@NintendoByNature Yeah I love the nods they have to the Konami TMNT games. The whole game itself is done really well. You can tell that it was made for those who grew up with the 90s TMNT.
It is definitely one of my pics for GOTY.

@Tasuki they really did an amazing job on this. Well try to finish up the game tonight and I might see if bimmy-Lee wants to do a run this weekend or next. I'd love to see how some online coop goes. @Kairu I was thinking the same! Lol. It gets pretty hectic with only 2 players, so even 4 would be outrageous.
@NeonPizza As I said before, I get it. Even my forum use has dwindled down to practically nothing. I pop on from time to time but to read the articles and even those have gone down in quality. It's funny cause to me it seems that NL isn't interested in keeping the older crowd but are catering to the Wii generation, which is sad.
No one wants to engage anymore in the forums they just want to ask silly stuff that has no point or discuss stuff that they worry about that has no needed to worry about. I can't even discuss retro stuff anymore because when I do some goober brings up Wii or DS. Even when I talk about opening a new NES game when I was a kid, I get oh I played that on my emulator, which my response would be get the F out, haha.
Sad thing is now if I want to reminisce about NES or SNES I am more like to hit my old friends up on Facebook then hang out here in goober land.

@Tasuki I want to talk NES but I never get the chance too.
I think I'm going to change a little on here (for the better),
I'm a huge retro gaming fan I've rarely shown that, I'm going to start posting regularly in the retro thread.
I like making things and always forget to post them, I'm going to start posting them.
I talk too much about my problems, I'm going to stop.
I'm going to try and stop buying video games to save up for a camera, so I'm going to only post in the threads that are about new upcoming games if I actually have something to say about them or are buying them.
@NintendoByNature@NeonPizza Just got and update from LRG and it looks like oreders for the Classic Edition for Shredders Revenge are going through the final checks and should be shipping out soon, in fact they said hopefully by the end of the year I should be getting it.
Also they said that another wave of standard edition copies from LRG will be hitting retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon for those interested in a physical copy.

Me and my little guy just beat the game. Absolutely loved it from start to finish and it was great being able to share something I grew up and loved so much with my son. We played on normal, and it was surprisingly tough. For a 4 yr old, he's actually pretty good at games and can hold his own, even moreso than his older siblings.
My only gripe with the gameplay is the revive function. Very rarely were you able to pull it off unless your partner died right before you cleared the last person so it was an open stage with no enemies. I feel like it should've been continued if you were attempting to revive and it got interrupted if that makes sense. Other than that, its up there with SoR4 as the greatest bmup ever, at least in my eyes.
@NintendoByNature The best thing I found for the revive is to use a special attack to clear the screen then revive. Also if you didn't know, you can hi-five each other to give each life. So if you have a full bar you can give your partner some life which is helpful at times.

@NeonPizza Yeah I get ya. Half the time I am tempted to delete my account here but then the other side of me figures I will keep it just in case I find something worthwhile to comment on. I check the site still several times a day but really don't have a reason to comment on anything and when I do it's just ignored or goes off in some other direction.
We just have to face it that the best years of Nintendolife are gone and not coming back.

So got a notification that my copy of Shredder's Revenge from LRG is on its way. Now with the crazy weather we are having Stateside who knows when I will get it, but at least it's on the way.

@NintendoByNature Did you get the standard edition, because I got the Classic edition with the VHS slipcover and all that. I remember them saying that standard editions would be shipped out first, and then the classic and Deluxe editions.
Still it will be nice to add it to my Switch games once I have it. Now the only thing I am waiting from at this time from LRG is River City Girls 2.

@NintendoByNature Yeah I believe that the Classic and Deluxe took longer due to getting all the extras together. I didn't bother with the standard just because I had the game digitally via Gamepass. That and I couldn't say no to that VHS slipcover. Seeing it brought back so many memories of when I was a kid renting TMNT videos from the local video store. Lol. That and the Pizza Hut coupon. Still not sure If I want to save it or use it.

@NintendoByNature Haha Nice. I was lucky to find an original coupon from the NES game a few years ago at a flea market. I figured the one I get from Shredder's Revenge would look good next to it.
