I keep coming in here, read a line or 2 of a comment and think damn,I wish I hadn't read that.

I have been playing for around 25 hours and I've made very little progress.I can't help myself from going off the beaten track or scaling the peaks.I've only been to 2 towns, beaten 10 shrines and activated 3 (or maybe it's 4) towers.I can see myself passing 200 hours without finishing the main quest.

The game has far exceeded my expectations.I'm genuinely blown away by it time after time.I know for certain now,i'm playing the best game I've ever played.

I love the thing they're going for with the more passive and natural music. I can get why people may not like it as much, but as someone who lives in a very nature filled area, it's incredibly calming and peaceful to indulge in the nice music. I love the contrast it creates with the town music. Makes it all the more enjoyable for me tbh.

I always liked the sound and music aspect of Zelda. I love it even more in this one!

Started to go towards Kakariko Village. Took 1h30 to do less than half the road with two Shrines, the tower to unlock the map and A LOT of other things that made me lose some time. People at the time feared the world would be empty. Well it's not, defintely! AND I LOVE IT!!!

Just as a heads up (or down, depending on how if you're ahead of me or not); anyway who walks straight to the sage in Mirro Shaz: Tempered Power is missing almost half the shrine.

Anyway, off to my the Korok guy again. I've accumulated almost 50 seeds since I last saw him, and now I feel I can't do anything because my inventory is so full of special weapons that I'm too afraid to use them in anything other than a massively boss. Bokoblins have become an almost undefeatable for.

@OorWullie Honestly, despite not having the game yet, I don't feel cheated reading much of the spoilers listed here, because short of actual plot, the only way to truly cheapen your experience is using a guide or something to find stuff.

Alone, a force. Together, a force of nature.

Oh gods, I just unlocked the rest of the "basic" runes and checked out the additional features. It's now official that I will never finish this game. XD

I need some help! So Hateno Tower, are you meant to climb it with the vines still wrapped around it? Or do you need to do something to get rid of them first? I keep trying to climb but get so far and hit vines...gah.

Thanks!

@Tsurii It took me two fairies to realise what was happening, I thought those Lizalfos had perfect aim or something.. I felt stupid..

Octane

@ProjectX1991 Well, how would you even get rid of them then? They're vines after all, and we know that plants are indestructible.

Okay... So, is there a way to refight dungeon bosses for the purpose of the compendium???

I really don't like Zelda's voice actress. I'm sorry. I'm not bothered that they included voice acting this time around, it's just.... her voice is awful. I've tried to like it, but after 20 hours and viewing several cut scenes, I've decided that it just doesn't suit her. I would have expected something maybe a little higher?

Well I have found that aiming runes is best done with the gyro.

When having to furiously target cryonis in battle I found it very difficult with the pro controller on Wii U (oops wrong thread or did the whole Wii U thread move over here to the switch forum?) to aim and use the ability as you have to press the A button with your right hand while using the right stick to aim.

This was a million times easier when I switched to the gamepad for this part of the game. Aim with the gyro and press A with your finger, just need to use the right stick to be somewhere in the area of your target.

I think plants are made out of wood.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

It is incredible how varied the environment is. Today I climbed a mountain and found sort of a tropical area.
I was sure that I would find a memory there, but I couldn't even after searching for hours. I even completed the shrine quest with lightning. There is a horse stable too. Can anyone confirm if this is around there?

In other Shine updates: Kee Ruug - Fateful Stars is also twice the size it initial appears if you want to get all the chests.

Not sure if it's spoiler-worthy but to be safe.
Those 12 photos that comes with the album, is there anything you can do with those? I found one of the locations and assume they relate to getting some lost memories back...

@DreamyViridi There should be a sparkly greenish shimmer on the ground where the image was taken, which you just have to collect to complete the task.

EDIT: Just rephrased it because I don't want to create any spoilers.

Spoilers for a north eastern shrine: I did find it amusing how the 'puzzle' of the shrine was simply opening a treasure chest to get a pretty nifty flamesword. The text spoken by the sheikah even changed to reflect the fact that you hadn't done anything courageous (I believe it was a 'blessing' instead of a trial.)
