I just found out that if you slay blue chuchus with a thundersword, they drop yellow chuchu jelly. Useful considering it's double the price of blue chuchu jelly. I bet it works with stuff like flameswords and frost spears too.

There are so many small details that just adds to my love for this game. Yesterday I noticed in Gerudo Desert, during the day, staying in any shade lowers your temperature. It's not just an area of affect thing.

Also, has anyone tried the Monster masks? I was having a lot of fun just messing around with them.

I had a very brief look at a map of the Korok locations and it seems (for the most part) you can go two minutes in either direction and be able to find one. The world is far from empty; they are just very well hidden. Climb every tall thing, cut/burn every bush/patch of grass, shoot anything that looks suspicious and experiment like crazy. Some of the Koroks aren't so obvious...

Oh, and has anyone else spotted the hint which has been directly lifted from Wind Waker? It certainly makes life a bit easier when searching for certain things. Can't believe it took me 130 hours of playing before I noticed it. Also, I found out how to turn a raft into a speedboat; I'm motoring on those waves! Who needs a Korok Leaf when you have runes?

Or you could use a certain item which protects Link from thunderstorms... And yes, you can change Chuchu Jelly with other weapons. I've made a lot of rupees from Chuchus.

For those who have beaten the game already, I have two questions... Is the Master Sword unbreakable? And can I find the Hylian Shield in Hyrule Castle? Only need a yes/no.

@Operative2-0 Sort of like the four ''powers'' you get and how they need to recharge over time? Cause that what's the Great Deku Tree told me, but am I right in think that it can't break like other weapons?

some of you people must have a lot of spare time on your hands lol, i have racked up around 40 hours of play since launch day and still only defeated one divine beast ! some of you guys sound like you are miles ahead !!!

BurgerRob is the name ^_^

@Monkey_Balls Yeah, I already figured that was the case, there's a reason why I still have an empty spot left on my wall

@Meowpheel maybe we should just ask Ant if he can't add some sort of functionality to combine "double posts" into one. Other forums do it, this one is only going to grow at this point and the mods can't tell every single new user to avoid doing it 24/7. This is probably not the best place to talk about that tho.

I'd second that request! (don't get me wrong, those of us that know what we're doing with code can still currently do workarounds to quote multiple comments, but I'm not gonna lie, it does get quite cumbersome, even when you know how). So having the actual quote button support multiple quotes would definitely greatly be welcomed!

The simplest way to achieve this functionality would be for the existing quote button to simply append the quote to the end of what's already in your text reply box (rather than overwriting it). That way, no matter how many posts you clicked the quote button on, it would automatically quote them all in sequence, so would make replying to multiple people in one post a million times easier regardless of experience level, and conversations would flow nicely.

(not a gripe, just trying to be helpful) so the javacript behind the scenes could achieve this functionality in one simple line of code).

For example...
textBox.value = thisPost.quoteText

would become something like:

textBox.value = textBox.value && [2 new blank lines to separate] && thisPost.quoteText

(obviously the above isn't actual javascript, I'm just using generic examples to demonstrate the logic behind how to make the tweak to whatever the real code is that this site uses, just to demonstrate its simplicity)

I think it's impossible to lose any weapon / item type forever, some gear just becomes very rare.

@Octane Ha, I've done the same thing! That particular item has not, and will not, ever be used. It's on a wall in pristine condition... erm, which seems a bit daft really (one of my complaints with this game). @Haru17 is correct - it can be replaced if lost/broken - but all my best items seem to be ornaments, which is rather pointless.

On a different note, how the heck do you do the stupid "Synced Swing" shrine. I've been stuck on that for about 40 minutes. I know what to do but just can't get the timing right. Magnesis is the only way to do it, right? Am I missing something?

@Monkey_Balls That's another one of those shrines where the 'puzzle' is just fighting the physics until things click, and this game is hardly a precision platformer. Remember that you can change the distance between Link and the metal object he's holding with up and down on the D-pad. I really liked the puzzle at the end of the shrine.

Hmm, so I have a problem. Though I've completed all 120 shrines, my shrine quest list still reads 41 / 42 completed. I found the shrine for 'A landscape of a stable' without ever grabbing the quest, so is that 42/42 just inaccessible now or do I need to find a particular NPC and tell them I did it?

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

You need to find the npc that starts the quest.

I did the one for the 7 heroines as soon as I entered the desert... Then found the quest several days later. It just immediately completed itself.

Bloop.

@Monkey_Balls Is this regarding The ball with two ropes on either side that needs to fall straight down? If so use Stasis on the ball and cut both ropes. or is it a different shrine entirely? I cant remember.

@Haru17 @BLP_Software It's the Mogg Latan shrine just South of Satori Mountain. You have to use swinging platforms to get across gaps. I've tried everything (different distance, angles, etc) and still can't get past the first swing. I either get it to judder and swing wildly about or - on the odd occasion I do manage to line it up - there never seems to be enough momentum or time to get me across (the swing slows down quickly and rarely reaches the other side). Am I supposed to jump on as soon as I activate it? If so, I can't catch it from my starting position. I've also tried to freeze it to give me more time but can never make it.

@BLP_Software The shrine you're talking about... I haven't done it yet but thanks for the answer.
@Haru17 I just checked my quest log. The NPC you need to speak to is inside Foothill Stable (South of Death Mountain), staring at a painting.

Haruki_NLI

@Monkey_Balls Its a simple Magnesis thing.
