@Spanjard It doesn't release today. Tomorrow is the street date.
I'm just glad I dont have to wait an hour/hour plus (Doom L.A.) to play this. Couple minute patch should be all it needs. Ill be spending at least 15 to 30 minutes creating a character anyways lol.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Fair enough, I didn’t think I needed to say more, as I tried everything motion control action. All you do is press zr and aim, it works well, but I’ve never really been a fan of motion controls.
@NaviAndMii: I wouldn't mind if the gaming industry took a few months off so that I can catch up on my backlog AND get a start on all these new games releasing! I about need to clone myself just to be able to have enough time lol.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
My mate just came round for a few beers, he’s a Switch hater, Well Nintendo in general. He couldn’t believe how good it looked on it, probably not enough to stop the cheap digs that it’s just a crappy tablet, but it’s the first time he’s said something nice about it. Lol
My copy arrived today but its yet to go in as I got back to my long overdue attempts to continue Bravely Second. Therefore with Xeno 2 just round the corner, I expect to start Skyrim around March.
Although may start it up over the weekend to try it out and prevent me from feeling bad if any discounting happens by then.
Eh. None of the Elder Scrolls console games have ever had mods. Only the recent remaster, that's the first one.
Mods are neat but really, Skyrim is a full, complete, amazing game without modifications from gamers themselves. Plus portability > mods.
The Arlo review pretty much sums up the thoughts of a true Skyrim fan. And basically mirrors the sentiments of my Skyrim loving coworker who bought a Switch just to have this game playable anywhere. He pretty much says it's one of the best releases ever and he could probably spend the rest of his life playing this game on a handheld where the restrictive nature of previous TV/monitor-tied releases has been removed.
@JaxonH i guess thats a reply to me. Well i am coming from the PC. Having played skyrim for god knows how long. Playing vanillia for me seems to be a very boring proposition. I may be ok even without visual mods but survival and other immersion mods like frostfall Is essential for me to even justify replaying the game in switch.
I've never played Skyrim with mods, the game isn't even about that for most people. It's an open world game with an actual progression, not one where you're encouraged to quit, download and install a mod, and fire it back up but now with Kojima's tacky taste plastered all over the walls of Whiterun.
Survival mode in Fallout 4 was definitely interesting and I'd like to see them experiment with that again in the future... but I'm not sure I'd want to have played Skyrim with temperature effects on. There's a lot of snow and frozen things. Like, hundreds and hundreds of hours of them. Survival gameplay would just make that even more methodical. Elder Scrolls games are about progression, atmosphere, history, and really selling a world to you as you walk around in it. It's okay for the protagonist to be able to handle the cold.
@Haru17 well mods are what made it last in PC, its what Bethesdas games are mostly known for! i can argue that the most hardcore fans that actually played skyrim longer than any other are those who are active in the modding community.
as for survival mods, i thinks you should try it, its very fun and immersive. Its not as if your defenceless against the cold, your clothing has value, you can build camps and camp fires, you can cook food, torches gives heat. You dont just die like Just Starve or any other rouge like. It expands the games immersiness and appeal. Thats why playing vanilla skyrim for me seems so boring.
