@MegaButterfree Just came across the Forgotten Temple recently.
Yeah, that place's pretty much a contender for where to put the new dungeon.
Speaking of new dungeons, I hope the DLC dungeon is more traditional. Small keys, compasses, mini-boss, boss-key... but with the puzzles seen in the Vah dungeons. That'd be a perfect mix.

God first.

Just got my switch and a copy of this game this week. First time playing a Zelda game. My oh my what an introduction.

My mind has been blown.

It'd feel pretty cheap if they didn't add on more land for the final story and dungeon. Skyrim, Fallout 4, and the Witcher all did that, and you wouldn't even need to make something that substantial — just an environment that fits the dungeon setting.

It could be in an empty spot or otherwise continuous with the existing map, but if it's just a doorway added to the environment that would feel lame without some kind of outside questline for the story.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

@JammyTWOsugars What an introduction indeed, enjoy. Probably best to avoid reading too much comments on here though as there's a lot of details not tagged as spoilers since the game's been out for a while now.

I had a funny thing happen to me today.I had never managed to ride a deer or stag before. I did try to several times near the start of my adventure but was always unsuccessful so I gave up ,although I did manage to ride a bear once.Anyway,I was high up somewhere in the Akallo region with my horse out of sight among some trees far below.I done what I needed to do then glided back down to where my horse was.As I glided through some trees on the way,I lost sight of Link behind one, then the he just stopped dead. I wondered what's going on here.I pulled the camera down to where I could see him again and to my amazement I'd landed on a deer,by a complete fluke.Only after laughing did I notice the "tame" bar on the screen but was too late to do anything about it.I ended up on the deck and Bambi had scarpered. So I've now sat on a deer but I'm still yet to ride one.

About 85 hours in and I've finally managed to catch one of those elusive flower Korok seeds. I swear I've tried that same method before without success...

They've been doing my head in.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Eh?

@zitpig What are you struggling with - what I'm talking about, or that it's taken me 85 hours?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. What's this elusive korok flower seed you mentioned? Are you talking about when you stand on a stump and it shoots a ring-thing that you have to get through?

...but that's literally what Skyrim did. "Here's a boat/door to the new area. Kthxbye"

I meant a door for a dungeon added to the existing game world without a new environment to house it.

Conversely, Skyrim's first DLC, Dawnguard, didn't add a huge new zone, but added several dungeons and new enemies and items to the existing game world, as well as a new main questline. It felt substantial to me because it brought the static game world back to life with new content, even if it wasn't one of Bethesda's expansions built around a meaty chunk of new land. Dawnguard is basically the most I am expecting from Breath of the Wild.

@zitpig I'm assuming he's talking about the one where you have to chase a single flower, and it teleports farther away a few times before the Korok reveals itself. Either that or the one where there are a bunch of them in groups, and you have to seek the single one first, then the couple, then the trio, etc.

Got married.

Wow - I'm never 'in the know' about games usually, cos normally I play them long after release.

I don't wanna spoil anything for you guys, but basically there a few locations where you'll come across a single flower on its own. And when you get close to it, it disappears to another nearby spot, leaving a brief cloud of Korok seed sparkle.

I tried everything to try and catch one, then gave up having run out of ideas. Then last night I was determined to figure it out, so tried everything I could think of again, and eventually nabbed my first one.

Now left with the frustration of all the others I've abandoned and need to try and find again.

Oh man, I didn't know that second kind even existed. Turns out I'm not in the know then

@gcunit I see. That's not really a spoiler haha. Just chase them until you find the last one, and a Korok will appear.

Octane

gcunit

@Octane Haha! So I'm totally not in the know. I didn't know you had to keep chasing them - I thought there was a certain technique to catching them unawares or something...

I'll go back to my hole of ignorance...

I've taken to playing BoTW without fast travel. Basically acting as if it doesn't exist for around the past 10 hours in game.

I think it's more enjoyable (and I can't wait to see my Hero's Path plotted on the map).

Has anyone else been playing with similarly rewarding self-imposed rules?

Thank you. Oh yeah i'll be certainly more cautious. I'd hate anything to ruin this epic journey for me

@StuTwo I've played with just the 'Pro' HUD since the beginning, and only used fast travel twice I think.
