...Okay seriously, how do FPs really work here? The normal CPU for Bayonetta seems..."meh", one of the reasons I got her Amiibo. Finally decided to use this after getting it for the Wii U and...it's just annoying. Not only is it STILL terrible at using her final smash, but...now she's constantly spamming Up Smash? Wat?
Aren't these things supposed to like, take in your own fighting style or something?

This may sound stupid, but here’s my guess on what the next fighter is. Master chief, or crash. This may sound like I’m just jumping on the bandwagon and riding it to the grave, but the next reveal would be the e3 one, like banjo, and most likely Steve was going to be e3. Master chief mainly because we have no first person shooter reps, which is a big part of gaming now, and also all the last 2 e3 characters have been Microsoft property, but maybe I’m just stretching it. And for the mii costumes, it would be the Lloyd swordfighter dude, and other characters from first person shooters like doomguy, who would have rip and tear theme (a man can dream). But with crash, he’s wanted, he would be a big reveal like Steve, not saying master chief wouldn’t be big, there was that supposed 5 year plan leak for crash in smash. I mean I also think we could get both of them, but that’s just a dream, just like doomguy at this point, we’ll probably get one of the above, and another swordfighter, to make over half of both fighter passes sword fighters! Yay. Thank you for reading my awfully written guess at what we’re getting.
@Slinkoy1 I can't see Master Chief being added, even as a rep for FPS there's better choices out there like Doom Marine or Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark.
My money is on Rillaboom or another new Pokemon from Sw/Sh and Heihachi Mishima from Tekken, it's kinda mental Bandia Namco only has Pac Man in the roster when they now make the Smash games but my heart wants MK's Scorpion and Professor Layton.
@Slinkoy1 I think Crash and Fortnite Guy. Final Fantasy, Crash, Spyro and Kingdom Hearts are the 4 big franchises that have lost Playstation exclusivity during the Switch era so far. We already have Sephiroth in Fighters Pass 2 so that rules out other Square Enix characters like Sora and Lara Croft (I think there's a good chance of Thursday's Square Enix Presents revealing that the PS1 Tomb Raider games goes multiplatform) so that leaves Crash and Spyro of which Crash is the bigger franchise.
Fortnite Guy would be the Steve style pick. Fortnite is a worldwide phenomenon which popularized the Battle Royale genre that most multiplayer games nowadays are a part of. Tetris, Mario, Forza, etc. the list goes on for popular franchises that have a battle royale mode and it's all because of Fortnite.
@Grumblevolcano These franchises have been off of PlayStation for YEARS though
Crash and Spyro have been multiplatform for the past 3 gaming generations, Final Fantasy became multiplatform technically beginning with VII's PC port in the late 90's but completely so with FFXIII on PS3/360, and most of the Kingdom Hearts side games had been exclusive to Nintendo systems prior to the collections despite the numbered entries excluding 3 being PlayStation only in addition to a handful of mobile games

@TheFrenchiestFry I was on about the Playstation exclusives no longer being exclusive like it wasn't until 2018 that the PS1 Crash trilogy appeared outside Playstation.
@Grumblevolcano Technically still untrue for Final Fantasy though. The PS1 games excluding stuff like Tactics all got pretty quick PC ports and the PS2 titles came to Steam years ahead of any console releases

@Grumblevolcano So you're talking of the PS games themselves rather than the franchise? That's a strange logic, it's not consistent with other reps like Persona PS era games aren't on Switch and I don't see how it works as an exclusivity issue as the character themselves are already on Ninty consoles and it's the character not the PS game that is licenced out.
@Grumblevolcano I still don't really agree or follow that logic. I see most of these series' as more than the sum of its parts nowadays rather than that one game from the 90s myself.
@Grumblevolcano So what? Persona is way more PS exclusive/oriented to this day still but it didn't stop Joker coming to Smash and those franchises are alot more than a game from 30 years ago and have their own history now. Not to say they weren't important parts of PlayStation history but that PS history doesn't need to rewritten or erased to be apart of Smash.
Like I said I don't really agree with your logic but each to their own.
Not a Sonic fan by any stretch of the imagination but I still am hoping Eggman is getting in. He has a fun personality, they could be very inventive with his moveset and, most importantly, another villain is always a good pick in my book. The villains just bring so much personality, the game has just felt so much more complete with Sephiroth Eggman would really help too, the Sonic music collection is also abysmal so there's that as well.
@mr_somewhere Yes, I agree completely. Sonic really needs another rep, it just feels so underrepresented in Smash, given the franchises stature in gaming (although you could say it's been waning over the past several years). Also, in addition to music, lets have a good Sonic stage, may we? Not crap like Windy Hill Zone... eugh... And in terms of villains, after Sephiroth, Eggman is the only villain I can see who would be a worthy follow-up to him. And in terms of him as a Sonic character, I'd much prefer him to Tails.
Neutral B=Assault Rifle (Like joker's gun but it reaches way farther)
Side B=Grenade (Like banjo's egg grenade but it doesn't bounce and you can choose how far it goes)
Up B= Jetpack (Makes you fly for a limited time)
Down B=Trap (Activates when someone stands on it, disappears after activation
Final Smash=Squad Victory royale (similar to the other cinematic final smashes. Player summons 3 teammates and enters a cutscene where the squad shoots up anyone who was close when the players were summoned.)
Stage= Island Tour (A flying stage that takes you through popular locations of the old and new map like Tilted Towers, Tomato town, Lazy Lake, Craggy Cliffs, you get the idea)
Styles
Completely agree about Eggman, he's gotta be in the Egg Mobile if he gets in, they'll probably have to do some funky stuff with his proportions (as they have done before) to get him to fit but it would give him a much more diverse moveset, they can easily pull his normals and specials from various boss fights classic and otherwise.
