Use the door as a ramp? I don't know lol

Okay, well, thndrthize died again. Here's what happened:

My plan was to max out force on the metal door while on stasis, than quickly duck under the door and shoot an arrow at it (the trick is to shoot right at where the yellow arrow begins). The whole operation was too busy for me to get a good screenshot of the attempt, but let's just say, I had a-neigh-zing results.

I'm not kidding, for about twenty whole seconds, I thought that both the door and thndrthize disappeared. Then I heard a faint neigh growing louder and louder, and finally thndrthize plummeted just a few feet from where it started. The door, meanwhile, was a hundred yards away.

It's only a matter of time before thndrthize gets up to the great plateau alive, though. I'll find a way. After all, I've gotten the metal door up there using this method.

Side notes:
1) I should have named him Laika, after the first animal (dog) in space! I can't seem to find a way to rename it, so I guess he'll be thndrthize forever.
2) You know what really sucks when doing things like this? Random enemy encounters. I wouldn't mind them if they didn't pop up so frequently! Yiga Clan Members, Stalmonsters, Swarms of Keese, Oh my!
3) Thankfully the horse god keeps thinking my horse is dying due to "unexpected accidents." I mean, that's what they are, aren't they? A-aren't they?!

So there's no way to transfer the Wii U save to the Switch version? I'm wondering (since I'm not touching the Wii U as much anymore) if I should trade in the Wii U version of this game, no idea when I'll be able to get the Switch version if I do, though.

You know, I was recently wondering about this myself. It's certainly possible - If Capcom could do it with MH on 3DS/Wii U and 3DS/Switch, why can't Nintendo with Wii U/Switch? But Nintendo might not have announced it earlier for fear of people thinking they could just buy the Wii U version now and wait for the Switch version later. If you can't transfer saves, people would realize they don't want to redo a huge game like BotW again and just buy a Switch and the Switch version instead.

Although it could be announced later this year to convince Wii U BotW players to double-dip.

Eh, I doubt Nintendo themselves would release an app for this, I just wondered if there was a way for us to do it ourselves.

If not, then....I wouldn't mind starting the game over anyway.

Also, why is there fresh food in the dining hall at Hyrule Castle? Who's eating there that hasn't been dead for a century?

@Nicolaison Isn't the last spot for the Light Bow? It needs to be free so it can be added in the final fight.
If it also had Light Arrows a second Bows&Arrows slot page would unlock. Now I need to check that.

I'm new to Switch and therefore BOTW, and most of you have probably beat it already, but wow, what a great game. I started off following markers and ended up at the first Ganon in the Zora area. I got killed easy enough of course. So I left and started exploring instead. Unlocked a bunch of the map, found more Zora armor, then found a fairy fountain that upgraded my armor, then found another fairy fountain and now working on upgrading my armor further (currently fishing for enough fish). I still have a long ways to go, but I have a feeling it'll be awhile before I get back to that first Ganon. I want to get as strong as possible before returning.

Is it just me or is the Mipha amiibo like... The ugliest one so far?

4 more amiibo, and probably at best, they will grant you the champion weapons, if that's the case, I really wouldn't care as much, but I am excited for the DLC, 17 days left, is only it came sooner.

I certainly hope so. Though I will say the idea of starting over with zero shrines, Korok seeds, armor upgrades, etc. slightly nauseates me. I mean, I could see resetting the shrine count, maybe, but GAH! Please don't make me start from zero on the seeds again. I WILL find all of those seeds, even if it takes me the life cycle of the Switch lol

Did they explain anything about the second DLC pack? All I saw was a montage of still images of the champions.

Nah, just that it'd be focused on them. I'm guessing the playable character is one of them or Zelda with them being her entourage

Ugliest among the 4 champions? Definitely. Ugliest amiibo of all time? ... Possibly. Not sure if it's just the angle but they really did her amiibo an injustice somehow, meanwhile the rest of the Champions look great.

(Should have made a Sidon amiibo instead!!)

I'm surprised by just how good the trial of the sword looks. I thought it would be far lazier than what they've shown.

Apparently there will be a separate save slot for the Master Mode.As for the 2nd pack,it sounds like it will be a prequel.Maybe we'll be able to control all 4 Champions,each having their own uses to solve puzzles and defeat bosses etc.Maybe even switching between them on the fly.That could get confusing in a world this big though. I imagine it will be the exact same map but before everything was destroyed.That should make the world interesting enough to explore all over again.Guardians might be on our side too,at least for part of it.

Nothing of content was shared about the 2nd part of the dlc so we don't really know yet. They may yet surprise us with an almost fully fleshed out game...

I'm taking it as it comes. The 1st pack with the sword trial and master stuff seems to be worth our time a great deal already. It really looked great.

I'm roughly 90 hours in, and still stumbling across neat surprises. After stripping down for the blood moon, I popped into a stable to spend the night and got an interesting reception from the hotelier. Love this game!

So, after 125+ hours of adventuring, I've finally freed all four of the Divine Beasts! (..thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them as 'dungeons' too!)

I'm curious to know what order you guys did them in? For me, it was:

1st - vah Rudania (Goron City)
2nd - vah Naboris (Gerudo Town)
3rd - vah Medoh (Rito Village)
4th - vah Ruta (Zora's Domain)

...no particular reason I did them in that order - I just went along with the flow and that's how it played out!
