Huh, this is strange. I tried downloading the update, but there's an X mark where the progress bar should be. I have nothing else downloading and my internet connection is fine. Does anyone else have this problem?

So I guess no one has it yet, then? Was gonna ask how you would force the characters to spawn inside a box, in brawl you did this by placing spikes on top of the box, but...yeah, no spikes. lol
EDIT: actually, I think I have an idea, never mind. (yes I'm serious, I'm recreating my Chaos Box, lol)

EDIT 2: ...Okay never mind, I just had to place the box itself at the very top just under the gray area, it causes everyone to spawn inside. lol

EDIT 3: Well that was fun and totally worth it, lol

Well, maintenance is over and it's still not working for me. Is it still happening to you guys? This is unbelievable...

That is weird...give it a bit I guess. :/

Eshop was operating normally for about two minutes for me, but I was booted out once again due to a server error.

...Maintenance is still happening apparently...that's what my error says anyways.

@Joeynator3000 I know, right? I turned off my Switch so I could give it a nice cooldown after my XC2 session and continually checking if my Smash Ultimate update would actually download. I'll go check tomorrow 'cause I'm tired as heck. If it still doesn't work, I guess I'm gonna have to talk to Nintendo about it... apparently you can cancel update downloads? I can't find such a thing, though.

I already have the update and had my fun with the builder for now, I just want to play Cuphead already! TwT lol

finally got it downloaded.
i loved the fact that we can used a controller to make stages in stage builder again (i might be wrong, but i think that was never in Smash Bros Wii U.)
Joker is pretty fun to play as, i like his moves, it will take me some time to get used to playing as him.

My update hasn't even started.

And I can't visit the eShop on my 2ds either (I like to check the sales every now and then).

I just uploaded a level. Do you get notified if someone plays/“yeahs” your level?

Another reason to own the Nintendo Online mobile App. Damn it Nintendo, you always find a way to bring app installs back.

Managed to download the update, yet to play it as the commute this morning was nose to nose with people (earlier cancelled train).

Joker plays pretty meh... the rebellion gauge mechanic is kinda unreliable . If you don't perform well with Arsene around you lose advantage, Joker is pretty helpless without his persona. Also, apparently you get almost zero knockback from being shot multiple times with a handgun, gotta try that in real life.

Obviously I stil have to get the hang of Joker, but that is my experience so far. I almost got him in Elite smash but I'll probably drop him after that. Too bad because I love Persona 5.

My update is finally downloading!!!

After 3 games I like Joker so far, he lacks power and I don't get the meter thing yet but I'll figure it out.

Has anyone tried to a pixel art stage yet? I'm not going to yet, but I just want to know, apparently your "pixels" have to be 4x4, which is going to be annoying. Also wished you could change the texture color so you had more options there. shrugs

Anyways I'll eventually make a sad attempt to create a stage with one of my favorite anime girls, maybe more if the limits will let me. lol

Though I've never played Persona 5 (I plan to at some point!), I enjoy playing as Joker. He's definitely at his best when you fill up the meter though, since his special moves are more powerful. Mementos is a pretty cool stage, too.

The stage builder isn't too bad, either. It's already much better than Smash 4's, since you can either use the touch screen or the controller and free-form drawing is optional. As far as I can remember, Smash 4's stage builder forced you to draw all the terrain in free-form - I tried it and I didn't care for it that much. Kinda lame that you can't copy-paste objects, though.

Can anyone help me figure out the area of the drawable space in the large stage setting? (using the grid option obviously)
I'm terrible when it comes to counting tiny squares and figuring all of that out, I want to see if making an anime background is possible.
