Tech Oh nice! I think that if I start again (hard mode maybe?) I'll do something like that!
@Yasaal Yeah - It was kind of a conscious decision to try to prolong the game for as long as possible ..not sure why, but I've always played games like that - I like to know that I've well and truly played a game to death before I move on to the next one! ..I spent most of the first 90-or-so hours on foot (no fast-travelling) just exploring every inch of the world! ..even playing like that, I've still only managed to find ≈210 (of the 900) Korok Seeds! ..I'm clearly not the most observant player!
My Switch tells me I've played BoTw for 190 hours or more, so I'm putting off playing it until next week when the DLC drops as the Hero Path only shows the 1st 200 hours (only, lol)
Curious as to where I have and haven't been. Got all 120 shrines, all side quests done, 316 Korok seeds. But I'm sure there'll be something interesting I've completely missed on my travels!
I haven't played in like over a month now, so next week will definitely be fresh, gonna make use of the Korok mask and try to get all seeds, I would like to complete the game before doing hard mode.
I haven't played Zelda for a while now too. Once I completed the story I was doing side quests and shrines but shortly after I bought Bomberman so I was distracted now I have Arms too as well as having Mario Kart 8 too. I don't see myself playing it again for a while.
@NaviAndMii 210? Amazing! Because I fast travel and generally avoid long treks I found only 56 seeds despite being a generally observant player. We're basically polar opposites while playing Zelda XD

Yeah, the Koroks are quite hard to find without a guide. (I've been paying for ages, and still only on about 256 so far) . Well, actually, they're quite easy to find, but with so many of them, it's hard to find them all is what I mean. Still though, it has been enough to upgrade all the sword slots, and I've git literally all the ones from the Hebra region, so just need to find all the others now, as I'm determined to keep going until I've got all 900.
Nearly got all the armor sets upgraded though, so will be literally just down to krorks once those are done beoife I can offically make it to atrue 100% completion, (that said, the DLC will be coming out soon, so I had better get cracking with that, or it sorta still won't count! lol.
I'm well happy though, as the Zelda Accessory set and my Yellow Joy-Cons turned up today, so that has put me in a really bouncy mood! My Switch really looks the part now! I don't normally like the joy-con guards, but the ones that come with that set are actually pretty good, as they don't restrict the buttons the way that many of the others do. They still don't fit inside a Joy-Con grip with them on though, but I normally play in GamePad mode anyway. But what I did find was that they really helped stop the hybrid case form sliding around, and they both even fit inside the orzly travel case whilst I have whilst wearing them both, so everything feels complete now. (and I love the way the Zelda look works with this!)
Does anyone know a way I can post photos on here? (I can't seem to find any advanced formatting buttons)
EDIT: @gcunit Thanks gcunit for showing me how to do this. Can't be bothered to upload them to an external site, but the person I stole the idea from had already posted a pic of what I was going to show, so will just use this one...
@GoronBrudda To post photos you need to upload them to an image uploading site, then put [img] tags around the picture's url.
I've played 95+hrs and have only completed 50 shrines and found 127 Korok seeds. Still not made it to Goron City. I was heading there about 10-15 play hours ago, but decided to take the 'scenic route' and still nowhere near it. The game's fabulous like that.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
900 seems like such a daunting number of Korok Seeds - I'm not sure I have the motivation to try and collect 'em all! I'm pretty happy to have found 200+ by myself - feels fairly respectable!
I have a few Shrine Quests and Major Test's of Strength left to do (should take me to close to 100 Shrines completed) - hopefully I'll find a few more secrets along the way ..then I'm gonna make a run for Ganon -
and after that, I might dip in to a guide or two so that I can polish off the remaining Shrines - and discover other wonders that I have no doubt missed!
...still torn on the DLC - on the one hand, I'm keen to extend the adventure - but I think I'd like to know a little more about the 2nd Pack before I commit! ..if they say that DLC Pack 2 contains a new story with each of the 4 Champions as playable characters - or something similar - I'm sold! ..it seems like it should be good value for money - I'd just like a more complete view of what I'll be getting before first
@GoronBrudda Wow you sound like you've done a lot! (And here I am with finishing only 28% of the game).
don't worry, it's taken me long enough to get this far. (have been on it almost every day since launch. Loads of people have done way more than me, but I only get the time I can squeeze in after work (though I'm not gonna lie, I'm often awake way longer than I should be just to do it). It gets hard to break away from it sometimes!

Thanks gcunit, that explains it! (had a feeling I'd have to mess around with stuff like that). Might upload some pics to do that when I get the time. (wish there was a less long-winded method though)

heheh. Yeah, getting blissfully sidetracked is one of Zelda's many allures. (or should I say, accidental addictions,) -Not sure which! This one's certainly no exception. (probably the longest one I've played since Windwaker. with the limited time I get, it usually takes me about a month to 100% each zelda game (windwaker was about 3 months the first time round for me, and then was able to do it quite quick once I knew where everything was for second playthorughs). Breath of the Wild though has already surpassed it in the time it's taking me so far, so should be interesting to see whether that "one last bit" really is "one last bit" (or whether there's still a good month or so in that) seemingly small tasks can often take much longer than predicted at the best of times. (I was telling myself "one last bit" after month one!) lol.
